On April 7 2024 an employee by the name of Phyllis came up to us at customer service and said "Are you stupid can you not read the sign says closed" when I simply wanted to ask the manager when customer service would be open. I called today spoke to the manager and they offered me a $25 gift card for that employees actions that is the only reason why it's getting three stars and not one star but I seriously doubt I will be going to that Food Lion anymore I will go out of my way to go to a different Food Lion

Don’t go here. It was good then the vegetables got bad. The meat looks stale. There’s bread on the shelves with the expiration dates It just got ghetto. This is what happens when you try to integrate ghetto with farmers doesn’t work out. Please send them back to the ghetto.

I go here for groceries consistently and never have any issues. The employees are usually nice, but I typically use the self-checkout (there are 4 self-checkout stations in total, and all are up and running every time I go). The shelves are organized so it's easy to grab what you need and I've never had much trouble squeezing my cart through the aisles unless it's crowded. Sometimes I have to sit down on the floor due to a medical condition and I've never been given any issues by the workers over this. There's a good amount of options here and the bakery and deli food are consistent.

Been here a few times in the past when things were hectic but this store is surprising me lately. It's super clean, well stocked and organized. The associates are real nice and I am thrilled to say thanks 😊 for impressing this shopper.

Its great place to shop but i just brought some organic strawberries and they are rotten and im very dissatisfied and want a refund fruit that is old need to be discarded

I enjoy Food lion, as much as someone can enjoy a grocery store. I can most of the time get in and out pretty quickly. The only problem I have is when the lines are long to checkout, but I understand why because I have worked in similar jobs, even food lion some years ago. I say keep doing what you're doing. Great job!

Excellent Food Lion. Clean facility, the shelves are always stocked and rarely do you find holes were product needs to be. The customer service here is excellent. The staff here are friendly and willing to help.

A lot of the people that work there are super nice! The people who worked in the produce and the deli department are wonderful! There are a few cashiers who behave like they don't want to be there. It's a shame that this store is treated the way it is. Corporate doesn't seem to stock this store like other Food Lion stores are because they know it is a low income area. That's not right!!!

You either love it or you don't...I love my local Food Lion in Petersburg...it's the best place to buy groceries up and down S Crater Rd...😻🤪☺️So FL is still the best grocery store North and South on Crater Rd in Ptsbrg but for the 3rd time they didn't have one of my obsessive desserts for about 6 visits so 'Me' was a lil P''d at FL.. Hear Me Out, if you have a problem then go see Mandy!! She's the one to get it done!!! Love her.. Now I don't have any problems getting my favorites at Food Lion in Petersburg cos, 'scuse me Dave...J/Kno Mandy is the Boss with the Sauce...Lol...I'm Not/K...Whatever her title is she handles the customers' wants n' needs the way she sees fit... the way management should help customers, in turn it makes Food Lion #1 in the public eye... at least it's how 'Eye' sees it... 😜

No one should feel uncomfortable while checking out, I understand observation for theft for self checkout but standing within breath distance of customers while they are checking out to the point your in the way is ridiculous! Just go back to regular checkouts!

I just got a pack of ground beef before close and when i got home and opened it, it reeked of a E.coli! I will be marching myself up there tomorrow! could’ve wiped my whole family out as bad as this pack of meat smells

I needed to purchase a money order there were 2 associates at the register beside customer service they didn't acknowledge me, the manager on duty walked pass me 3 times and didn't acknowledge me, the guy that was working finally came after about 6 minutes, and he wasn't friendly seemed to have had an attitude. He didn't even apologize for the wait.

I really like the store. It has a convenient layout. The shelves are always well stocked. The produce is the best in town. The cashiers are friendly and do their job well. I would have given it 5 stars, but sometimes the price on the shelf is not always what rings up. I shop here 2-3 times a week.

Two stars because often they are out of items. Especially this location. The store is a bit run down. The staff is pleasant, and we love that Food lion gives free items. Very nice ones. This is the only store that I know that does this. They don't even charge tax on the free items! Sensational!

Good experience, had all the meats that I needed. Couldn't find something in the store, a very nice worker, named Jacob, went and found what I needed and was very helpful in me taking care of all of my shopping needs. Wait time in the checkout line was very short, which was very nice and all of the prices were very reasonable. All in all good experience

The store was pretty clean. A huge portion of the locally grown tomatoes was overripe and had flies swarming them. And the mandarins that was on sale had several bags of "decompressed" 🍊. I don't visit this location often but this trip wasn't that impressive.

Always neat and organized. Friendly staff and cashiers. Love To go here when around the area. No issues on food as far as quality, normally good quality items here and nothing is ever expired on the shelf. Only down side is the main door not working. No issues with coupons as well.

I do not normally write a review of s grocery store, but we are new to the area and this is our closest grocery store. The store was clean and well-stocked for the current situation we are in with CoVid and civil unrest. The staff was professional and personable. Even our fellow customers were kind and helpful. Do yourself a favor and shop here. You will be glad you did.
