I had many items that were fresh and frozen that I was trying to keep cold but the cashier decided to take the person after me first because they had fewer items.Her name is Jay. I understand, but I was first and I matter too. If the person behind me was truly in a hurry they could have chosen self checkout or waited their turn.

I shop here occasionally. During my last visit, the sale items in the weekly circular were not available. If it were one item, I would not be concerned, but four items were unavailable. Best price on dry cat food in the area. The staff is always pleasant and polite.

I have been going to this store since it open every week but today was my last day. I went today had about 35 items no checkout open just self checkout had to go use it. As I'm scanning items a foodlion employee stands three feet from me watching me scan every item didn't offer to help but watched me like I was a criminal. If you are going to force customers to use self check out then you need to trust them. I'm 67 years old and not a thief and don't appreciate being treated like one. This is not first time this has happen but last time at this store.I will drive across town from now on.

Mrs Sara in the deli is awesome. If you are there between 7 and 3 and need something from the deli ask for Mrs Sara. Great customer service!

I just shopped Food Lion at this Churchland location. The staff have been pretty decent to deal with. Except lately some new young cashiers and baggers don't seem to care enough when attendung to your groceries. Today was the second time that I got irritated. The bagger had put the box of rat traps with my eggs. Luckily, I caught it and asked the traps be put in a separate bag. Then when I was loading my truck, I noticed that my 2 bags of chips were bagged separately with laundry products. That was it! I had to take pictures to show to the store manager the next time I shop there. After working for 10 hrs, I just don't have the strength to deal with them immediately.

Always able to find what Im looking for and prices are comparable to other grocery stores. Staff is usually friendly and helpful. The store is getting older and could use an update, but that doesn't take away from its purpose.

All the staff were great but I have to say that whoever cooked the fried chicken that came out at 3:16 deserves a raise! Hands down best food Lion chicken I’ve ever had . Very juicy and flavorful! He or she should give lessons to all the other people that fry chicken for food lion !

Why is it when u buy the chicken they have cooked fresh like the 8 piece fried ?? Why is it never fully cooked i just bought some and gross no wonder it was so tender. It was still real pink inside. And this is the first time I knew I should’ve known better.

TerribleCiara the cashier was asked to check me out & she told Ms. Rhonda it's almost her break & she wouldn't be able to scan my groceries because I had more than 12 items. Never in my life have I've seen such mess. Not only did she refuse to wait on a customer she also refused to follow instructions/direction from her supervisor. I spoke with David the str. Mgr. He said he would speak with her. Little bit to late for that. Employees should already know even if it says 12 items or less , You Don't refuse to wait on customers plus Ciara argued with Ms. Rhonda until it was time for her break. Ungrateful, Disrespectful, Nasty Attitudes. Respectfully Blondae' Kraemer

On 8/24/22 I visited your store, while waiting inline a lady was getting frustrated because her card wouldn't go through. I've been there and it is embarrassing. I understand you just want it to work so you can go home. She kept telling the cashier she had so much money in her account. She told him which items to take off and he complied with her wants. He asked her each time to try her card again. She just kept getting more frustrated. She told him he wasn't doing it right and he needed to put the amount in her account in the machine. He politely explained she was still over the amount she had and she needed to please tell him what items to remove. She wasn't listening, lady behind her tried to explain to her what the problem was. She kept saying over and over the cashier wasn't doing it correctly. AND he smiled and told her mam, if you just show me what items I can take off the bill, then he would be glad to do that. She accused him of laughing at her and demanded to see the manager. Lady behind her paid the extra for the groceries.BUT I want to say your cashier Vincent was so polite, patient and he really did try to help. He gets A for effort in my book, he was never out of line with her. Thanks

The staff is always restocking what's needed and mostly happy to help , but they all do help. The cashier check out is efficient yet can make you feel better with any acknowledgement. My cashier did not say anything to me the whole transaction until I received a warm have a good day.All in All , it's the average neighborhood market to grab your dinner grub , ok bub !??? Good prices and good customer service , happy holidays

Sheila is the best cashier. Friendly and always cheerful. More professional, friendly, and eager customer service can and should be practiced in the deli. They all seem like they are overworked and don't want to serve customers...Get some workers who are glad to serve in their JOB...The vegetables that are clean looking should be the only ones on display for sale...no rotting, deeply dented, and old looking vegetables should be on the shelves...I choose Food Lion over all other grocers because their produce section looks great USUALLY, but some days, not so great. The produce workers are great. It doesn't seem to bother them when I ask for fresher looking produce. Thank you.

I usually go here because the location is convenient on the way to my daughters school. Most of the associates are friendly but Meghan is not. Every time I get in her line, she never speaks. Does not greet me or ask if I found everything ok. Does not tell me my total. She’s absolutely mute the entire transaction. I figured she just wasn’t a talkative person but after she rang me up, she happily bounced over to her coworker to laugh and talk. So I know she can speak, just not to certain customers. Poor customer service.

I'm finding Food Lions' has great quality foods. Their meats are always fresh, and not bloody! Produce aisles are always stocked with an array of beautiful fruits and vegetables. Store is very clean, and of course their staff members are friendly, informative and helpful!

Usually don’t have an issue at the store but last night we asked the guy to put the prompt back up on the screen so we could re enter our phone number so we could get our discount as usual when using the mvp. He basically told us no. Idk what kind of people they have working but that’s literally the point of coming into the store to use MVP. How do you tell a customer No to not letting them put their phone number and tell them their price isn’t going to change. Train your employees better or next time calling corporate. You don’t tell someone they can’t use their MVP.

My closest supermarket. More handicap parking than Harris Teeter (across the street) Borrowed HT's Veteran Parking idea (kudos) biggest negatives poor shopping cart collection in parking area & cashiers for the most part are teens. Best time to shop for me mid-week evenings

Have a cleaning business, and I always purchase the double roll 2 per pack for $6.19. They always have quality bounty paper towels. Lots of sheets so they last a long time. You can tell when you squeeze the roll because it's always super tight or resistant .👍😉

This food lion has become one of my favorite stores. Primarily due to its amazingly convenient location. The employees there are usually up beat and they tend to act like they care that your visit was pleasant.

Rude cashier. This was my first time coming into Food Lion since moving to the area. When it was time to pay I let her know the pin pad showed “waiting.” After waiting a long time for her to pay attention, she tells me it says the same on here screen. I asked her, “ should I take out my card?” She literally stares at me and very rudely says, “ I don’t know... I literally don’t know what to do. You can take the card out if you want.” I was confused as to why she would say that to me because how do you not know!? After removing the card and her restarting the payment method it finally works. She hand me my receipt and says nothing. Very rude and unnecessary. Definitely not coming back here.

I absolutely love the Churchland Food Lion. It's close to home and I can get in and out to get the items I need without the chaos of a superstore. There's always employees available to assist and the prices are reasonable. Another big plus...the store is always clean 🙂
