This is the most unreliable pharmacy. How do they close for a day and not have a way to transfer prescription to another pharmacy to pick up. They could have at least had that. I got a prescription sent there for my sons pinkeye and they were closed. I asked the doctor to transfer it to the cvs in Chesapeake sq however someone needed to approve the transfer at this location for them to fill it at Chesapeake sq.

My doctor called in three prescriptions in the morning. I called the pharmacy to see if they were ready at 6pm. They said they were not but they vould get them ready if I wanted to pick them up before they closed at 7pm. I arrived 35 minutes later to find out they had not filled them and they wanted to know if I wanted to pick them up in the morning. No, I want to wait. Wait like I normally do every time. One star.I wait and wait and they never get any better

I just switched to this pharmacy so I cannot rate the pharmacy as a whole. However, Tai (I hope I didn’t spell your name wrong) was amazing. I was previously going to Rite Aid and they were constantly rude, never had my prescription in stock, and never answered the phone. Tai worked all day calling over and over to get my prescription transferred and refilled for me on time!! Thank you!!!

I’d give zero stars if possible! My son has had the same prescriptions on automatic refill for nearly 3 years and this pharmacy never has them in stock or filled when we are sent a text message that it is time to pick them up or we request a refill, are given a time and day to pick it up, only to get there to be notified they are not in stock! They have not been utilizing the CONVENIENT drive through for month and with four small children (one with spina bifida) it is INCONVENIENT to take them in to generally over 20 minute long lines (with 5 or more people working back there)! This place has really fallen apart!

While standing in a line 20 people deep to get a prescription. A cashier checking people outwas with a woman and all the sudden yelled out and I mean loud for all to hear...."if it was up to me none of ya'll would get any medicine. The rudest employees I have ever seen. I immediately got out of line ,left and transferred my prescriptions. Seems like headquarters doesn't care. THEY WILL WHEN EVERYONE PULLS THEIRS TOO. Pharmacy is their money maker.

Very poor customer service.I have mobility issues had to pick up a prescription yesterday, and the drive thru is closed because they are short staffed. This has been an ongoing problem for several months now. Unacceptable for pharmacy.

I came in at 6:58 and they close at 7. As he gave me what I needed two more customers came up behind me. This guy looked like he’d had a long day, but he persevered through politely. I like this place.

They closed the drive thru at the pharmacy and the wait inside was for one hour. How is a person with limited mobility expected to stand in line that long? The hours say 8pm, but they actually close at 6 pm. I feel like this company is intentionally neglecting an underserved, marginalized community. Really sucks.

How can yall hire such a group people that just come to work for a check!! No customer service, nothing!!! Fire all of them !! Get a whole new staff!! All of them at the pharmacy is nothing but trash!!!

If I could give this pharmacy 0 stars, I would. Every time I get a text saying my prescription is ready for pick up, I get to the location to find out it has not even begun to be refilled. When I call to confirm my prescription has actually been filled, nobody from the pharmacy will answer the phone. I've waited up to 40 minutes to no avail! Customer service is terrible. Pharmacy employees are sub par.

When I call to speak to the pharmacist I have to sit on hold for almost an hour and when they do pick up they try and rush you off of the phone and are no help. My doctor has tried calling on to provide authorization and has had to wait on hold for half an hour. It’s ridiculous when you call and speak to the people in the front of the store all they can say is oh well they are busy and short staffed. People who count on their medications to be filled in a timely manner don’t care how short staffed you are. Some of their lives depend on those meds. I will be moving me and my family’s prescription to a different pharmacy.

The entire Pharmacy staff here needs to be fired and restaffed. Every time I come to this CVS there’s either a long line, unprofessional staff, or both. And The Pharmacy Manager Tie Patterson refused to fill my son’s medication Today. Changed pharmacies. Johnathan Allen is the District Manager and Regional Manager is Stephen Rudder. Needs new management

Writing this review so Corporate can help them get fully staffed. They are SEVERELY understaffed and it's showing in the customer service and lack of quality in help. Not sure why they haven't hired more staff but they need help!! The drive thru is closed down and there's always a horrible wait. Again corporate/management needs to do better! It's a shame

If I could give zero stars, I would!! It is impossible to get through to this pharmacy on the phone. Wait times over half hour. When you go into the pharmacy nothing is ever ready. Went to pick up an antibiotic and was told it would be another 2 hours before it was ready. Antibiotic sent in on the day before and still next day afternoon NOT READY!! Sitting on hold for over another half hour just to get a person on the phone. Their response "we are shorthanded". It if weren't for insurance purposes I would find somewhere else to go. Never had this problem at my prior pharmacy that I had to leave because insurance would not pay.

