Why does it take a full week to get a prescription filled? I can see one day, two days….maybe 3. But a FULL 7 DAYS to fill a simple prescription?! Without a follow up to say whether the prescription is out of stock? This pharmacy is going down, just like the company. You’re better filling your prescriptions elsewhere.

I love this place! I have been with this company for soooo long and each time a location is closed I move to another location same pharmacy. Pleasant and friendly staff, clean store, and always prompt with my medication. Thank you all sooooo much and please don’t go anywhere no time soon! God bless

Very nice store, very clean, everything is easy to find. My only complaint is that the pharmacy never picks up the phone no matter how long it rings. I can only assume that either they're always slammed with customers/patients, or the phone just isn't a high priority there..?

My family and I have been customers of this location for 15 years. Over the years, we’ve seen changes, some for the better and some for the worse. Recently, they have taken on customers from another Rite Aid that closed. Clearly, they were not prepared. The drive-thru lines are out in the street because you wait for over 30 minutes to get to the pick up window. You can’t call the store to fill prescriptions on the automated system because the line is constantly busy. There are other problems at this location that too numerous to continue to list here. My family and I will be moving to another pharmacy that’s actually closer to our home.UPDATE:Things only got slightly better after this post. But not good enough for me to stay a customer. I’ve started getting my prescriptions mailed to me. It’s cheaper and less of a headache.

The store was well laid out, organized, and clean. The checkout was fast. It’s a nice stop for a few items or for medical needs. The prices are high, as with all drug stores, but this is a nice Rite Aid.

This by far is the WORST rite aid pharmacy I have ever been to. I ended up moving my family’s pharmacy to Walgreens. It takes them over 2 business days to fill one prescription. And it happens EVERY SINGLE TIME. You can never get a phone call through and they are beyond slow helping customers. Rite aid should be ashamed.

Terrible pharmacy. If they answer the phone it’s straight to hold. They’ll tell you your prescription is ready and to come pick it up anytime and you get there and wait in line only to be told it’ll be 2 hrs.

Absolutely unacceptable customer service. The doctor sent a prescription to them for pain management of 3 broken bones. Upon calling the pharmacy while on my way to pick them up was told it would be 5 days as they are backed up with others ahead of me. I will definitely take my business elsewhere.

I have been going to this pharmacy for 10 years and this place is such a disappointment anymore. As others have stated, no one answers the phones anymore and my prescriptions do not get auto filled anymore. I just picked up a script for aspirin and the bottle says quantity is 120 but it had 30 in it. I take for per day. Plus, I had to wait 8 days for them to order the aspirin where before they would just pull it off the shelf. I called Rite Aid customer service over two months ago and told them the same thing and their response was that they were working on it. Well nothing has changed, its just gotten worse in my opinion. So please do not ask me to call customer service again. It does nothing other than Rite Aid checking that box that they spoke to someone and they are working on fixing the issues. So unprofessional.

This place never answers the telephone. It just rings and rings. On the rare occasion someone does answer, they immediately place you on hold for anywhere up to 20 minutes. They used to be pretty decent until the Rite-Aid on Airline Blvd closed and all Airline’s prescriptions were sent to the Hodges Ferry location. The last time my doctor submitted electronic prescriptions to Rite-Aid, I waited 3 days for them to be filled! Because of that I switched to Wal-Mart pharmacy and have had no issues.

This place is terrible never answer the phone you have to hit the corresponding number for a doctor to get anyone even on the phone. Besides that they never have your medicine ready or send you text messages letting you know your medicine is ready. It's just The worst not sure how hard it is to fill prescriptions. I would avoid at all cost maybe found a small local pharmacy to fill your prescriptions you'll be way better off.

If I could put 0 I would. Ever since they closed the other Rite Aid location in Portsmouth this location has been absolutely, and absurdly slow.They REFUSE to answer their phones!! They are insanely behind on filling prescriptions and the lack of empathy and responsibility from both the employees on site, and corporate to resolve the issue is infuriating.Not only are they weeks behind on filling they will not call you to inform of any issues. Out of stock - they don’t care, insurance issues - nothing, they literally don’t care. Calling to ask any questions is futile, calling for a status - don’t even think about it. Expecting it to be ready without a trip to prompt the fill - NOT going to happen. Also, don’t think you’ll just wait for it either. It took 1.5 hours of waiting, in their face, when the prescription was supposed to be auto refilled 4 days earlier! Asinine!

