Real McCoy Cabins, Country Store and Kitchen

This was our second stay at The Real McCoy Cabins and it was just as great as the first time. Ginger and Don go out of their way to make sure everything is just to your liking. Before we left for our first day on the trails, we had a delicious and hardy breakfast at the store. Then, when we arrived back, Ginger brought in the amazing chicken and dumplings in a crockpot. Wow! So good for dinner and enough to have the next night. On our second morning we went a little bit lighter for breakfast, but still delicious, and had a bacon and egg sandwich. Not only was the food great, but the cabins are SO nice. Slept very well each night and in the morning had a cup of coffee from the keurig. TV was great and so was WIFI. Access to the H&M Pocahontas trail was just over a 2 mile ride into Bramwell, WV, which was super convenient. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabins were very well kept and clean. We liked the location, which is remote and not a tourist trap. The staff was friendly and helpful. Access to Hatfield and McCoy trails is an easy ride on your ATV/UTV.We would most definitely recommend staying here!

I could talk on and on and on how great this place is everything was spotless the owners are fantastic. Their granddaughter even walked my dog tank probably the best walk he has had in years. We are going to be rebooking for next year.Rooms: The rooms are spotless, comfortable beds.Food & drinks: The food is homemade, and they deliver it right to your cabin.

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Real McCoy Cabins! The location was perfect for riding both Spearhead and Hatfield McCoy trails. The property was quiet and peaceful yet convenient to the adorable town of Pocahontas. Our cabin was very clean and comfortable. We ordered all of our meals from the store and the food was SO GOOD! Prices were very reasonable and portions were huge. I highly recommend staying here!

I can’t say enough good things about our accommodations at the Real McCoy Cabins this week. They made phenomenal home cooked meals. They opened the restaurant early and closed late to accommodate our time on the trails. They even offered crockpot meals set up in your room so when you got in from the trails, dinner would be sitting there waiting on you in your cabin.The cabins are quaint and cozy and outfitted with enough accessories to be comfortable. I even had good wifi!Two generations of family running it and and the third is being groomed to take over one day. Their customer service is second to none.Their granddaughter (Skyler) and I enjoyed games of freeze tag in the gift shop while waiting on my meals to be home cooked to order.It’s incredibly rare to experience this type of place anymore. It warms my heart.They made a great weekend of ATV riding on the Hatfield & McCoy trails even better!

We stayed at a cabin for a couple nights. Great parking for trailers and amazing little property. They went above and beyond and made sure we were taken care of. They will leave a croc pot dinner in your cabin while you’re out so dinner is ready when you get back. I mean come on! This place is a gem and can’t wait to get back.

We love staying here! Many trail systems to ride from one location. It's a peaceful quiet place. The food is good and you can not beat coming back to your cabin after riding all day to a home cooked crockpot meal waiting for you. The cabins are quite nice too. Love it!

We couldn't have asked for more. The cabins were well appointed, clean and comfortable...especially the bed! Location is convenient to town, and the owners, Ginger and Don (and family) are great people who made us feel welcome and like family. Everything you need is right there in the store and restaurant, and Ginger cooks the most delicious meals and desserts! Hint: try the Cuban sandwich!We will absolutely stay here again, and have already begun to recommend the place to our friends and family.If you want an awesome experience, Real McCoy Cabins has you covered.

We stopped by for lunch as the place was recommended by several local ATV riders. Great place looked almost new. Very clean! Great conversation with the owner and he provided lots information about the town and area. The food was great and very reasonable. We ordered the stuffed bake potato's and they were great! BTW these potato's were huge. The cook provided us a sample of her pork and rice special and it was also great. A Cuban recipe I think. Will definitely stop by there again.

The hospitality at Real McCoy Cabins is second to none! It feels like staying with mom and pop. The staff are warm, welcoming, kind, and go above and beyond to create a one of a kind experience. The food is delicious, and having a home cooked crock pot meal ready in your cabin after a long day riding is just amazing! I can't imagine staying anywhere else (trust me, we have and it wasn't anywhere near like this) when we come to Hatfield McCoy to ride. If I could give 10 stars I would! Thank you Ginger, Don, and staff for the outstanding experience, can't wait to see y'all again!

We stayed in one of the cabins for the weekend for a friend's bachelor weekend. Brought our atvs. Plenty of parking for the trailer and atv. Cabins were nice and cozy and the staff are friendly and super nice. Great place to go and great food too at their kitchen. Close proximity to the hattfield mccoy trails and a separate system called the spearhead trails. Will definitely be coming back. Thanks for having us and looking forward to the expansion you all have planned!

What a great place to stay! It was peaceful and very relaxing after being on the trails all day. Gift shop was nice and food was delicious! Conveniently located to Bramwell, WV to jump on the Pocahontas trail system of Hatfield and McCoy. We parked our truck the day we got there and didn’t drive until it was time to go home. We will definitely be back!

Stayed here a week. Fantastic cabin. Ginger and ger husband are so wonderful! Town has a ton of history if you like that.Cant say enough how nice the cabins were. So clean!Bed was soft enough that we didn't die gettting up in thw mornings.Ginger cooks a mean breakfast, we didnt try anything else.If you plan on cooking in cabin, there are only cups. Bring some utensils and dishes.

Real McCoy cabins are the real deal. It’s the best place to stay on the Hatfield McCoy trails system. Don and Ginger are the best host you could possibly want. They go out of there way to please you. And I got say you will not find better cooking than there. I recommend the chicken and dumplings. And Don and Ginger I can’t thank you guys enough we had a great time and we see you in the fall. This is a place you must stay at! We used the Real McCoy cabin during a couple day trip to ride the local trails, and were completely blown away by the whole experience. First, the quality of the cabins are second to none. I've stayed at multiple cabins around this region and these are really unmatched. The quality of the craftsmanship is so impressive and they have such a homey feel to them. They are each just a little unique, and were incredibly comfortable to stay in. But the number 1 thing that will keep me coming back was the hospitality from the owners and staff. We were treated like part of the family and not just guests. They welcomed us with open arms and went out of their way to accomidate all of ours needs. Thank you Don, Ginger, Chris and the rest of the staff for an incredibly awesome experience.

They always greet you with a smile and as we found out, there is no need to bring your own food because it can't compete with the magic that happens in Ginger's kitchen when you order something! Such a great place. Plenty of room for your trailers and SxS parking. Very tidy, great store and Ginger was always accommodating if we needed access to the store. Our friends bragged endlessly about the crockpot meals (we sampled) and completely agree...DELISH!!! Highly recommend if you looking for a place to stay!! We had an class A plenty of room and full hook ups. WiFi is free sometimes spotty but that's just be iij ng in the mountains. Cabins were cute and clean with cable also! Great job Ginger and Don!!! Thank you!!

We stayed over Fathers Day weekend and I couldn’t have dreamed of a better place to stay. Super clean very comfortable and quiet . They have everything you need in one little country store/ kitchen great food and probably the most welcoming host ever!! I will always stay here unless of course they are all booked up .

The kitchen Restaurant and the Country store separates this camping facilities from the others. They are very convenient while staying there. The whole experience was very accommodating, location, staff, cabins, parking. All of it! . It is glorified camping at its best 😀
