This letter aims to address two significant issues: the refusal to accept a merchandise return due to receipt issues, and the conduct of the representative I interacted with, which I perceived as racially insensitive.Upon attempting to return a product purchased at your store, I encountered a problem with the receipt. The in-store printer malfunctioned, producing a blank slip instead of a printed receipt. Understanding the importance of proof of purchase, I presented an email confirmation of the transaction, assuming it would suffice for the return process. Despite this, the representative refused to process my return, insisting on a physical receipt, which was impossible due to the technical failure.The situation was further exacerbated by the representative’s demeanor and approach. The interaction felt dismissive and unfairly prejudiced, leading me to believe that racial biases influenced the representative’s decision-making process. Specific comments and non-verbal cues conveyed a sense of unwarranted suspicion and disregard for my genuine issue, which not only impeded a standard transaction but also left me feeling marginalized and disrespected.This experience was not only inconvenient but also deeply unsettling, as it challenges the trust and respect I expect in customer-retailer interactions. The inability to resolve a simple transaction due to a technical glitch, compounded by a perceived discriminatory attitude, is alarming and unacceptable.I request a thorough investigation into this matter, including a review of in-store practices concerning receipt handling and customer interactions, particularly around issues of racial sensitivity. I expect my return to be processed based on the digital proof of purchase I provided and seek an apology for the distress caused by this encounter. Additionally, I recommend that staff at this location receive further training in customer service and racial sensitivity to prevent such incidents in the future.Thank you for taking the time to address this serious matter. I trust that CVS values its customers’ satisfaction and dignity and will take appropriate steps to rectify this situation and ensure it does not recur.

I transferred my mother’s prescriptions from another CVS pharmacy because the staff was always overwhelmed with numerous prescriptions and long wait times. The CVS on Crater Road has an excellent staff that is always professional and efficient!

Staff and pharmacy is good. People need to understand the pharmacy does 100s of prescriptions a day and just because yours isn't ready when you want you're rude for what? I think they are great and put up with unappreciative people day in and day out. Most work 6 days to help get your meds ready so show some appreciation for being there trying.

Called to ask if they had a prescription in stock because it was out of stock at my pharmacy and was told they weren’t allowed to give out that information. When I asked why or what I needed to do to get it transferred, the pharmacy technician hung up on me.Beyond unprofessional, I don’t know why anyone would go to this pharmacy when the Walgreens on Crater Road is SO much better. CVS is a nightmare.

Came to pickup medication my doctor sent to this pharmacy. We picked up meds for two other people at the window when mine were asked for. The woman said it was all in the bag, never mentioned they didn't actually have anything for me..drove off and realized mine were missing. Came back to the store, husband went inside to ask for my medicine. The old short, short haired woman said they didnt have anything for me. He said ok and as he was walking away she nastily said "you have to make sure you actually have medicine here before you come in here". She's always nasty when we've come. So if a doctor tells you it's send to a pharmacy how are you supposed to verify the medicine is there (or not) without coming to the pharmacy?! Careless patient care to not even communicate the medicine wasn't in the system..a neuro med..one that can't be stopped suddenly. People like this shouldn't be working in any allied health but more importantly they need to be careful how they speak people..the coworker sarcastically yelled "thank you!!" At my husband as he walked away after she said that. Talking to people like that these days is a risky choice for the wrong encounter. This place needs to be shut down or held accountable. If you are the cause of a patients injury, illness or harm you should be dealt with as such.

It's has taken the pharmacy over 24 hours to fill a prescription for a single antibiotic. It was called in yesterday, I came in after a couple hours thinking it would surely be filled by then but wasn't. I waited until the following evening and tried again and was told it was still not filled and they needed 20 more minutes. I'm now sitting outside waiting on it more than 24 hours after the prescription was called in. CVS is ridiculous garbage, have your prescriptions called into any other pharmacy, I will from now on.

They will not answer the phone they are rude for no reason. I went to get knee brace and a lady cut me off before I could ask for help to tell me they don’t do money order. They are too quick to say no and dismiss the customers. They don’t want to help. Today I picked up my prescriptions and two orders were not filled. They didn’t tell me so I called and I’m just going to drive back up there to get them. I feel so sad for the elders of this community who can get just up and go. This pharmacy is harsh.Edit: I’ve been to the pharmacy 3 times now for prescription that my doctor filled 3 days ago . They told me each time come back in 40 minutes. Im switching pharmacies I hope you do to.