Rude, overwhelmed employees!! No respect for the customer. Waited on hold by phone for 20 minutes to be told that prescription wasn’t ready… again, but will fill it now and come over it will be ready. Drove 5 min. Waited in line for 20. It wasn’t ready, come back in an hour. Only reason I was able to leave with my prescription is that I asked the person I spoke to on the phone as to why this was so,and they got an attitude with me…like I was the one at fault. Can’t wait to move out of this area.. Hampton Roads sucks!!!

Pharmacy is definitely lacking. I've been waiting on a new prescription for 10 days now. Still not ready.Even asked physicians office to call in the prescription again. Website status of prescriptions RARELY agree. Not having this prescription is life threatening. Taking my business elsewhere.

My wife has been waiting for her prescription for over a week. Every day she stops in and is told it will be filled by 5. Today she stopped in again but this time was called a racial slur to her face twice by the disgruntled pharm tech. Numerous witnesses were in line at the time. Another tech jumped up and suddenly “found” the prescription. No pharm manager was available to address the situation, no store manager was available. The store phone also went unanswered to try and reach someone of authority. CVS will never get another dollar of mine or any other that I can help. Corporate will be getting a written complaint.

Constant issues with this location. Incorrect dosage recommendations, delay after delay on medication pick ups, and nothing ever gets done when creating corporate complaints or trying to speak to a manager in store to complain. I understand trying to cut labor costs by reducing head count, but you can only go so low before it affects customer satisfaction. (As you can see by the 1.8 star rating). I cannot stand going back to this location 2-3 times to pick up prescriptions that we were notified were ready already. I will go to one of the other 10 pharmacies within 5 minutes of this place to fill prescriptions.

I wish I could leave CVS but my insurance is through caremark. This is the worst pharmacy I've ever had to use. They don't answer the phone, when they do they give you attitude like you're ruining their entire day. Loooooong waits at the drive thru and inside. I had an awful experience with them yesterday. They dispensed me 12 vials of my B12 shots and 10 needles/syringes. Tf am I supposed to do about the other 2? I tried to get the other 2 and they treated me like I was a drug addict looking for clean needles. In the state of VA you are supposed to be able to just buy those syringes. However I HAD A SCRIPT!!!! Smh. Get it together.

Whenever you go to pick up meds that have been called in either from myself or the doctor, they are never ready and there is a long wait time. Sometimes they even tell me that there are no refills left and and I have to go home and get my prescription bottle to prove I still have refills. This is the worst pharmacy.

Very rude staff, and they get an attitude when you ask for help. They're quick to cut you off when you're talking. It doesn't matter that they're busy, they should still be professional. However, their level of rudeness is ridiculous and they should all be fired if they don't want to work in CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will be changing my family's pharmacy immediately. Do better CVS. Like many other reviews, I'd give ZERO stars if I could.

This pharmacy is the absolute worst!!! After today, I will NEVER do business with them again and I’m taking my prescriptions elsewhere!! They NEVER answer the phone! I’m talking on hold for the entire day!!!! It’s ridiculous!! I’ve sat in pain for days due to my meds being promised at a certain time, only to be told they don’t have it or it’s going to be a while longer!!! I don’t care how understaffed you are, you still can answer your phone and assist your customers!! This pharmacy should just shut down!

Worst experience ever and it doesn’t get better. I have tired time and time again to give them chances but no more. They are apparently under staffed however they never hire ( in pharmacy). Workers work as if there is no urgency ( in pharmacy) and my medication is never ready even after waiting days always have to wait for 30 mins-1 hour. Will have no choice but to change pharmacies

