This is your average Food Lion in the area. It’s nothing special, but it has the necessities. During your visit there were only two registers with open lights, but one had no cashier. I could not wait in line behind a full grocery purchase for one item, so I left without making a purchase. The store appeared basically clean and well laid out.

Lax standards for food safety. On several occasions I've witnessed boxes marked with "Keep frozen" or "Keep refrigerated" stacked in aisles or other areas. Their prices are higher than other stores, too. Drive the extra 2 minutes to Kroger.

When visiting this location DO NOT come in with the mindset of a normal Food Lion. Clean, accommodating, and fully stocked. IT IS NOT the employees or even the store, it is the element of the environment around the store and that element pouring into the store. The staff and customers have to deal with panhandlers all day, and then the shoplifting at this location is outrageous even with security patrolling the store. The only reason I give this location 2 - Stars is simply because of the staff and everything that they have to put up with. They need to install an internal and external camera system and hire more staff and armed security personnel.

I can count on this Food Lion having in stock what the other one didn't have. MVP Rewards gets you plenty of free savings. Often Food Lion has better produce than its main competitors. Most of the prices are competitive too. Always check the sales paper for great deals.

Very nice employees, only reason 3 stars is 3 cashiers working on a Sunday after church services, in a town with a church on every block. 23 minutes to checkout. Ugh!

Probably won't return again to this location even though the location is convenient for me. Every time I have gone to this store, I end up going home to find at least 3+ items that are listed on my receipt and that I paid for are not in my bags when I get home. Unfortunately I don't have the time to go back and request those items back so every time I shop here I might as well just throw about $20 each trip in the trash as I leave since I'm effectively already doing that.

Food Lion is not a fancy, hipster, organic food store where the cool and fabulous shop. The store doesn't have a lot of variety or originality but it's the most affordable grocery store in town. The store always has good sales. It's not huge but it's not small. I like that it doesn't take three hours to push your cart through the store. I can always find a parking spot pretty close to the front. The store is clean and the staff is friendly. Everything is easy to find. It's a good neighborhood grocery store.

OMG, the Food Lion on London Blvd, was a mess. Don't get me wrong, the store was clean and well maintained, BUT...when I made it to the front to check out with my 12 items, they only had ONE register open. The line had formed down middle of the grocery aisle at 4:17pm. After a few minutes, they opened two other registers. For some reason the cashiers did not turn on their lights, letting shopper know their register was open. Something very unpleasant was going on amonst the cashiers. Life is too short to get caught up in other peoples drama. I will stick with the Food Lion on Victory never had an issue there.

This location can be hit or miss, one day they have everything, and then another you can't even find 2% milk (like today). Sales are usually good and prices aren't as high as Kroger seems to be. Needs to do a better job keeping stock of everyday consumables like milk.

Good produce, decent meat selection (they were waiting for the truck today and had no spare ribs or whole chicken). The staff is terrible, was waiting in line behind a woman who was having trouble with something, no big deal. The cashier at the customer service desk (which was closed) looked aroat my wife and I then proceeded to check out 2 employees in uniform and go back to the other side of the area behind the counter. A few minutes late (still waiting in behind the woman have an issue) she checks out another customer who she seemed to know, when asked if she was open she stated I'm closed and went back to the corner of the customer service area and started talking with another employee. Have always liked this store but will be giving my business to Kroger or Farm Fresh from now on.

I go to this particular Food Lion all the time and the experience is usually pleasant. Not today. As I was checking out the cashier seemed to be upset about something. As I watched her aggressively scan my items and send them down the belt without bagging it up it hit me. She was upset about having to bag my groceries. My problem is not with the cashier but the three employees that I saw that could have been helping her.

Not only am I a customer at food Lion I'm also an employee so I love the prices the deals and definitely the MVP card it's always very clean and organized and our customer service is top notch even with the area that we're in!

I personally like this Food Lion because it seems to be pretty well stocked and I've always been able to get decent produce here. also the few times I've needed help with something the employees actually answered my questions in a friendly way and seemed very willing to help me. Also the prices seem pretty good, I believe in most instances they are comparable to the bigger stores. Also they happen to have a couple of great deals on items I needed the day I stopped by.

Don't worry Food Lions got you covered. Shelves are stocked, people are social distanceing, clerks and staff are friendly plus wearing their mask properly. It's my kinda place and you should make it yours. Stay positive but stay negative.

Store hours are incorrect on Google. It closes at 10pm on most weekdays. Great place to hang out if you're homeless though. The cashiers are a 75/25 split. One day you'll get someone who speaks and responds to you, but mostly it's just some sullen, disrespectful underachiever that slams down your stuff and is incapable of making eye contact.

This Food Lion location is a mess, to put it nicely. The staff is rude, and highly unprofessional. It's always dirty and the aisles always seem to be crowded with employees stocking shelves or unnecessary displays. Not to mention the constant hassle from people out front asking for money, and we're not talking polite homeless people (there's a reason this Food Lion has a security guard on duty)!There are plenty of other grocery stores in the area that offer better deals, so I'd recommend you stay away from here and go elsewhere.

A little pricey and doesn't carry some of the brands I am used to, saw a man in boxer shorts and t-shirt in the store. Check out always takes a long time compared to other stores. On the plus side, the store was clean and we'll stocked with the items they do carry.

Its a good food lion they have a good selection of food. You have to always be on your gard here though because bums & homeless hang around the back of the building. Sometimes they hang out in front of the building & will even approach you for money so there's that to always be on guard for. All & all though its a good food lion. If they fixed the bum problem I'd raise my score.

There was a gentleman there that assisted me with putting my two cases of water in my basket and offered to put them in my car for me too. The cashier was pleasant and helpful.I enjoyed my visit and will return.

We stood at at the bakery deli counter waiting for help with a birthday cake while 2 women behind the counter made repeated eye contact with us yet ignored us for over 5 minutes --- so we gave up. This is the norm at this store. If you need any assistance from deli or bakery staff go to Farm Fresh or elsewhere for service.
