Yesterday I had to make one of the toughest decisions of my life. I want to thank the clinic and staff for making it a little easier for me to have to walk in with my best friend and walk out alone. They kept an eye on my younger kids so the rest of the family could be with him. They apologized and made the transition for him as easy as I guess it could be. They allowed me time to come to terms with the decision and gave me peace of mind that they would take good care of him after. I am so sad and devastated at the loss of my sweet Rocket but I am grateful for such caring individuals who helped ease his pain.

We have been taking our animals since last year. We moved & they are right down the street from us. Great people! Kind, caring folks. Haley didn't mind that our cat changed her black shirt to white with all the hair! After our last appointment, a lady's car decided to act up as she was trying to leave. The staff came out concerned and asked what was going on. Explained what was happening as myself and a gentleman were trying to get the car going again. Luckily the car was able to move. The staff came out and treated us with water bottles to make sure we were hydrated. Awesome job!

I’ve used CAC for multiple pets over multiple years & trust them for careful & kind treatment of my pups. Quick & professional visits, careful exams w/great advice. They clearly love what they do. I talked with Serbet & she says Dr Koger & the staff are very nice & provide excellent pets, pats & guidance for her continuing care. She looks forward to seeing everyone again soon.

The team at Churchland Animal Clinic is the best! We will not take our dogs anywhere else. They treat our dogs like they are part of their own family and give excellent care.

I've been bringing my fur babies here for over 10 yrs. They've changed over the years and especially since covid, this place just isn't the same. They want you to wait in your car while they take your pet, no matter how much this distresses them. My dog was litteraly freaking out due to his severe separation anxiety/fear of abandonment. He's a rescue and I'm his 4th, possibly 5th, owner. He legit thought I was abandoning him. This is partially my fault, his meds ran out several weeks ago. We needed a wellness check just to get his next refill and because we were moving, litteraly could not stop what we were doing. I missed so many appointments just trying my best to get him in there, it was incredibly embarrassing. The point is, the tech DID NOT CARE about his emotional state. She was more than willing to yank on his neck with the leash to yank him into the building. I jumped out of my vehicle to go help. I explained again about his anxiety and asked to hold off on the vaccines because of his anxiety. I would have preferred to take him home, medicate him for few a weeks (it takes a few weeks to build up in his system), then when he's more like himself bring him back to do a full exam and the vaccines.Instead, they took him to the back, mussled him, and did whatever they wanted. They brought him back and informed me that they had mussled him, vaccinated him, and could only do a partial exam because he was so freaked out.I'm so upset for my poor boy. He was not treated with consideration to his emotional state and my wishes as his owner were not respected. If he'd had is meds, he wouldn't have been so upset. If they had examined him in the room, they may very well not needed the mussle at all. If it was needed, if he was acting aggressive I would've stopped the whole thing and rescheduled the app. It upset me deeply to put him through that, knowing his history, and knowing how much he's been struggling without his meds. After all this, I had assumed they would take care of refilling his meds for me. No. They completely dropped the ball. They apparently closed right after I left, was unable to reach anyone at all.I'll be telling this to someone there myself. On a side note, they also seem very money hungry. This wasn't the case 10+ years ago, and was one of the reasons i loved this place. They're still nice I guess, just a lot more focused on getting as much money out of you as possible.

Churchland animal has been incredible with helping us get long term care for our diabetic cat. They helped us through the process of diagnosis and have been treating him now for months and explaining the process every step of the way. The nurses are so friendly and helpful and their prices are very fair. I can’t recommend them enough!

I do not think I can stress enough how great this clinic is but I will try.Our dog was in pain and he was getting old. It came to the point where we believed that it was time.Going through the process of having to put our dog down was a hard decision. He was apart of our family and he was my partner. The whole clinic was there for us. They provided comfort for our family during the challenging process. They also gave us outstanding support! When we get another dog down the road, we will be coming here!Thank you so much to every person there for everything you did for us!K9 above all! K9 leads the way! Guardians of the Night!

