Poor management dirty store expired food will never shop here again if the manager doesn’t care why should anyone else? No respect things coming up missing money missing and employees are blamed for everything that goes wrong.

Staff is awesome! EVERYTHING else is just as pathetic and mismanaged as it could possibly be. Leaky roof, no variety of food, never any perishable stock. They ought to be ashamed.

I am always surprised on what I find in here. From a quick snack to random supples they seem to have it all when I need it. The staff is always friendly and helpful and always working hard to make sure everything is organized. Stop in and give them a try and say hi to Mrs Wanda. She will make you smile.

A great addition to the Old Town Style of downtown Portsmouth. The shelves were a little crowded but it seem to be well organized. You could actually see all the items that were on display.

Fine for picking up the basics. Staff is courteous. Aisles often hard to navigate because of large trolleys of stock waiting to be shelved. Otherwise, store is neat and well-stocked.

It's a good Dollar General but nothing special if you've been to one dollar general you've kinda been to them all, it's good for what it is but its nothing really special. I wish I could rate it higher but as a store it just doesn't really do it for me. If you're looking for something common you have I'd say a 50/50 chance of finding it, but anything uncommon your better off going somewhere else. Its a good place to stop & grab a snack & drink that's the best I can say about it.

My local Dollar General is better than yours! Love the management and staff! I'm a frequent visitor and they have saved me from making a trip to the grocery store more than I can count. Spend a little time and find some awesome treasures.

This place is amazing! Since new management took over during the summer, the employees are friendly and helpful and there's much more of a selection. It's a really pleasant place to shop.

The workers are great, but you can't get down the alise, to much stock in the way. Also they start selling one thing you like, and you go back its gone or not selling it or ordering it any more. They need to hire someone to stock there shelves at night after closing so costumers can walk down the alise.

This is one of the worst Dollar General locations I have ever visited. The store is not well lit, aisle are filthy, inventory lacks attention, and the employees seem as though they have someplace else they rather be. The only reason this location attained a second star is simply because of the location. I will definitely avoid this location at all cost.

The service has lot to be desired. The store was extremely cluttered. And the heat inside the store was unbearable. Coupons downloaded to card wasn't given and the clerk and manager didn't know how to fix the problem or how the coupon system from Dollar General store up works.

I love this Dollar General! The staff are always friendly and greet you as soon as you walk thru the door - they're always happy to help when you can't find something. I go to this store at least 2-3 times a week!

Dollar General is good for getting what you need or want. They sell cheap beer, wine, food, DVDs, clothes and even mobile phones. The employees are helpful and friendly.

Never have any issues finding what I need. Most of the time the employees are nice and friendly but not today cashier with braids is rude with zero customer service skills.

I live here. Almost literally. If i need a snack i come here. There clam chowder is my favorite and they have dried strawberries in a bag which i love getting.

The associates are always helpful and the manager is one of the best. I generally go in the morning around the 8 to 9am time. The store I always goes to is located in downtown Portsmouth on High Street.

Friendly people. Seems like the store is always in disarray. This store is conveniently located on High Street in Olde Towne. Parking on the street is problematic, but there's always parking around the corner in the Middle Street Garage.
