Lots of parking but it's irritating when people just park in front of Food Lion and walk in instead of just walking the extra 10 feet to get in the store. I wish they had more of a variety of items but the service is great. They need to expand the store a little bit more. The bathrooms are clean as well as the parking lot. The lines are usually short and it doesn't take long to get in and out of here. I wish they had more wheelchair equipped carts.

Life is easier when you have a pick-up. This store also carries seedless watermelons. The price & flavor is worth it.

I'm sorry, Corporate needs to check this store out. Convenient location and friendly staff but on multiple occasions I've found moldy produce, frozen foods that had obviously thawed and refrozen (bags of veggies that are one frosty, freezer burned ice block), and just this morning I opened what turned out to be I believe my 4th carton of spoiled almond milk in the last 6 months. There was still over a month left on the expiration date. I also want to say, check expiration dates on anything you grab. At least once that I know of I've come home with a perishable good from this store that expired six months prior.

I frequent this store often. The staff is very helpful, especially dairy, produce, and meat. On occasion, I do use the woman's restroom, and over the past month, each visit is the same. Unfortunately, it needs a deeper clean to remove the strong urine odor and the nastiness along the walls, corners, and behind the door.

Someone in corporate management needs to visit this store. It is filthy, things are never stocked, the cashier's are so unprofessional as is the manager and it is very different from the Food Lion stores in areas where there is more money. I will not buy any food from this store. It's just awful.

I live very very close to this store and I often visit here 2 to 3 times a day. I have observed a heavy set manager by the name of Brandon always stocking shelves. I have witnessed him, SEVERAL times, wipe large amounts of sweat from his head with his bare hands and then, without washing or even sanitizing his hands, immediately touch the items he’s stocking (yes, this includes your produce and meat). I have reported this several times, online and in store, only to be ignored, or have the other manager, Dina, give me attitude. The cashiers are always unhappy looking, and have attitudes and act like customers are disrupting them when we come to their line. Most of the stockers are younger kids, and are often standing around. If you ask them for assistance locating items, they act like you’re speaking another language. Nick is by FAR the worst. I had a small issue with him one evening and now every time I walk past him while shopping, he’s whispering ugly things under breath. The head manager is a total azz-hat and acts like he’s Gods gift to retail grocery. But hey, I live less than half a mile from here, and they have food. So Ill continue to go. Just WASH/WIPE OFF YOUR ITEMS!!

The ppl know me and always helpful and polite! I can be in and out! Love it! Close to home 🏡 convenient when been at work all day and need stop for dinner. We shop here at least 3 times a week. Love the Food Lion savings card. Even when busy easy get in and out. Fave part of shopping at food lion is discount card at end and watch total go down.

The employees are always awesome. The only time I get to do my shopping is late unfortunately but they never give me a hard time and are always pleasant at check oput and in the store when they are working on the aisles etc.. the only bad thing would be the lack of merchandise. The shelves are seldomly stocked very well and have to go elsewhere for items .

It's a Food Lion. They have the basics that you need and that is really about it. If you want a specialty store you will need to go to a bigger city. General it is clean and things are easy to find.

Great staff, front end associates are super nice and helpful. Always mindful about bagging, always greet you with a smile, they even put your groceries in your cart for you at the register. Great prices, very clean, and great produce and meat departments.

I got a nice welcome, friendly meat man in the back, he was stocking the meat, the customers seem to all speek as we passed each other, you won't get that much in California where all the people sleek and are nice. They had on the heat so you would be warm because of the snow and chill outside. Clean store...I think this might be my choice out of all the food lions I've been to so far 😁

This Food Lion usually has a steady flow of people. It is in a strip mall but the parking is good and the parking lot is in good shape. (Yes that determines if I shop somewhere). The produce is fresh, with minimal gnats. Overall the store is pretty well stocked, I gave it a 4 because for some reason, no one speaks anymore. Or even acknowledge you with a smile or a head nod. 🤔 but then again I didn't go to the supermarket to make friends.😕It is Powhatan so I keeping hoping to find a little bit of that country hospitality. You won't find it here, just get your groceries, pay & leave. 😂

Stop in get lunch, no salads made, one employees said they could fix one. I said that be great. Waited & waited. So I stuck my head in deli, lady just standing ask she could help, said waiting on my salad, I was told I had wait, she had two more steps do on chicken. Said forget it

Not cheap, not organized.Not a big food Lion fan and this one is out of the way for most of town.I've not had a 'bad' experience but I've not had a 'good' one.Selection isn't as good as Kroger or even Walmart and the prices just don't shine.On top of that the store has such a yellow tone to it it's just unappealing.

It's disheartening when you are an essential working 60hours a week and you try to shop for your family on your only day off and there is nothing left to buy. And when you do find items there are limits to what you can buy....when not design an essential employee shopping day on Saturday morning with fully stocked shelves

Considering at the moment I'm extremely sick my trip was very pleasant. I couldn't for the life of me find the honey. It was down the one isle I didn't want to go down because I had both my kids with me lol the candy isle. I asked a lady that was stocking the bakery area and without any attitude at all she immediately stopped what she was doing and took us straight to it. I typically dont shop at any food lion because of prices but I'm sure I'll go back at some point

I used the new Food Lion in Powhatan. Always friendly, helpful, and you don't have to check yourself out. Veggies are always fresh fruit to. I come here because of the quality

Poor, third time I've bought produce, only to me over charged. Sale signs don't match the price at register. Twice in Amelia and now in Powhatan. They ripping people off. Don't plan to return.

It's relatively expensive, but they have slightly higher quality food, so I cant complain. Honestly I'm just glad I can shop quickly and get out without the employees talking my ear off
