We stopped by Horne’s earlier and across the street we came across the Port Royal General Store. Always liking to look at antiques, we decided to stop in and we were glad we did. A ton of antiques and in our opinion, reasonably priced. They were having a President’s Day sale that included 20% off (or more). The staff are very friendly and nice. Also have dogs there that are super sweet and like to follow you around. 😊. We are certainly glad we stopped by. If you like antiques or just looking at old, vintage items, I highly recommend you stopping by!

We got wind of the General Store by word of mouth, and we couldn't have been happier about making the drive. The store was well organized, a terrific selection of antiques and collectibles, a wonderful staff, and most importantly, four unbelievably friendly dogs that roam around and take the experience to another level of comfort. We will absolutely be going back. If you're in the area, make sure to stop by and check this place out and toss some treats to the pups.

My husband and I passed by this place many time but decided to stop by and browse. What a pleasant surprise awaited us! Row upon row of treasures! Everything is neatly organized and there is something for everyone. We will make it a regular stop now. Don't pass by this remarkable shop. Also, the most adorable door greeter ever!

The Port Royal General Store is a hidden gem. It’s like visiting the American History Museum, only you can touch all the displays with no restrictions and everything is for sale. Perfectly organized and presented to meet every visitors interests and Sharolyn is super friendly. We have been to The Port Royal General Store many times previously and will continue to visit in the future

Of course I am an owner of the business, I would absolutely give a 5. Funny when I read the reviews I wonder how people come to certain feelings or conclusions about things. Some say we have great prices, or we have high prices... that those are just opinions and everyone have one. I just want to say we get far more compliments on how our prices are reasonable than other places. I just want to invite you to come visit the shop, take a trip down memory lane, learn how to use a old fashion phone, and have history at your fingertips!

Very large antique mall. There’s something for everyone. Super friendly staff, lots of parking, public restrooms, free coffee. I always find something here to buy. Worth the trip!

I have been to many Antique stores and can tell that this one is way overpriced! Not just one or two items, everything I checked was with a price to the roof.For instance, vinyl records for $5-$6 each. I bought the same with a great condition from other antique shop for $1-$2 each.Update 2/4/21 There is no way to reply to the owner's comment, so I am doing it here.Yes, this is the correct place I am talking about.We have discussed the price for a HD black half motorcycle helmet all in funny stickers. It was size XL, way bigger for me, the only reason I liked it was because of the funny stickers. Unfortunately the price for any reason was as a new helmet, even though this one was old, but not too old to have antique price.I actually have a picture on it.

Nice place! Has just about everything from past years. Can't even see it all in one visit. Little pricey for me. Guess everything is in these times, but even my splurge budget wouldn't allow me a purchase. I don't collect antiques, but love good Ole affordable vintage!

Wonderful! We stopped in at 5:26 and asked if they closed soon. The very nice woman at the desk said they did but to take our time and look around. We found several fun things to buy and got to meet the sweet dog that is so well behaved, we didn't know he was there. 100% across the board.

This is a great antique store. My wife and I make it a point to stop whenever we are in the area. I always find something, I tend to look for tools. The owner and staff are great and will negotiate if they can. I've gotten great deals there. They have a clean public restroom as well. I highly recommend stopping in.

Very hospitable! Kids found items that were free. Husband enjoyed the hot coffee. They had a nice clean restroom. Prices were good too. It was the best place we visited in that area by far.

I drove by for years on trips between Hampton Roads and Washington DC, each time telling myself that I’d stop in someday. I’ve finally made time for visits twice in the past year and found a couple neat items priced lower than I’ve seen them anywhere else. The staff has been very friendly and helpful on each of my visits too. If you are interested in vintage items like me, you’ll enjoy this place.

Port Royal General is the place to go for one of the best selections of little gems and antiques I have seen. It's pretty well organized for an antique store but they have some many great items I suggest you take two laps. They also have cute doggies to greet you at the door. I highly recommend this spot! We will be revisiting soon

We stop here whenever we travel Route 17 toward Washington, DC. The last time we stopped on Friday, March 22nd, Sharolyn and Lynne both assisted me and were so personable. My husband and I both enjoy perusing their varied items and always leave feeling it was an enjoyable visit. It's just a nice atmosphere and we will continue to make it part of our route!

I can't wear a mask.They demanded I wear one, which is illegal, I left. I will NEVER go there again. I have since also heard and read things that have confirmed to me there are much better places to go. I went to Port Royal Trading Post (very close).They were great!

If you are out for adventure plan a day trip excursion antiquing ! Highway 301 north toward Maryland is loaded with yesteryear shops. On this journey are many wonderful antique shops such as Port Royal General Store Antiques.They have a special sweet little furry friend to greet you at the front door and a shop full of treasures to tempt your memories of days gone by. This shop is clean, well organized and has fair pricing. Staff are courteous and helpful to assist with your special request.

Fantastic antique shop. The selection variety is enormous. We left with a working kirby vacuum from the 1950s with all accessories. They had a variety of vintage cameras, china, and even a section full of waterford crystal. We will definitely be back for more.

Upon arriving in Port Royal we decided to stop in and see what they had to offer. It was like stepping back into your grandparents house. Recognized many items that brought back great memories. Nice place to visit and many unique items for sale.