I’ve been without my medication for 2 days now. I called multiple times to refill my prescriptions and because I couldn’t get in touch with a pharmacist, I had to call and order using the automated system. I had inquiries regarding the prescriptions being filled. I went ahead and filled it using the automated system and showed up a day later, more than 24 hours later to pick them up and my prescriptions were NOT ready! EVERY TIME I come to this location, I am waiting 30+ minutes in drive thru and I can’t even say the inside would even be any better. I was told they wouldn’t have my prescription ready until tomorrow unless I wanted to sit inside and wait for 25 minutes for it to be ready although I called more than 24 hours in advance for it to be filled when I arrived at the location. We are still in a COVID environment where sick people are going to these locations to get COVID tests, pick up medication when they’re sick with COVID, etc. I’m not sitting in Rite Aid for 25 minutes being pregnant and also asthmatic. I was okay with sitting in my vehicle and coming inside to pick it up but having to be present for the entire 25 minutes when the person called in prescriptions that far in advance does not make sense. You should take into consideration that there are reasons why some people don’t come inside of locations. After the experience I’ve had here on several occasions and the amount of time I’ve wasted, I will no longer support Rite Aid, AT ALL! I don’t live close and I do not wish to keep wasting my gas! This place is ridiculous. Go to Walgreens or CVS!EDIT: In response to the reply I received, I contacted customer care and I have yet to receive a call back from the regional manager. If you truly want to improve the customer service your customers are receiving, please do more than just reply to reviews and actually become involved. I’m seriously concerned as this was not the first instance and it seems as though others are experiencing the same issues. Please take action. People lives are on the line when they can’t get the medication they need. Customers rely on the pharmaceutical staff to provide the medication needed to either survive or carry out their day to day activities.

The pharmacy never answers the phone but if you get lucky enough and they do answer you will be put straight on hold. I have to request refills and deliveries numerous times before it is taken care of. This pharmacy makes Wal-Mart pharmacy look good so I think maybe I will just switch back. Fill your Rx anywhere but here. They NEVER answer their phone. Don’t believe me? Try for yourself. The Pharmacist is also a joke. I asked him questions about 2 different over the counter cold medicines for my kid. He wasn’t able to tell me the differences between the two active ingredients. I had to Google it. He also never mentioned to me that one was approved for my daughters age and the other wasn’t. He acted as if I was annoying him with the questions. He lost all credibility with me.

Poor customer service, takes 2 months to transfer over your medications from another Pharmacy. Once a prescription is called in from your Dr Office expect 2-3 days to get your medicine. They never answer the phone, and staff is unfriendly.

This pharmacy sucks. every time i get scripts filled for diabetes supplies for my husband they either give me the wrong amount of insulin pens or charge me the wrong amount for it. a several times ive been told scripts were ready and come to get them and they aren’t. several times ive called to get scripts filled and been told they need to be ordered, and then when i call two days later to check if they’ve arrived they have no idea what i’m talking about and never ordered them. it is beyond frustrating and literally every single time it’s always something. i do not recommend.

No matter what time of the day you can't speak with anyone in the Pharmacy. They don't answer the phone. I was looking for a specific medication. I told that this Pharmacy was the only one that had it. Didn't want to make a trip for no reason if they didn't have it, so I call no on answer for two days that I was calling. Bad customer service.

Customer service is very poor. Nobody ever answers the phone in the pharmacy and when you call the store they put you on hold then when you call customer service they do absolutely nothing. I will not be using them again. They are unprofessional and don't deserve to have any business. No need for a fake customer service response with an automated reply to this message.

Dear corporate, you need to help this store out now. They are a sinking ship on fire and someone is going to die waiting for your meds. Hire more staff, bring in Emergency help, whatever you need to do, but fix it. They've turned off the phone for weeks because they can't handle the calls. Not bad people, but this is a mess. I Became a little frustrated at how busy this location has become since Airline closed down. But They Have Made Super Adjustments & Had My Medicine in stock. I Am Glad I Didn't Get my scripts transferred out because I love the people in the pharmacy!

Worst place to go to now for prescriptions. I've been coming here for 10+years. I've been trying for 2 weeks to get a hold of someone in the pharmacy & still no luck. This is an ongoing thing since they took on customers from another rite aid that had closed. I will be switching pharmacies!

I don't understand why y'all don't answer the phone 😒. I have used this location for over 20 years. Really don't want to change because I have gotten to know everyone. But, when my refills get messed up and I have wait day, it's just sad. Makes me feel bad go without my 💊. I drive from greenbrier. Because I like y'all.

always takes FOREVER no matter what time or day or if there are any cars… the employees running the drive thru will have you there for at least 15 minutes, & that’s if you’re the only one there. I always have issues. Will not be returning.

UPDATE 02/12/2023The head pharmacist isPURE RUDENESS and from the mostly new faces. The old pharmacist/associates were awsum...NOW....awful.The vast majority of the old pharmaceutical staff are fantastic. Very quick to help solve any problems and get you any information. Now...we are leaving after 7yr customers

The store is overall clean and the customer sevice for the store has always been amazing. The pharmacy on the otherhans is another story, the receptionist was quite rude when I asked questions. They may be questions that she’s asked all the time, but I was looking for answer to an unknown problem with my medication. Just treat people nicely when you work with the general public, it’s only fair.
