Horrible customer service in the pharmacy department. The pharmacy tech was caught in a couple of lies, that I verified with another Walgreens pharmacist. She didn't offer any assistance on finding another local Walgreens for me to pick up my medication, which is something they are capable of doing, which has been done for me in the past, especially when this pharmacy was at fault, and had me contact my physicians for authorizations that were already provided and approved. I will never return to this location. However, I will say that some of the workers are very polite and greet you.

If I could put zero stars I would. I have been there multiple times and it is unexplainably closed or you have to go in which isn’t a problem if you know about this and can plan for it. I have used Walgreens at various locations for years and haven’t had this happen before. I will be going to a different pharmacy.

Very rude pharmacy tech who kept me on hold over 15-minutes. She instructed me to come in as she “tried’ to put it through my secondary insurance. When I arrived to pick up my medication she acknowledged me but walked without saying anything. After waiting at the counter for awhile, I finally asked her what was going on with my prescription. She told me to sit down as it still had not been put through my secondary insurance. As I waited she yelled at the computer several times hitting the keys over and over, “it’s not working!”Finally another tech behind the counter was able to put it through successfully. She never explained the issue or apologized for my wait. I will be changing to another Pharmacy as they show me a lack of respect and demonstrate they don’t want my business. I’ll let my money do the walking…

Waited on hold for over 30 minutes just for nobody to answer and then they hung up on me. I literally have to drive there just to ask for a refill on my medication,Or to ask if it’s even available. Do better, Walgreens….

My one year needs his medication it is detrimental to his life. Every single time I call this location they answer just to place me on hold and then allowing the call to disconnect. Then the surprise the pharmacy I guess changed their hours but the website says other wise listing until 10 pm. I understand this industry can be heavy but please do not take it out on us because the lack of customer service at this location is highly upsetting.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Currently been on hold for well over almost an hour and a half to talk to a pharmacy tech about an RX I ordered 4 days ago. Called yesterday to inquire about, was on hold for 40 minutes, wasn't told what was wrong or why it was taking so long, yet told me it would be ready yesterday after 2pm...and here we are 630pm today. It's like no one cares at Walgreens. This isn't the first, second or third time this problem has occurred when everything on my end is in order. I've never been unreasonable, and always been patient and considerate, but now I will never recommend this pharmacy to anyone, and I will be spreading the word about how ridiculous my situation is. Not even the DMV was ever THIS horrid in terms of customer service, and that speaks volumes. I'm changing pharmacies immediately.

The store is clean an organized, which is unique in this area. The prices, like all Walgreens are high, but that’s to be expected. The cashier was friendly, but she was eating and talking about her smoke break.

Was just on hold for 25 minutes. I could hear it ring and then I was put back on hold. Then the call disconnected. I am transferring from CVS where I waited one hour in line. This isn't much better. I hope your companies become less ableist - for those who do not have infinite time and energy to waste.

One of the best Walgreen Pharmacy’s on the East Coast. I have to travel the East Coast for my job as a Boat Captain and often times when it’s time to fill my medication I am at work therefore my prescriptions are out of State and most Walgreens give me a hard time witch is unjustified because I have been filling the same medication at the same Drug Store Franchise since 2009. This Walgreens have ALWAYS made my experience as easy as possible and I’m very grateful for that. God Bless

As a person who deals in only online banking I was delighted to find that(CHIME) my bank chose "Walgreens " as a dedicated fee free place to make cash deposit or loading as its called. I always used Walgreens as my place when it was 4.95 . I can honestly say the Frederick blvd Walgreens has made every single interaction a seamless and pleasant experience. As always this will continue to be my go to walgreens to trust with my business.

Was the only person getting vaccinated 3 people in line picking up prescriptions still waited 40mins to get vaccinated. Don't give appointments if you not going to at least take the person close to their appointment time. Other than that they were very nice and professional.

Do. NOT. Use. This. Pharmacy! They NEVER answer the phone, but then tell you that you have to CALL to get certain prescriptions filled! The cumulative HOURS I have spent on hold just to be HUNG UP ON are COUNTLESS at this point! If there are any issues, they won’t call/notify you, and half the time they don’t start filling my prescription until I pull/walk up (even though it was supposed to be done HOURS before.) Just do yourself a favor and take your scripts elsewhere.

Receive some rude rude service from the folks in pharmacy online shows that the pharmacy is open until 10:00 p.m. the woman I spoke with said that they were closing in 10 minutes and I called at 7:50 she was not willing to help me with my issue due to another Walgreens having a random closure and I was not able to get my medication. Highly disappointed at the level of customer service and professionalism.

Waited in drive thru for 45 mins. Had my prescription transferred to this walgreens because other walgreens was out of medication. They filled my prescription but would not release it to me even after i shared with them the other walgreens had all of my information. My medication can only be filled with authorization. Clearly they had authorization or it would not have been transferred or filled. They are too lazy to call the other pharmacy. But i had to wait for the pharmacist to come from the restroom. Pharmacist was rude and would not listen. I should have known better than to go there.

Edit: Just wasted my entire lunch trying to get on the phone with them to rectify the insurance issue. Called once waited on hold for 30+ minutes just to be hung up on, called again same story 30+ minutes on hold to be hung up on. I plan to immediately leave this pharmacy and never return.Very very annoyed with the pharmacy at this location. I have my prescription set to auto refill/renew and it has never been a problem before. This time during the auto refill process I did receive a call from Walgreen's and they left a voicemail stating they were out of stock of my medication at the time and would refill as soon as they could once it came in, they never mentioned anything else. I'm waiting and waiting to get a call when it's ready to pick up and back in stock, I never get one. I login to my account to see if there's any status there and it states prescription can not be filled due to issue with insurance. Well sure would've been nice if you called or attempted in any way shape or form to let me know this instead of just ignoring the refill request. Now I am over a week behind on my medication and still don't have it.

