My doctor sent in a prescription I knew that was sent it for me. Said they never received it so they lie so they don’t have to fill my medications it’s my pain medicine and this place should genuinely be shut down none of the cvs do anything on time and correctly they deserve to be shut down. Finding a different pharmacy that does everything all around more efficiently and better overall if I had the choice for 0 stars I would.

I must start by saying im appauled. A phamacist in error stated that " they changed my dosage".When i questioned this, i was told that i need to take to verify my dose because we dont do refunds. I went home and verfied that the dose. I called back and spoke with the pharmacist ( joyce Newson) and she said i told you that is what we filled for you. I stated that was not correct and she told me to come pick it up. When i arrived at the pharmacy ( Joyce Neson stated "i have to call a verify your dose with your doctor and i will not be giving you your med tonight". we were in the drive through , so she hung up the phone, and started to close the gate. As Joyce Newson closed the gate " she stated" you are bannedNigger". Police responded and I was told they won't be filling my med. CVS has not called or even offered to discuss.At this point, i will not do business here. I suggest you close up if you don't like to serve the African American community.

This has to be the worse cvs in the United States not just Virginia. They act like counting meds in a medicine counter is so hard.You call and it's says your medicine is ready,you get up there and still have to wait hours. Ridiculous!!!

Been on hold for over 30 mins. They texted my son that a prescription wasn't in stock .no phone call, no option to check anything CVS. Glad it wasn't some he REALLY needed (sarcasm) first time dealing with them and they are horrible. Bc it's in Portsmouth they don't care.

This is Mrs.Marion V. Burns Cynlithia helps my husband daughter and I all the time and she is a hard worker and she deserves a raise and promotion she is so kind and friendly and greet the customers with a smile on her face as well as her team and she gets along with her team as along with her customers.

It's taken almost a month to get a pretty basic prescription. You have to wait in your car for upwards of 20 min because they don't have the inside pharmacy open. Just close, honestly.

It's definitely a hit or miss with this pharmacy. You can't get through if you call the pharmacy. If you order your prescription online, it takes about at least a full week for it to be filled. Today is Sunday. I placed my order online last Monday. There was a holiday on Tuesday. However, the website states that I placed my order this Friday and that my order is in progress. I expected to have my Rx filled by Thursday. My experience is worse if I order a refill by phone via the automated system. It never gets filled even though I wait till the end of the call to hang up. So, the best option if you want a timely refill is to go to the actual pharmacy in person, which most people who are really busy don't have an easy time doing.

Wish I can give this place a 0 Star. People their shorten prescriptions and rely on an image. 1 time not realizing till a month but a sec time and I caught it. As soon as I can I will be changing pharmacies. Never had this issue till Frederick blvd in Portsmouth CVS! HOPEFULLY CORPORATE WILL DO SOMETHING.

How is this location still open? Not only do we have to CONTINUOUSLY call and double check because what's in the app is not what they supposedly have, but they CONSTANTLY push out refills until the last day, despite insurance filling 5 days prior to an end date. There is ZERO reason to force someone to go to the last day of their prescription when their insurance is not the cause, etc. The techs / pharmacists are also incredibly judgmental and rude. Yesterday we called and were told three different dates to pick up a script we'd had there for YEARS and today is the last day of meds... They tried telling us insurance wouldn't fill for another 3 days so I could pay out of pocket for 3 days, then it was that the doctor had to call to verify dose, then it was "it will be ready after 12," and then when we showed up at 3, it was, "There's 12 people ahead of you, so it won't be ready for another hour." Also there today, I watched them OVERTLY roll their eyes when a customer told them what they were trying to pick and they were giving them a similar run around for meds promised, but not ready. Isn't that ethically wrong? How about just terrible customer service? Every time we call, it's more than 15 minutes on hold to talk to anyone to figure out why the app says one thing, but they say another and our prescriptions aren't ready. I am transferring our prescriptions because this nonsense is month after month and it's just completely unnecessary. Mistakes happen, but the lack of professionalism and general courtesy is inexcusable, especially when people are just trying to get necessary medications.

Busier than they should humanly be expected to stay. But staff remains professional and courteous. But don't need to get the pharmacy on the phone because they're isn't enough time in the day to make that work for you. IT would be understandable if you could do all or even 1/2 of what you needed to do from the website but you can't.