This pharmacy does not deserve A SINGLE STAR, because even one star emits light! This pharmacy is a black HOLE—and all prescriptions, as well as YOUR PRECIOUS TIME, will be lost in an eternal vortex of darkness !!!Words can not begin to describe the level of frustration and disdain I have for the type of “service” this pharmacy provides to their loyal customers. Each and every attempt to either contact the pharmacy or actually PICK up a Rx over the past several months have only added fuel to an ever growing fire of contempt, frustration, anger and absolute disgust for CVS’ complete disregard for their customers’ health needs.Prescriptions are medically necessary to either address an acute need OR to MAINTAIN A BALANCE that, IF neglected to take as PRESCRIBED BY A PHYSICIAN, COULD VERY WELL POTENTIALLY BE LIFE THREATENING TO THE PATIENT!!!!!How this particular pharmacy has remained open WITHOUT A LAWSUIT of some sort literally escapes me!!!This review is FINALLY being written and overflows from an accumulation of one absolute negative encounter after another. One might question why we remain with CVS. Being bound to this pharmacy for insurance purposes is the only reason we remain with CVS. However, after this afternoon’s visit, we will withdraw our Rx’s and transfer them to another CVS location….And pray to God that their service is not as deplorable!!I requested a refill online over a week ago, and I STILL haven’t received any status update, so my husband and I decided to literally CARVE OUT time to drive to the pharmacy to “pick it up” (knowing FULL WELL that what REALLY WOULD HAPPEN was we’d be told, after waiting in line for half hour or more, that “it was not ready, but they’d have it ready in an hour”)….. (their mode of operation). However, no one could have prepared me for today’s events. We pulled in to the drive through and felt “lucky” there were only two cars ahead. After waiting in line for about ten minutes with no movement, I got out of the truck to walk around and go in to the pharmacy while my husband stayed in the drive through. Surely ONE OF US WOULD HAVE A CHANCE to get this Rx. Surely!!!As I was walking around from the drive through towards the front of the store, I realize that the drive through window was literally barred! Closed!!!! Wait!! What??? Why the first car was just SITTING THERE, giving the rest of the cars in line false hope that they too may be afforded the miracle of actually picking up a Rx was absolutely beyond me!!As I continued walking towards the front of the store, I sent my husband a text to tell him “GET OUT OF THE DRIVE THROUGH line, it’s closed,” I couldn’t BELIEVE I was having to resort to this level of desperation. Questioning: “What if I couldn’t walk? What if it were 30 degrees outside?? How many more customers have to needlessly suffer?!?!?”By now, I’ve entered the store, trying to hold onto a sliver of hope that I might be fortunate enough to have my prescription ready!! But….alas!!! Once I reached the pharmacy, the line was so long! Like NEVER BEFORE!!! The wait time JUST to GET TO THE FRONT, TO START THE CRUEL CYCLE OF “I’m here to pick up a Rx” and then be cattle prodded over to the “it’s not ready, come back in an hour” line—— I had barely enough composure to contain myself and exit the store with some shred of dignity. There is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE——None whatsoever—— for THIS level of incompetence and SHEER NEGLECT for customers’ health and well being!!!!Effective immediately, we will be transferring our prescriptions, and probably to a much further location. Even so, I believe the drive time would be FAR LESS than the amount of time that we have collectively spent either on eternal HOLD, physically waiting in lines, COUNTING PILLS, (because they do not know HOW TO) and making repeated trips just for ONE RX!!! The additional drive time will be a tiny price to pay to REMOVE THIS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS “pharmacy” from our lives.Be warned. Stay away from this black hole.

Horrible wait times : do not have your prescriptions called in here if you need it the same day also don't bother calling the pharmacy unless you have 45+ min to wait on hold

I have decided to change locations as the service at High Street is deplorable. Yesterday was my 3rd experience there and I've had it! I saw my doctor fax my prescription over around 11:39ish. I was traveling from Williamsburg to Portsmouth and was delayed before the tunnel, so I didn't arrive until 12:45PM and was told the pharmacy was behind and they closed 1:30 to 2PM. I was told to return at 2:30 PM! The prescription was ready THEN, but this and 2 previous negative experiences have convinced me to transfer. I don't care how far as long as the service is better and more professional. I overheard the clerk telling a customer they couldn't get overtime anymore to do the things they needed to do. Is this service a work slowdown as a protest? Wouldn't it be better to have half the staff at lunch from 1P to 1:30, then the other half 1:30P to 2P? Each time I've been, the line is far too long and the waittime unacceptable! Get it together or close down! The 1.8 rating is generous!!

I’m so tired of this place! They never answer the phone! Then you have everyone in pharmacy acting like it’s a problem you are there. Only reason my kids meds go through here cause Rite doesn’t take their insurance. Most days I have to call 3 or 4 times waiting for 25 mins at a time and most of the time I don’t get someone.

This is one of the worst CVS's I have ever been in. They didn't give me a pneumonia shot, or the Shingles shot. They said I didn't have an appointment and the needed to order the vaccine (?) And maybe I needed to go to another location. Now, I have been with CVS about 10 yes in GA before coming to Virginia. This is the first time I have ever been treated like this!!!!!