Customer service is very rude in the pharmacy and don't let it be busy...they yell at you. Specifically, the young lady with dark glasses and dark sort of curly hair. She's extremely RUDE! They really need to get her some Customer Service training. I let the manager know but who knows if that'll make any difference. This is a horrible Walgreens pharmacy if they continue to allow that type of customer service!

I despise my time wasted but it’s also the fact that they’re so strict about needing an appt but today decided they would be closed. Zero justification. I was told they would honor my appt at some other time later in the week when I arrived for my 4pm*. I am suppose to TRUST you will honor something when you couldn’t even honor the original appt? Then the attitude of the associates was of a “well I called” Listen stop wasting peoples time & thinking I have to figure out another time in which I can “be available “ for when Walgreens pharmacy can work. If YOU can’t honor an appt you set my appt up somewhere else on THE DATE in which it was scheduled . Pure laziness and zero respect for the customers time. I ended up having to get another number to file a complaint since the associate gave me the appt line again . I know why her attitude was that way but trust in VA beach or Chesapeake this wouldn’t have happened they just feel as if it’s Portsmouth no big deal

Pharmacy can’t seem to get anything in order. I was on the phone with a pharmacist tech and she abruptly stopped talking and didn’t tell me if I was on hold or not, I waited 10 minutes and didn’t get a response from her. I still haven’t received my medication that was supposed to be ready over a week ago, I’m switching pharmacies because of this mess. There have been other issues in the past that I have ignored, but this has been frustrating especially since this medication is important to my health.

Every time i try to fill my prescriptions there is a problem that i have to call the store about but i wait on hold for 15+ minutes. Now today we have COVID and the pharmacy is temporarily closed and i cant get ahold of ANYBODY else in the store to find out when they'll open. The one person who answered on the general store line cut me off and transfered me to the CLOSED pharmacy where nobody could answer. We can't go in store because I dont want to get anybody else sick but we desperstely need these medications and can't even get them because of this. This place is absolutely horrible.

Been waiting for a medication that was called in from my doctor for almost 3 weeks. The website said they ordered it, the auto phone line says they ordered it. I tried calling to speak to a pharmacist but was on hold so long, I figured they would just say they ordered it. I'm new to this area, so I guess I found out the hard way that Walgreens in Portsmouth, VA is not the pharmacy I should have picked. I will definitely be switching pharmacies, since this one can not produce my needed medication.

Been going to this Walgreens for awhile now because of location. I recently had my husband pick up my prescription. He called me to say that they didn't have any prescription ready in my name, even though they sent me several messages that it was ready. After he waited for 10 minutes they found the prescription. Only to be the wrong one.I did not look at it until the next day. They had gave me a different brand of my regular prescription. I called the pharmacist and was told that the manufacturer they usually get it from was out, so they automatically got it elsewhere. Well, I am allergic to the other brand and I feel they should have called me before filling the prescription from another manufacturer. Good thing I have enough of my of prescription to carry me through another month.1/29/2020 Update: Picked up my prescription and I received my regular Brand Rx and a bottle of the other BRAND that I had requested for them to not give to me. Guess I will be looking for another pharmacy.

I hate giving bad reviews but this Walgreen's pharmacy is not the best. It always takes a really long time to get any prescriptions. I've been waiting on a call/text to pick up my son's medication all day just to call and hear that the pharmacy is temporarily closed. Guess I'll be switching medications to a different pharmacy.

Was billed twice for meds called store was placed on hold for 10 minutes, transferred to three people who kept asking about receipt. Informed manager of this who seemed to be irritated about me asking about be billed twice. Informed manager my receipt were ruined by I could provided the necessary info from my account in the app. The manager stated its a HIPPA violations even though it's my info. Who wants to be billed twice and treat like it's the customers fault. This a not like Walgreens to not give go customer service.

Good lord!! Horrible staff!! The pharmacy tech got caught in a lie, she told me my insurance was expired (it wasnt) and lied to my husband, saying she called the number on the back (she didnt) of the card. My husband called the insurance company and they told him, she DID NOT CALL. when my husband told her this, she ran off to the back of the store!! All she had to do was put my info in!! She couldn't even be bothered to do that?! And she lied about it to me, to my husband AND to the assistant manager!! This is someone's prescription she is messing around with!!!

In the midst of a pandemic, where fear and misinformation run rampant, the ladies who work in this pharmacy location are terrific. They are patient, and calm, reassuring each customer they interact with despite other customers rudeness and impatience. Much like all front line folks, these employees are doing the absolute best job they can in a high stress/high demand environment and they don't get nearly the gratitude or appreciation they deserve. Thanks for a job well done.

Made an appointment for Covid booster scheduled for 11am completed registration and authorization online, arrived at the store at 10:45 am day of appointment. They could not print authorization and I have been sitting waiting to get my booster for an hour now. What is the purpose of completing an form online or even making appointment if you still have to wait over an hour. Unsatisfactory!@

On hold with the pharmacy for over an hour. No notification the pharmacy was closed. When we were on hold, the call said there are two callers left. After we got hung up on by the system twice, we called the store just to be told the pharmacy isn't open for two days. There was no notification anywhere. Not good. And a waste of my time when I needed to get the RX filled. I will be switching pharmacies and not going there again.