The pharmacy never has anything done on time the App say it’s ready and then you go in and it’s not. They are very unreliable and I’d rather drive an hour to a CVS. I know that will have it on time then five minutes to the CVS because they will never have it. Sometimes I have to wait up to two weeks for them to have it ready.

Trash. Dont go. Parking lot is dirty, long wait time for your RX even if you have auto-refill, drive thru is never open and their hours of operation is a joke.Website says one thing but a paper sign on the door says another.Get your perscriptions at the Pharmacy in Kroger across the street.

This is the worst pharmacy I’ve ever experienced. They tell you something will be ready at a certain day and time and then when you show up at that time, it’s not ready. Every time I come, I have to wait in line for over an hour just to be told I can’t get my prescriptions. I’m switching to a different pharmacy. Do not come here!

I try not to give negative reviews. But not a big fan of the location that is necessary for me to use per my insurance. The staff are awful and rude. No greeting when you walk in. No assistance and why the hell we have to do self checkout at CVS is beyond me. It is not Walmart or crowded in a sense they can't check out my two items I may buy there if I'm not just using the pharmacy. The loss of personal touch with employees and customer service is ridiculous in my opinion.

I have been calling back to back from 3pm to 5pm and going through the automated options just to talk to someone… Anyone! I waited and waited only to have them pick up the then hang up. I couldn’t go up there because I been dealing with my grooming clients or else I would have.So every time they hang up, I call right back. And I know an actual person would answer and hang up because the duration of time I been waiting is inconsistent.I finally called the actual store and told them what’s going on and all they did was transfer me to the pharmacy only for the same thing to happen again. I wish my Walgreens was covered by my insurance. I never had a problem with Walgreens and they were even able to mail my prescriptions.The folks at CVS only tell me to do it on the app and when I try, there isn’t an option to.Anyway, I’ll go tomorrow as soon as they open to try and deal with this issue and maybe just see if I can transfer my medication to a different location that actually wants to help people instead of like ignoring them.

This review is for Lindsey Gibson, the “pill counter of 4/2/23 at 1pm, this occurred. I was trying to get my much needed meds before work because I was out, she said they would be ready tomorrow. I said I’ll just come up there and just wait until you get a chance to fill it. Lindsey Gibson replied “i am the one counting pills and I will make sure that does NOT happen.” I am going to do everything in my power to get this lady removed from her position. Wow. Just wow.

Terrible service in the drive thru. 3 cars in front of me, and it took 30 minutes to get to the window. I give them the info they need, and say it’s not ready yet so I have to go to the back of the line since it will take 5minutes for one prescription. Like what? Lady I just waited 30min for 3 cars. My prescription was sent 4 hrs prior and was told it was ready. Which is why I got in line. I will never go here again, she gave me attitude for no reason, because I asked so I have to wait another 20-30min for a 5min wait? I just sat behind someone and they sat there for 10minutes.Apparently, if you place your prescription at the window it’s different. Completely dumb logic.To add on to this I have a printed promised and completed label for 3 hrs prior to pickup. So these guys just make it look like they work, but wait and inconvenience the customer.

This is by far the worse CVS I've ever been to. I put in three meds to be refilled on the app on Thursday, here it is Saturday and they still aren't ready. Called yesterday to refill a different med they tell me they can't fill until tomorrow. I call today and they lady says it won't be ready until tomorrow. I ask for it to be ready today and she says No there are other people in front of you to be filled..... I've never had such a hard time refilling meds, not only that but the ladies time was so nasty. I'm definitely complaining to corporate and everyone else should too. I wish I looked at the reviews before I transferred my meds to this location.

No other pharmacies make you wait an hour. My Rx was called in 30 minutes prior to me driving up. The snarky woman over the speaker would not budge, telling me they’d call when mine were ready even though I told her I needed the inhaler. She clearly didn’t care. So 2-1/2 later, having trouble breathing without an inhaler (prescribed), I called them and the voice message said my prescriptions were ready…they did not call and are now closed for lunch. So my wait was 3-hours. Last time I will EVER use CVS for prescriptions or buy anything from a CVS! Someone needs to look into this..

THEY DON'T ANSWER THEIR PATIENT PHONE LINE!!!! I had to call in as a doctor to get a response. Out of my meds for one week and was supposed to have been ordered but never did. Out of state and out of my mind without my meds! It's no wonder they only have a 2.1 on Google! If I could give zero stars I would!

