What an awesome Vet! Took my 3yo Frenchie to Poquoson Vet. Hospital and it was a great experience. Very fun and inviting waiting room! Everyone was super nice. The actual rooms are super comfy and not so just, blank. Dr. P was amazing! We were there for a second opinion and she came in to see our pup, she was so nice explaining everything she saw from prior X-rays and other emergency vet visits. She took her time making sure I understood everything and made sure all my questions were answered. We will definitely be coming back here!

Hmmm very interesting and friendly place. Kind of expensive but the friendliness of the staff is out of this world. My dogs are traumatized of veterinary hospitals and it can be a challenge sometimes getting my baby ham hams to relax. Almost all procedures are done here making it convenient for us dog parents. So in closing, if this establishment offered some sort of discount or are able to lower their prices, then a 5 star review will be awarded.

Excellent experience! Would highly recommend! From the front desk staff back to Dr. Ashworth, I can't say enough good things! I am a new puppy owner and had lots of questions. I learned so much from every person I encountered and look forward to our return visit in 3 weeks.

I was very blessed to get in promptly (9:45) with Grace (the gray one). The care was compassionate, patient and professional. She was called "spicy" as she was very vocal. Dr Nelson did however diagnose the problem. Under the circumstances however it was suggested to bring Punkin in as well, so I was able to bring her in at 4 the same day! All is well here and this was a very pleasant experience. The last vet we went to Grace had a bad experience and is now deemed incorrigible by that vet. However the staff at Poquoson Veterinary Hospital is wonderful!! Both my girls now have the best vets around!! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

Shelby and Dr. Porhammer were wonderful. They were kind, caring, knowledgeable and patient. I was impressed with how they treated me and my pet. It was a great experience definitely recommended. Don’t forget that with any vet you have to pay but at least it’s worth paying for.

We have been going to Poquoson Vet for over 8 years for our cat Cinder. We love Dr Williams who spends time listening and educating us on the many quirks our furry kid has! Everyone there is always so kind and caring from check in to check out!

I’d rather drive an extra 10 minutes to another vet even though this one is within 5 minutes to me. My cat was sick and the tech was treating my cat as if they had rabies and was going to bite her. My cat is not reactive and didn’t even have the energy to move so I didn’t understand that reaction from the tech. Front desk staff was friendly to everyone else walking in but gave eye rolls to me, AND it was SO expensive there compared to other vets give been to. Drive a little farther for better care that doesn’t take advantage of your $$$

Haven’t been going here long but my experience with both my older doggy and my new puppy has been fantastic. They are attentive, fast, informative and they seem to actually care or have a sense of compassion. Getting to know my dogs, our lifestyle at home and who we are as a whole instead of just a quick exam.

I have found that with medical practices be it human or animal you get one of two things great doc and bad staff or great staff and bad doc. Well doc P is pretty good but the staff are awful. They laugh when you ask why the price estimate has increased for something. Put you on hold to get help to find out why the estimate has drastically increased to come back and say it's a suggested prescription.Doc P you are great but your staff treats people terribly. I'm still waiting to hear from someone about the receptionist telling me my dog was not allowed to interact with the other animals because she was a pitbull.

These folks are amazing! From the front desk staff, to the techs and the veterinarians, they take really good care of their clients, and their pets entrusted in their care. I've been taking my dogs here for 8 years now, and whole-heartedly recommend them!

Lucy only went in for a nail trim but let me tell you, they do a great job. My dog has to be tranquilized. They work with her, put her and I in a quiet room and just have the most patience with her. She's a big strong girl and even tranquilized, she has to be muzzled. She is a drama queen. The whole office is so understanding and really do a great job working with drama queens. We are so happy to have found them! 😊 They really understand when a dog has a fear and how to help.

Absolutely love this place and am so glad we found it! The staff is so friendly and helpful and the clinic is super clean and not smelly. I do wish that nail trims were complementary or discounted with an exam, but I am extremely happy with the results of my dogs’ nail trims and most of the prices here are very reasonable. Will definitely make this our “home” clinic and trust my fur babies in the care of PVH!

If I could give more stars I would. Everyone there is amazing. I have a "wild child"and she's not the easiest to work with. But they figured it all out and my princess was able to get looked at. Thank you all so much for taking such good care of my little one. You now have me forever.

I have a 70lb doggie that is absolutely high anxiety about visits. We give him meds prior to the visit, and it helps, but the true gift is Dr P and the absolutely caring staff. I have never seen my boy allow such a thorough visit, and it is a testament to their patience and caring. The compassionate care is absolutely off the charts, and it is giving Judge a longer and more comfortable life. For that I am forever grateful.

They allowed my son’s guinea pig to be seen on the same day we scheduled for an exam. Brownie was treated with care. I appreciate their caring to make sure Brownie was comfortable. Also, a text follow-up to check on Brownie was nice and heartfelt.

Amazing staff!! Wonderful Energy in this place!! I have a green cheek conure that was having some issues that were tuff to detect with what was going on. Dr. P and her assistant were great with handling and keeping he/she calm. As well as giving me wonderful educational knowledge of what can be avoided to prevent sickness and Giving me more advice to become the best bird parents we can with diet, toys, etc. Amazing experience with these guys and 10/10 recommend to everyone with exotic babies.

The staff and vets are great and very knowledgeable but over the last 7 years, they, like many other businesses, are trying hard to increase profit at my expense. I always, in the past, had 2 dogs, but now there is no way I could afford 2 and can only afford 1. I'm saddened by the thought that at some point I may not be able to afford giving 1 dog great care.

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with Poquoson Vet! This week, we saw Dr. Nelson! Quite impressed. My nervous Nellie Yorkie did great! They loved on her and got her comfortable before her exam! They even successfully trimmed her toenails! Can’t say enough good about these folks!

Always a positive visit with them. Sometimes pricey but it’s for the best quality!! I would definitely recommend.Edit: Thank you for everything y'all did for me and Yogi, I really truly appreciate you all. Genuinely the best vet i’ve ever went to. I somehow just opened the card you all sent & I instantly broke down, you are all so so sweet & I know yogi thought so too <3 Thank you all for caring so much and treating my sweet boy with so much care and love.