I have consistently had problems getting my prescriptions filled on time over the last 18 months. Most of the staff is so rude and unprofessional. They never answer the phone. They keep picking it up and putting it back on hold. I Yesterday my doctor sent an electronic script approximately 2-3 hours before my family member went to pick it up. Now I called and was on hold for 30 minutes, and they never answered. As expected, they said they didn’t have it, when I verified twice with the doctor that they sent it. While my family member was standing there on the phone with me, while the pharmacy tech is telling me to verify with the doctor again, they pulled the gate down and went to lunch. Because this prescription was an emergency, my family member went back after their lunch break and suddenly they had the prescription and said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I could go on with other bad experiences. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever seen. Avoid it if you have a choice. I won’t use them again.

I came to the store because I needed a reprint of a receipt. The associate i approached stated that she needed to contact another person to check for it which I believe may have been a manager. I informed the associate ( young black woman) and told her I had the date of the transaction and the card number that was used and the date. She in so many words tell me that she would have to scroll through all of the transactions to get the receipt. There was barely anyone in the store and no one behind the register so I don’t understand why you couldn’t assist a customer just because it would take a little time out of your schedule. I frequent this CVS because my business is very close by and we often have to buy gift cards and paper towels. I will be taking my business to another location or the food lion close by. If your customers aren’t important, why are you even working for this company.

If I could give zero stars I would. The worst pharmacy in the area. Not sure if it's policy or personnel. The call service is also horrible. Every time I go to the pharmacy, the wait is hours sometimes days long even when the doc calls or electronically sends in the rx. Calling the help line is horrible. It goes on and on about covid even when you constantly repeat speak to pharmacy.Forced by my insurance company to use them. 😒

The pharmacy is a joke. They are too busy, laughing joking and horseplaying to take care of the customers whether it is in the drive-through in the store or even on the phone my prescriptions were ready two days ago and I still sat in line for 45 minutes for the gentleman I’m assuming is some type of pharmacy manager with the way he was dressed come to the window and goes huh and give them the name, date of birth etc. and nothing. He’s too busy laughing and carrying on to even type it into the system asked me again for the information and then just hands the bag out of the window. Nothing other than that the bare minimum when I go inside I have to stand up at the counter for a lengthy amount of time because they are too busy playing so if you can find another CVS anywhere, I would use that one because this one it really needs an overhaul corporate or management and needs to come and evaluate and review cameras

I thought the Hopewell location was bad until I had one prescription transferred here. The staff at this location just don't care. You can call multiple times and be on hold for over 20 minutes. I've gone inside one to try and sort things out and the staff were very loudly making fun of a customer in line. I'm no sure how CVS is still in business at this point..

This pharmacy is absolutely horrible. I get that you might be overwhelmed but these people seriously lack customer service skills. Every time I go in and hope I have a different experience, but nope these people throughly hate their jobs and hate you for giving them work to do. The older woman I dealt with today was so unpleasant and so unhelpful. I wish I could have recorded our interaction for a quality assurance review. My dr called in a prescription 6 days ago…and it still was not ready today.

This goes strictly for the Pharmacy department: They never answer the phone. Have THE rudest employees I've ever came in contact with. Meds will show "filled" in the app yet the claim they don't have anything. They've "lost" my meds twice, instead of refilling, they made me wait 45 mins the 1st time and 3.5 hours the 2nd until the found my prescriptions. I've been using them for 3 year's and EVERY month, me and my husband have some kind of issue with them. Only go there because Walgreens doesn't accept our insurance anymore, but today I've had my last straw with them, we're switching to Walmart.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Dr sent medication over at 11:30am. I had to pick up my son so was sick from school. Got him first then went to get the medicine. I arrive at 12:45. Nothing was ready. The girl in the window said to come back in 15 minutes. Come back and I guess they were on lunch break. So I waited in the parking lot. 2:00 I get to the window only to be told “oh we are out of the medication”.

