The selection at the store itself is average for the area. Prices are higher than other area chains, but Food Lion is not the highest in the area other. I will note that in the past year that the associates have become friendlier than in the past although I would in no way say the customer service is good. I had a cashier hand me a receipt over her shoulder while her back was to me. She was speaking to another associate about her child’s father. This store is in a rough area, so you get what you expect.

Good selection, updated store. Plenty of parking but don't park too far out because the grocery carts have wheels that will stop working after a certain point

This place is ghetto, rude and rarely keeps things stocked up. Plus they refuse to add automatic checkout, which is annoying since they also refuse to fill up the cash registers with employees. AND to top it all off, I have to go to a longer register with a backed up line because they suddenly implemented a policy where a cashier cannot serve their family member...even though I'm not a family member of that particular cashier, just a roommate. Additionally, they don't seem to do anything about homeless people peddling outside the store. I tolerated all of it for my roommate but since she cannot provide me with consumer service, I have no reason to keep my complaints quiet. All and all, it's poor consumer service, I'll definitely use the one in Chesapeake from now on.LEGAL NOTICE: It is illegal to retaliate against someone for posting an honest review of a business under the Consumer Review Fairness Act, so stay in your lane, hood rat Food Lion.

Interesting store to Say the least. bathroom was nasty produce Department left something to be desired. Cart locked up two aisles away from the door in the parking lot. Had to carry my groceries to the car. Not happy. It's a grocery store in food desert

We're down here from MD visiting our son who is stationed here in the Navy. I was VERY surprised at the prices. Unless I'm misremembering, the prices at the Food Lion up our way are not as high. But the staff is very friendly.

Love Food Lion! I don't know any other grocery store that has Buy One Get One Free (BOGO). I save a lot when they run those sales. They even took $2 off my favorite coffee with my MVP card!

Although I have experienced some unpleasant experiences at the Food Lion on London. Blvd, I have never had a bad shopping experience at this one. The people are friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend that shopping here is the way to go. 5 Thumbs Up!!!!!

The cashier actually let me enter my phone number. I hadn't been there in a while because the cashiers usually enter their own card. It was nice to actually get my rewards. The last three trips I had them void all items and went somewhere else to purchase because they used their own reward card.

Attempted to purchase two items at 2:55 p.m. Saturday December 4.There were two full-service checkouts open with long lines, and no express.Went to customer service to ask if they were opening and express checkout. Four associates caught up in their own conversation pointedly ignored me so I left the items and left the store.

The 15 minutes plus wait in line was utterly ridiculous considering I had only 3 items to purchase. No self checkout lines open and employees walking pass continuously with no sense of urgency to solve the problem. Manager on duty at the time (White Male-short) didn't look as though he was working to handle the issue either. Terrible!

This Food Lion is surprisingly convenient. It's not as big as the one closest to my house but had what I needed. The employees were VERY nice and helpful. Animated even. I was surprised at how friendly they were because some arent that nice. Its organized in a different manner but easy to navigate. Parking was adequate.

You have to buy the things that are on sale to get the best deal most of the time. The parking lot has alot of litter. Since I first posted about this store they have remodeled. You still need to shop for sale items to get the best value but it has improved.

Food Lion is a community staple. There's almost always a great deal in the sales paper. If you pay attention to prices you can save a good deal of money here. Food Lion is the closest grocery store to my house. Some things are more expensive here. Other things are significantly cheaper. It's definitely a go-to spot for pantry filling and refrigerator filling.

People at this Food Lion are rude.. the cashier slammed my bag of apples and then became belligerent with me.Also Everytime I go to Food Lion I can never find what I need. They always have expired food items on the shelf that should have been discarded. Twice I purchased items and didn't realize they was expired until I got home. What if I had visions problems and couldn't see. I have a grandmother that's blind in one eye and she shops here all the time.Its a good thing I was paying attention before I decided to eat it. Being a pregnant woman I could have gotten extremely sick which could have caused health problems for both me and my child had I ate that food. Please be aware.
