They have a good Oriental selection, so if you’re looking for Asian ingredients, this store gives you tons more options than any other store in this area of Portsmouth. The grocery store itself isn’t that nice as prices are high and selection is limited. It’s not bad for foreign ingredients and items, but the rest is a place is one on which I’d pass.

The chicken is good but the waiting time is horrible! Especially when there is chicken available but for some reason they don't readily make a simple 8 piece to go!

Cashiers are not friendly and they are aggressive with handling the groceries. One cashier asked for ID for the customer before me to prove identity with his Food Stamp card, which is impossible bc there is no personal information on food stamp cards. Other cashiers gossip excessively while ringing up customers then they act unfriendly and sarcastic. I try not to shop there

The rent a cop confiscated personal property before I could shop... it was a pocket knife that was clipped to the outside of my pocket.Thought this was is America... just a bunch commies.I won't be back.

This is whole new Farm Fresh owned by Food Lion. Farm Fresh itself is no longer operating any business. But if u liked farm fresh you'll love this place, everything is exactly where it was in the old Farm Fresh before and it set up just like it was, like they never went out of business, funny huh and the prices are just as high as they've always been!! no deals here!!! I'll just continue to go to Lidl's and Save-A-Lot

Love farm fresh. But the people that fry the chicken are very evil. Always have and attitude. And they always touching on objects back there and not changing gloves. Evil as you know what. Only one nice lady back there.

I go here for the oriental section the rest of the store is not good. Very expensive and looks like it’s going to close again. I usually don’t have any issues but from time to time there are rude employees nothing too serious. Today I was checking out and noticed the person behind me which was another employee having a conversation with the cashier. I didn’t pay much mind but eventually caught on to the fact they were talking about me. I had 3 grocery bags worth of food and the man behind me said “people shop like they’re having the time of their life when you have to be somewhere“. He was buying his lunch and I guess was mad he had to wait in line. Bring your own lunch if you don’t want to be inconvenienced. I didn’t make a big deal because it looked as if this man had a physical disability I’m sure his life is already challenged so didn’t want to make a big deal.

Turned an application in on Monday August 28th 2023 was call for an interview today at 1:00 came up here at 12:45 sharp waited to interviewed by mr.dominic waited for an hour only to be told that he filled the spot this morning. I believe that this is very very unprofessional should have been contacted or at least talked to. I'm very angry right now and caught the bus up here.....

With there tonight have brought my mask and headgear as they requested made me use their gloves which are not hyper orogenic for sensitive hands hands got really irritated gloves are too small and I'm a cashier got really smart with me I kept dropping the money cuz I couldn't close my fingers with these tiny gloves and my hands are starting to swell up because the gloves was making my skin irritated so she got smart with me I just wouldn't recommend going there, and it's supposed to be the store that has the clean daily it didn't smell clean it all I had to take my mask off for a second because it was running up over my eyes and the store smells of sour milk or something

Not the same Farm Fresh it used to be, when I'm in the area I'll stop in maybe the salad bar or the fried chicken, prices are higher than some other locations I can shop, nice customer service. Update 8-26-23 very nice salad and soup bar, good hot meals togo!

Rent a cop at the door harassed me over a knife. A working man caries a knife. I have spent lots of time and money at this store, but I will not be back. This is America fear does not dictate our patronage, but respect does. If you treated good people with respect you would not have the type of customers that require a guard to be begin with.

Manager extremely rude. Had bad food. Brought it back. Two receipts from previous purchases for the same items. Proof i buy i buy it regularly..crab salad. Always good. I buy 2 or 3 containers a week. but could not find the receipt for this. He refused to help. And was so rude to me. I told him the 4 people who ate it got diarrhea. He could not have cared less. Said there was no one higher Than him. They have a wall of shame with photos of customers...please put his up there asap. They put stuff back from the register that people don't buy. Who knows if this sat out a while and went bad. Shame on you

Don’t expect the same farm fresh that you’ve been used to in past years. There is a funky smell that smacks you in the face as soon as you walk in. The selection is interesting— they have several aisles full of oriental products, which is great if that’s what you’re looking for. The selection of everyday items isn’t that good though, and the prices for them are insanely high. In fact, I would only come here for speciality foods and not staples like bread, milk, eggs, etc. because they are ridiculously overpriced. I found some items I liked in the bakery section, and I was happy to see that they still have the salad bar. The lady who helped me at the checkout was super friendly. Not a bad store overall, but after the changes in ownership it wouldn’t be my first choice.