My Dr electronically sent my medicine in around 1pm. I waited until around 5:15p to pickup my medicine which was only a cream. I was told by cashier that they have 24hrs to fill prescription then told to go to drop off section where I waited 10mins and no one walked to counter until I yelled for attention. Then she proceeded to lookup my medicine and say it will be another 20mins before it’s ready like the medicine wasn’t sent to them at 1pm. I had to wait for 30mins for a cream that comes either prefilled already or they had to just push in a tube. Customer service was horrible. This was at the crater rd store. I switched from Walmart thinking they would be better but I will be switching back to Walmart.

This pharmacy is the most unprofessional place and should be shut down. They will not answer the phone and then you wait over and then it hangs up. The manager and the young man were rude and no help. I called the corporate office because they tried to say medication was picked up that was not. They ran the cameras back to find that the medication that I TOLD THEM WAS NOT RECEIVED WAS IN FACT STILL AT THE STORE. HOWEVER BECAUSE OF THE UNPROFESSIONALism and lack of Empathy ,and compassion for people they failed to check. They still did not apologize. I feel sorry for elderly and people that are not able to advocate for themselves dealing with this company. I have switched to a different pharmacy.

There is really poor service on contact that waste my time then hung on me. They not understood what I am deaf communication on Video Phone. Online said ready up it then I come to In Drive but they said not yet oh waste my gas. I have transferred Rite Aid store is better now!

If I could give less than one star I would. The pharmacy does not answer the phone. Called the manager of the store to see if we could get someone in the pharmacy on the phone. Was told they were short staffed and wouldn’t answer the phone and that I should just drive there. Customer service doesn’t exist there. Now I get to waste my gas for a conversation that would take literally a minute.

No one cares in this store. From the cashier to the manager to the pharmacist, each person will make sure you truly know and feel how much they don’t care. I must also mention Mike, who will answer the phone after many many rings to only place you on hold and never return. Horrible service

Avoid this pharmacy at all cost if you can. Long wait times and they will not answer the phone. Have to drive up here just for them to fill it then wait the hour just to get it. And that’s if they even have it in stock. Doctor will send over scripts and they will say they don’t see anything even though it was sent. Then I have to call my doctor and he calls the pharmacy to tell them he sent it. Lots of running around for no reason!! Funny when I go inside to pick up my prescription and wait an hour you can hear a recording saying “6 pharmacy calls” and literally no one picked up the phone once. They literally ignore phone calls. Very unprofessional and ridiculous.

Came to this pharmacy for the 1st time. Use the cvs at dunlop. After over 2 hrs of them refusing to fill my new rx and giving me my already filled rx. I was told to go to petersburg store they had my med in stock that after 2 hrs and a call from my dr office to cvs i was never informed that my med was out of stock until i was told to go to peterabutg. That they would send it over. Well i get to this location and they never received the order however ky jew rx and the one that dunlop cvs refused to give me were ready in 15 minutes. A lil longer drive but ive found my pharmacy now.

I read the other reviews and I believe they are out of date, I moved here from Brooklyn NY about six months ago, I have been a CVS customer for many years. I found the staff here to be very friendly and helpful especially in the pharmacy department, just to be fair with the other reviews, I think thay are a little under staff and need better Staffing with there phone service.

Had an appointment for covid testing appointment was at 12:30pm, I arrived at 12:15pm. Drive thru was extremely busy once I finally reached the window at 1:33pm the young lady asked my name & reservation code and closes the window. The lady comes back & states I would've to wait until 2pm because she is scheduled to go on lunch. I explained to the clerk how long I waited & she still insisted I come back at 2pm. This was very unprofessional, if you know your drive thru is extremely busy for multiple reasons, Clerks should be scheduled accordingly. This is the worst CVS I've ever visit. From the reviews it's time clean house & retrained the associates. After many years working Retail I would never allow for my staff to treat my customer as such.

Called this store location to verify cutoff time (on store website it states their closing time @ 9pm Sat.) to pickup prescription thur drive thru window. Was told over phone by store associate that I have time to get my rx (called the store at 7:50 pm arrived at store @ 8:25 pm) (8:55 time I started this review while their online site states store and pharmacy still open)Only to arrive at store 8:25 pm and the pharmacy they're closed both drive thru and inside also!This is unacceptable if you ask me!

Here lately it takes forever to get them on the phone or get a prescription filled they still hadn't filled all my prescriptions that had refills on them. It's getting to be a pain to try to get anything filled. Shot clinic is a good thing. Been thinking of changing pharmacies.