Honestly, this is probably the most unprofessional pharmacy I have ever used. You can never get through on the phone and you will be hung up on multiple times. The last time I called I was finally able to get through when the person asked me to call back because they were busy. I explained that I had been hung up on multiple times and she proceeded to tell me “yea I don’t believe that but I’ll take your call this time.” Every person I come in contact with at this pharmacy has an extremely unprofessional attitude. As a nurse myself, I could never imagine speaking to patients the way these people are comfortable speaking to customers.

Called right at 9:00 AM when pharmacy opens because I'm going up state and need this one medication, here it is 9:02 and the lady picked up the phone said cvs hold and put me on hold, they just opened. How could you have more than 1 call right away? The employees here are extremely rude, yesterday when I called about that Med I got yelled at, " MS. WHALEN CAN I PUT YOU ON HOLD" because she didn't like what o was saying about how they need to update their computer system because it's telling people that it's being filled when in all actuality it's still waiting to be approved for by my insurance. WORST PHARMACY I HAVE EVER GONE TO IN MY LIFE!!!!

This the most unprofessional pharmacy, I have ever visited. The pharmacy technicians were working without a mask and the other had her on under her nose. Then had an attitude with another customer because she wanted to purchase her items in the back. I was talking with the other customer and I replied you don't have a basket. So, them the tech with the mask under her nose with an attitude came with an attitude to ring her up. Meanwhile the line is growing and they aren't even acknowledging those in line my goodness. Did I mention she did not sanitize her hands after doing so!!!!!. I would not not recommend this pharmacy to anyone!!!!!not even to fill dog scrips!!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡🤬

The pharmacy staff is frequently extremely short and rude over the phone. They'll talk circles on the same point again and again instead of acknowledging what you're trying to talk about. I deal with maintenance medication and they make it a trial I have to fight tooth and nail on literally every time, irregardless of the fact the doctor calls them ahead of time to let them know the situation. It's absolutely ridiculous, and they really need a complete rework of the staff and the expectations of how their customer service should be handled. I know y'all are slammed but I work in the medical field and I'm just as slammed every day. This kind of conduct is completely unacceptable.

I was having problems using my Insurance Benefits card - Alexus W.(CSR) was so patient, polite & went above & beyond in processing the sales. Plus Natyhia (CSR) was called in to restart the transactions showing the same skills & wisdom. Such Exceptional Services had to be told!!!!!!!!

Ridiculously long line. I waited 10 or more minutes in line. I get to the check out to pick up my meds only for the pharmacist to tell me that my prescription had not been filled. Had to wait another 10 minutes which is unacceptable being that the prescription was called in last week

I wish I could give them a -0. This is the worst CVS ever I don't know if it because of the area or they just don't care about their customers. I called for a complete hour and noone answered the phone. I went with my uncle to the eye doctor at 10 am an at 5pm the prescription still wasn't filled. Keaosha (which by the way was very helpful and pleasant) directed me to the drop off because she couldn't find it, I stood there for 15 mins without being acknowledged, it was announced that I was going there. When I asked could someone acknowledged me atleast to say I will be with you all I got was excuses from Stephanie the pharmacist about the safe open and how short she was ,but she could say she heard Keaosha say I have one at dropoff. I thought the customer was who keeps the store open, if we stop coming then what? The technician that came finally was Jamie the Lead Technician, I thought the Lead was the best if that's the best OMG what is the worst in this store. It's the CVS on the corner of Turnpike Road and Frederick Blvd...so noone is confused. I came back thirty mins later to a extremely long line. Now Stephanie has time to talk to a customer/ friend for 10-15 mins about a non medical things, cause everyone could hear the conversation. Then when I get to the head of the line she wants to apologize and say they were really busy, I commented you weren't to busy for that man...I also found out they lied to Keaosha about me being upset with her, I was upset they ignored me while they had a personal conversation.

I've been using this CVS for several years and have watched its steady decline. Over the past year it has gotten to the point where it's commonplace to wait 45 minutes in line for a simple prescription pickup through the drive thru. There are typically only 1-3 cars in the drive thru for those waits. I'm switching to Kroger after today's nearly 1 hour wait. Stay far, far, away from this pharmacy unless you have time to burn.