Walked in with my bookbag to take my daughter to restroom and they called me out saying i couldnt have my bag yet multiple people had bigger bags than i did and no one said a word to them because i was the only white guy there

Went to the farm fresh on victory blvd to purchase chicken and other condiments from the deli area. My wife was approached by the bagger I guess since he did not have on a security uniform he promoted himself and informed my wife that he had spoken with her once before about coming into the store with her firearm which was not the case and went as far to state even if you have a permit it is not allowed since she did not recall ever talking with him prior. And I had informed him that if the Store had properly displayed the sign on there door no firearms allowed on the entrance then she would have known to secure her firearm or not go one the store instead she was escorted out of the store and treated rude. So from this point on we will not shop there anymore and hopefully they will not have an incident there were a legally caring person could assist and save lives an intervene if some nut does show up. So if you open carry take heed before you enter they also decided that they do not allow backpacks as well which the old farm fresh never had any restrictions like that before.Take care readers and stay safe out there since we have been labeled the most robbed area in Virginia.

I rode from Norfolk to Portsmouth's Farm Fresh to pick up chicken for an event on 1/22/23, the employees were very helpful and even offered to help carry food to my vehicle, They started my day on good note, Thank You had a great day. 😊

Went to get some wings from Farm Fresh on 9/20/19 on Victory Blvd. in Portsmouth for some wings. The lady was all smiles in assisting us.Guess that smile and friendliness was really a, "I gotcha look."Talking with my husband, we did not pay attention to her as she was picking up the chicken and putting into the bag, because if we had watched her, we would have definitely request some real wings. I can not believe that Farm Fresh actually sell wings this small. It's a rip off. I will not ever get my wings from them. And the lady smile looked more like an smirk as she was handing us the bag. The small bag was an hint. Was looking for the contact information to make a complaint because those wings are ridiculous. Want to give no stars, but one is the lowest you can go

I ordered 96 pieces of chicken a week ago to be picked up on May 19, 2021 at 1:00pm. This was for an event after a funeral. Didn’t mind waiting in line to pick up an order but after I paid for the order, they said it wasn’t ready. I couldn’t believe it. The person behind the counter was understanding and seemed to have an attitude. Terrible customer service!

I would strongly recommend Farm Fresh to clean the parking lot and the inside of the regularly. And it get rid of the beggars outside in front of the store, because it makes people feel unsafe. The prices are a bit higher than before. The only reason I may visit them again will be to purchase chicken other than that I'm done with Farm fresh.

I wish there was an icon for zero stars because this Farm Fresh definitely deserves it. This has to be one of the worst grocery stores ever. First, it stinks! Then, the produce is limited & not fresh, labels & prices are missing. Also, the seafood dept. is awful. The guy who took my order, rolled his eyes when I asked him to change a crab leg cluster that was green. Not only was the wait long, but the staff never tells you when your order is ready & you have to figure it out. This store needs to have a wrecking ball go through it. I will NEVER return.

Asian food- largest selection around!Farm Fresh happened to be nearby so we dropped in. They have the largest frozen and packaged asian food selection I have found in the area. This would be the only reason I would return. Quality and price are otherwise not competitive with Kroger for our needs.

Wonderful customer service! Very organized! Very clean! My only complaint is this is not the place you want to go to get makeup, diapers or vitamins it is over priced! The vegetables, fruits and organic meats are very good and are well priced on the other hand. So it really depends on what you are going for.

I went to get fried chicken ( of course) I asked the girl for 3 dark meat dinners. She refused to give me the chicken j wanted. So another of her co-workers came over and put my order together. Maybe she wanted those pieces for her self.

I bought a whole chicken that never got tender. I think it was a tough hen. I baked it for. 3 hours.n.it was still tough. The store is not like the old store. I won't buy no more whole chicken from thete. You don't know what you will get.
