The hours aren’t right, when asked on the local community page employees commented corporate would need to update the hours and they’d been trying for a year. If corporate doesn’t care enough to update the hours on Google then something is wrong.Update: Corporate sent me back to the store and the store corporate. Managed to do a community suggestion and update the time so at least the times are right now.

Only grocery store in poquoson and they know it. Produce is not safe to consume as half the produce section is either rotten or covered in mold. I have not been able to purchase a single case of strawberries in over a year as every single case when I go has mold. As someone with an extremely severe mold allergy this makes the entire produce section unsafe for me to purchase from. How they continue to get away with rotten and molding produce is beyond me. Management is absolute garbage and the store is always understaffed (any staff present typically looks unhappy or burnt out, considering some interactions I've seen between staff and management, I don't blame the poor kids.) and often times messy with meat randomly scattered throughout the store ( in packaging obviously) stock carts sitting out in aisles and not put away when the stuff on the cart is not on the shelf and not accessable either because of cling wrap or layers of boxes. Store needs new management if this is how they run it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Severely disappointed as I'd rather not have to drive 10-20 minutes just to grab an onion.

Literally walked out today after waiting in line trying to check out. It's gotten insane trying to get in and out. Oddly always have people stocking in the middle of the day and standing around when lines are long. Farm fresh has better selection of beer and decent parking. Guess I'll do more shopping elsewhere.

Used to be a great shopping experience. Lately it has gone downhill. My husband and I spend $200 a week there. We just left from there and the cashier never said a word to us, never made eye contact and had a frown on her face the whole time. Customer service at its finest. She bagged the groceries horribly. Half of the bags have split open because of the bag way she bagged everything. Too bad everyone there can’t be like Eddie. He’s the best employee they have and the only reason why I still shop there but after today I’m done.

I have been shopping at the Wythe Creek Food Lion for over a decade and I was very impressed with how they stepped up and remodeled when Covid hit, the accommodations they made to keep people safe during the High Point of Covid, and how smoothly they run their food lion to go program. I use it frequently, to the point that they know me by name now, and I must say Eddie is my favorite Food Lion to go shopper. They are a very courteous, friendly, and accommodating team. Today I put in an order to be picked up between 2 and 3 PM but had to leave town unexpectedly for the afternoon and didn’t arrive until 9:30 PM. The Food Lion to go Txt says you have until 8 PM to pick up your order. When I showed up to customer service at 9:30 PM they were more than accommodating and got me my order right away which saved me a great deal of time When I thought that I was going to have to re-shop for my entire list. I highly recommend this Food Lion in particular and the Food Lion to go program here.

This was the Best Food Lion in the Hampton Roads area. Hands down! I shopped a lot at a lot of stores, and this one was one of the cleanest, stocked store that I've seen in a very long time. The staff was friendly and professional, I live in Williamsburg and I will Definitely be returning. 👍

I am 87 years old and at the Food Lion in Poquoson I just saw the worst and most dried-out sweet corn I have ever seen in a super market.

Prices are much better than Farm Fresh, although gradually creeping up. Fried chicken is better than Farm Fresh. They have improved by getting a better deli department and salad bar. My only complaint is the meat department. I've had to return pork chops, steak and hamburger that were spoiled with a fresh date. I don't buy these items here anymore. Edit 6/6/2023 this place is going downhill fast! The deli department was nonexistent today and rude. There was one register open, another without the light on checking people out and referred me to the self checkout....which I hate! So many rude employees anymore, it's a shame, I'll still shop Food Lion, just not Poquoson!

Always clean and service is almost always good. Drive up order is convenient and quick. Prices are generally a little higher for the convenience of shopping at a local in town store. Would give 5 stars but sometimes checkout lines are long.

This store is much improved over what it was a couple of years ago. Better fruits and vegetables section as well as nicer dairy display cabinetry. Only thing I would like to see is a more robust import/craft canned beer selection. Great selection of bottles, but sometimes glass is not a good option.

Awful!! This was the absolutely worst experience i have ever had and I have been going there for over 20 years. The cashier was rude. She bagged meats with rubbing alcohol. She dropped my container of grspe tomatoes on the floor picked them up and asked if I wanted them. The bags were away from here and she was throwing items in the bags. There is more but even though I live in the town I will not be using that one. It has improved but what do you expect with another grocery store opening across the street.....

Great employees. Very helpful. Clean store and parking lot. Only 4 stars because unfortunately since Farm Fresh closed, FL has been unable to keep the store as stocked as it used to. I hope the warehouse gets better getting them the inventory they need.

Very nice place and people. This Food Lion in Poquoson is very well stocked. We live closer to the one on Hampton Highway, but their shelves are always empty, so we go to Poquoson instead. Their produce always looks outstanding!

I use the app and order groceries for my mom. They are always ready to pick up on time or before. The service in the parking lot is quick and friendly. The substitutions if any, always seem to be thoughtful and adequate. Thanks for a job well done!

I have been coming here for years and I have never, not even once been disappointed. Management is very polite and helpful. Items are priced well. My 2 year old loves coming here and that has to tell u something. 5 stars from me for sure! Keep up the good work !

The Deli is weak. The product is fine but the employees in that department aren't very good. No urgency to wait on customers. They'll routinely spend several minutes finishing some other busy task before they even acknowledge someone standing at the deli counter. If you're the only person in line, 6-8 minutes to get 2 pounds of cold cuts. This happened about a half dozen times in the past month.

Every time I go in, the maturity level of the cashiers shows. I've been made fun of twice right infront of my face, and they acted like I couldn't hear them. I've been there other times and have heard them mocking other customers. What's more pathetic is, if you say something, or call the manager over, you become the one causing the problem all of a sudden. Pathetic in the customer service portion of the job, especially with the hs/college aged cashiers.

Poor customer service because I was waiting at customer service desk for 10 minutes watching the management carry a conversation with employees about their weekend like I wasn't even a customer. They walked over casually and asked if I needed something. No apology or anything.

Because this is the only grocery store in Poquoson they are always super busy. The staff does a fine job of helping and having many checkout lanes open, but there is only so much that can be done. Don't expect to quickly run in and out unless your there at very odd times.

I was worried that going the Friday before Super Bowl, that Food Lion might be running low on some things like Red Kidney beans for my Chili or "mini" pepperoni for a pizza dip. However, Food Lion was very well stocked and many checkers were working to prevent long lines. Thank you to all the Food Lion employees ❤

In and out quick tonight pricey except for sale items. Better than they used to be. Didn't shop there for several years due to the really rude staff and poor service but now that Farm Fresh closed there isn't anything else in town.

Food Lion in Poquoson has greatly expanded its offerings since farm fresh closed a few years ago. They have hot fried chicken, in store sushi, expanded fresh cut fruit. I would like more fresh fish options and in some areas they still have fewer offerings in some jarred and canned areas. They are not fresh market, whole foods, trader joes, Their prices are good and weekly meals shopping is nice. The other places make an occasional little outing.
