This is one of the worst Dollar General stores I have been to in the area. The store, both inside and out, was dirty. The inside was cluttered, disorganized, and filthy. There was a very foul smell in part of the store as well. I do not recommend this place, even for a quick stop.

I am a trucker and I must say..The manager Christopher went above and beyond!It's rare these days for people to offer help but even more rare to offer help to truck drivers 😂I am new to the loading n unloading side of trucking. And was truly struggling to pull heavy shelves in the Rolltainers. Omg he came out and helped me pull every single Rolltainer! I would have been out there all day literally if it wasn't for him. Truly thank you. And I can tell all the employees are very courteous. Christopher is a very special man. The store is blessed to have him.

Well hello hello hello I actually went into this location it's a little cluttered but I couldn't find what I was looking for and the associate that was on duty that night her hair is green she assisted me with no problem she was very willing to help... There was another associate on duty that night as well she was an African-American female she was very polite and did not mind sharing a smile or even saying hello it made it very inviting and I would definitely recommend this location... There is plenty of parking outside and it's very clean there is not trash and clutter it's adjacent to all the major highways and you pretty much can find what you're looking for in this location

The Dollar General is a Great store to stop in & pick up any household or personal items that are needed. The prices are very reasonable & the selection is good. You can get in & out.. And not worry about large crowds of people.. This is my Go-To- Store

Prices are very reasonable at Dollar General. Coupon on the apps and usage of regular coupons are great for purchases. Their almost weekly buy $25 and $5 off coupon is a wonderful perk. They have everything you will need for shopping. They remind me of a mini Walmart. My only issue with their stores is they are always a MESS with boxes,and pallets in the aisles, and there is never a representative available; except for person at the register. Recommend when buying food to check expiration date on ALL your items, because I have been finding dates well past expiration.

Lisa and Kiara, the 2 ladies working closing tonight were the absolute most helpful, kind and professional employees that I have a run across in a long time.What a delight it was to shop here!The 2 nice gentlemen in the parking lot offer to assist me with my bags (one of the employee's husband & son). This dollar store rates higher than 5 stars.They give you the kind of attention you'd expect to find on 5th Avenue in New York.I have been to a lot iof stores in my 59 years and this experience stands out as one of the most pleasurable.

Employees are not polite, items are easy to find, but terrible customer service. Nothing is that bad to be rude to a customer. Some employees need to be evaluated and maybe termanated. I wouldnt send anyone to that Dollar General. Other ones have better customer friendly service. I will never go back their and neither should anyone for that matter. Find a better one than this one forreal.

This Dollar General store had exactly what I was looking for and was easy to find amongst the many products in stock. The ladies working there are very knowledgeable and customer oriented with genuine warm smiles.

Came one time at 940. They locked the doors. Close at 10. Lazy employees. Went to grab some beer. Beer cooler empty. Notified them a week ago. Sad thing is the beer was on the ground infront of the cooler it goes in. NO ONE restocked. Have to constantly track people to cashier. Then its just attitude. This place just needs new people. New management. I dread going in there.........just a quick update......just left the store and once again beer sitting in front of cooler...cooler is still empty. Cashier was great but other employs show lack of caring and just plain laziness. If i could give negative stars i would.

Every Dollar General I have visited, is overwhelmingly unorganized and packed. Items not that visible or organized for shopping. They need to update their stores, so we can enjoy shopping there.

Robin needs to work on her communication skills!!! No reason to have such an attitude. As much as I shop at dollar general, she has by far been the worst experience! Just rude for no reason. Disgusting.

Very affordable. Great products. However, a corporation that sells products that include their corporation name,(dolgencorp) should allow customers to return purchases/items without having to have the receipt. Things happen-Life happens, customers that may need to return items,should not be forced to in turn buy only from that store. I can understand certain items,but that doesn't sit well with a customer like myself. And,it really deters me from wanting to return,or better yet give any more money to this corporation. But, why am I wasting my time? These companies don't care.

I get my oil from here because it's cheap and my car has an oil leak. The oil is .05 cents more than all other Dollar Generals. Thats ok though because its close to work and convienant.

Is very convenient from where I live in the country they have a great selection on cold foods canned foods anything you need. You can get all those anything you need for your home Dollar General.

Ugly employee just watches folk, very weird dark skin chick.Manager named Robin was observed and was rude and disrespectful to the customers. Her whole disposition while working register is grinch-like. On top of that she's not attractive in any way, which makes her look even worse.

Friendly staff.Stock left on carts throughout the store. Aisles are not wide enough to accommodate shoppers plus stuff laying around in the aisl3s.Not user friendly

This store on portsmouth Blvd is junkie also,but very nice cashier the items should be out of the aisles and placed on the selves,Who and where is the Managers or the District managers these store need to be cleaned up

People are allowing their kids too steal in this store while in their presence...parents...smh! Store is very messy and has an unpleasant environment. Just grab and go in this store.

Kind of a messy place. Need to organize the isles. Example: tous are on 2 different isles. But they dont meet up togrther. And the toys are kind of mixed together.
