The store isn't bad but the staff isn't as friendly has the Elmhurst store and the produce and deli needs to be better stocked. Other areas of the store seem to be well kept though.

This Food Lion is better than the other one in the area. The store seems fairly clean, well stocked, and organized. It’s nothing spectacular but it’s a higher quality than other area Food Lion stores.

Purchase Kindersprout by the case, which is a plant based protein shack for my two year old who can’t drink cows milk. At first there has always been a limited supply as I purchase nearly 20 six-pack cases at nearly $15 per six pack per month, now they have taken it off the shelf altogether with no reason why! Customer care was no help at all!! I will simply take my business where our children are a priority in our community!!! Krogers keeps them in stock!!

Great local grocery store. Exceptionally clean with friendly and helpful staff. A wide variety of products and they have always had what I've wanted in stock every time I shop there. I saw a former colleague of mine who retired a year ago and we were able to have a pleasant conversation and catch up without disturbing other shoppers or blocking the aisles. This store has ample space for shopping and conversing and the store never seems crowded even when there are numerous people shopping there. They also have great sales and excellent reduced prices on closeout items. Ample parking space and great features on the building to keep birds from perching and doing their business all over the walkway and cars. Really well designed newer Food Lion store location.

I don’t understand how this store has 4.3 stars when in reality they really never want to do anything. Cakes or food and they are always rude don’t come here take the extra drive to the other food lion off of Taylor road

The PARKING LOT...is not a trash can.*** HIRE a cleaning service AND do NOT keep dirty mop water in the bucket @ the door ENTRANCE it has an odor. Remember, you sell FOOD.

Had to update due to bad experience here. There is a cashier here always high drops and actually throws my items into the bags when ringing them up instead of placing them in bag. The cashier even has ripped the bag by the force of the throw and handed the ripped bag like it didn't happen. I get having a bad day but not every time. So I avoid this store because of this and hope others don't have this experience.

The store is always clean and well stocked. It is usually not crowded unlike the bigger chain stores so you can feel more relaxed and safe. Produce is fresh and there is a nice variety to chose from.

Thank you to food lion for letting me park my truck and trailer in your parking lot. Very nice afternoon/evening manager said as long as I park all the way out close to the road. I even found a good microwave dinner.Thank you again food lion.

The new chicken sandwhich was very good and tasty, however the fries were horrible. They were chewy and tough like they had been sitting in the heat lamp since lunch a d we ordered at 7pm. We all got combo specials and not bad, but leave the fries to someone else, they sucked!

This store has improved considerably since my last review. The meat department had packs of ground beef that were slightly over one pound, instead of the packs that were a quarter of a pound under. The front end was a lot more organized, and I was able to check out quickly. Good job!

Remodeling was a pain trying to find anything. But now that it's complete, it is much better. Cleaner, above all else. Seems like even the employees have better dispositions. You feel better about your job when the environment is improved.

Okay. Here we go this in my opinion is the best food Lion in Portsmouth.I will tell you that it's very clean, when I go there they always have everything I need in stock.I would like to also have to say that the staff is friendly overall.I do very highly recommend shopping at this Food lion.Let talk about access to the store it's very close to the interstate, airline Blvd. and Green wood Drive.The parking lot is large and it's easy in and out. No problem with Food Lion. I went there because Walmart didn't have my favorite sausage. Also, what's frustrating at Walmart is ringing up my own groceries, putting it in bags and then paying for them! I may as well be working there. The employees are standing around looking at their fingernails!

Convenient location but staff are rude particularly the cashier anaya. She over charged me for a soda and wouldn't fix it or contact a manager. She also didn't give me the opportunity too put my MVP number in, absolutely unacceptable won't be coming back here.