Lola came in for her routine Cytopoint injection by a vet technician. I like that we now have the choice of whether to come inside or stay in the car. I chose to go in because I have such a nervous dog, and I thought it would be easier for her if I did. She was taken back quickly, and we were in and out of the clinic promptly. The tech was friendly and tried to put my dog at ease. Churchland Animal Clinic has been our vet clinic for many years, and we would not go anywhere else.

Great place. Nice facility and staff are top notch. I recently had an emergency situation with my cat and I couldn't be more pleased with this clinic. I also wanted to share with everyone that the cat is doing 100% better. She's napping...

Allison and Sophia were extremely helpful and kind to me as they took extra time and care with my senior dog and assisted in creating a treatment plan for her. Dr Yates was very helpful and took the time to explain medication management for my senior dog with a focus on her comfort care needs. I am really appreciative of Churchland Animal Clinic. Thank you!

It was time for us to help Dempsey cross the Rainbow Bridge. It was very emotional because his mind was sound, but his body had completely failed him. They were so considerate of us and gentle with our sweet boy. I still miss him so much, but they made a paw print as a keepsake which helps.

We have always been treated with kindness by all staff. Dr. Wassell has a genuine love for animals. It can be seen at every visit, regardless of circumstance. I know my cats are getting the best care possible. Wouldn’t bring my pets anywhere else. Thank you for the wonderful care, every visit!!!

Honestly, this is the best Vet I have ever been too. My dog was sick, to the point where I thought we were going to have to put her down. I live in Surry, VA and called every local vet I could find and no one could get me in. I went to an Emergency vet and was told the wait was over 6 hours. Churchland Animal Clinic got me in, same-day, and finally got my dog on a medication regiment that has given her her life back. I cannot recommend this vet enough. They truly CARE.

Aweeee how I missed personal one and one visits with my baby. The staff was kind and warm. The Dr actually sat in a chair with his legs crossed and took the time to speak with me about my baby with eye contact while smiling. I didn't feel rushed. The Dr was very attentive, patient and a listener. Thank you CAC for reassuring my visit. Much appreciated!!

Could have explained the process for the visit a little better. For example, myself and another customer had no idea we needed to leave our pets for the procedure. Also, there was an added $30 “hospital” fee that I was not aware of. When paying $600, it would be nice to know ALL additional fees. I could have simply dropped him off at 4 instead of 2:30. But I’m still not clear if there was a reason to drop him earlier as part of the prep process because nothing was explained, even after I asked why.

Churchland Animal Clinic was a great experience! I discovered a hematoma on our dogs ear. Our dog is seen regularly by another vet, however, he was unavailable for about 2 weeks, due to unexpected staffing shortages there. I made a few calls and was able to get her into see Dr. Wassell on the same day that I called. I appreciate how nice and personal everyone was and that treatment could be provided so quickly!

The staff here have always been amazing, very friendly, caring and professional. Never a problem getting an appointment either. I had to have my cat euthanized yesterday and they showed the greatest level of compassion, they even gave us an impression of her paws with her name on a plaque, what a great memento!!! I never would've thought of that. Thanks for all you do, it makes a difference!

We switched to this clinic after getting numerous recommendations and love it! Everyone is great. The Drs don't rush your visit and they listen to your concerns. The techs and office staff are all friendly and helpful. We wish we had switched sooner!

I didn’t have the pleasure of Churchland Animal Clinic long because I took my dog to another vet her whole life, however I had to take her somewhere else and I’m glad I listened to everyone when they recommended this place and should have listened a long time ago. They only got to see her once before I had to put her down, but hands down this place was amazing! The doctor made me feel at ease and he explained everything to me and was very comforting. That was one of the hardest things I had to do for my love! I recommend Churchland Animal Clinic!

Was able to get me in when I just moved here and had a cute little sign on the door telling us to welcome to the family. Helped my doggo's anxiety a lot.
