I have lived at The Lake for many years and visited Fluvanna Hardware many times, but my most recent visit prompted me to leave a review for this store. Long story short I was having issues with the drain pipes on my kitchen sink leaking water. I purchased a sink trap and pipe kit from the store and was having issues making it work with my setup. Luckily I live really close to the store and after a couple of trips, Jay and Kraig finally helped me assemble my pipes and fix my leak. Jay spent a good 20 or 30 minutes helping me find exactly what I needed, and Kraig helped me put it all together and got it setup perfectly. It’s been 5 days and not a single drop of water has come out of my pipes. If I could leave more than five stars I would. Customer service is above and beyond at this location. If you need parts or help with home projects you have to make Fluvanna Hardware your destination for all things. Thanks again guys! 😁

I can't express how pleased I was with the help I received in the paint department. The stain I was assisted in choosing was exactly what I needed and my refinished entryway table looks brand new. The staff here was humorous, kind, and ever so helpful. Truly a wonderful experience. Home Depot has nothing on you guys.

Great locally-owned hardware store that really caters to the community. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Renny - one of the owners - told us they open even if the power's out because that's when the community needs them the most. For a small store, you can find pretty much anything you need there. Download the Ace app and you can browse and shop online and pick up in store. Conveniently located right near the main gate of Lake Monticello.

For country hardware stores they have pretty much what you need. Just remember they're there going to be a little bit more expensive than your Lowe's or your other big-box stores. All in all they're good.

Drove half an hour to their store to purchase an item listed on the Ace Hardware website as in stock at their location. When I got there, it was not in stock. I asked if there was a way to update their current inventory so it is accurate on the website and the associate said, "no", that has nothing to do with them.

Nicely laid out store, with plenty of things packed into it! Tons of options for mulch and soils, along with nearly everything you could need for home repairs or improvements.Decent prices on lots of different items depending on what you're looking for and if you keep an eye out for good deals.This location has friendly, helpful people!We went early in the morning (between 9 and 10am) was not very busy and nice to look around and get what we needed.

Over the past couple years, I've seen their community involvement and never once any fanfare or self recognition for their deeds. Just a genuine concern for the community they serve. They generally have some version of what I'm looking for and someone to guide me in the right direction when I'm not sure what I need. Always glad to shop with them. I can't tell you how many times my husband or I have walked in and said "So, this is what we want to do... how do we do it?" and have gotten truly helpful advice. When we're debating between products, they aren't quick to say the most expensive product is best and for that reason, I'll keep coming back.

We stopped by even though it was out of our way in order to get a Stihl chainsaw. Even though they didn't have one on display, my husband asked an employee if they had one in the back. He went back to check the stock and found three in the back. He described the extras we could purchase and the benefits. After they settled on which ones my husband wanted, the employee filled it up, tested it, brought it over to my husband, and explained some of the basics. Oh, and Ace even will register the item for you for the warranty, which is nice. Can't say we always remember to do that ourselves, so definitely helpful! Great service, helpful employers, and my husband loves that it was already assembled so he can get started right away!

Locally owned and operated. I get tons of great coupons in the mail from them. They're maybe a 5 minute drive away from my house but even if they weren't as close I would still go here over the big box store at Zion Crossroads. They truly have some of the best staff that go above any beyond to help any way they can. If you need help working through any issues or aren't sure specifically what product to get they'll help you sort everything out.The very first time I went in was about 4 years ago. I had an old guest bed that had two support beams break in a move. I didn't realize it until I was putting it together a hour before unexpected overnight guests would be arriving. I measured the length of what I needed and headed over. It was nearly closing time and I must have looked especially lost because the gentleman that came over asked me if everything was alright and how could he help. I explained everything and he immediately started walking through everything and even offered to cut the wood down to the size I would need. He helped turn what was an extremely frustrating evening into one that was memorable, in a good way. He listened and shared a similar experiences of things just going wrong at every possible turn. I left laughing over shared experiences and with a new outlook on the evening.Every time I've gone in over the last 4 years each trip is just as pleasant. They have a little bit of everything for everyone. I recently got a copy of my key made and found a cute little squeaky plush Mjollnir for my dog. They have a bit of everything from snacks, wild/indoor/barn animal supplies, paint, power tools, plumbing, electrical, gardening, indoor/outdoor decor, and so much more. If they don't have it in stock they are more that happy to order it.I try to shop local as often as I can and this one just takes care of so many quick needs!10/10 recommend

Always been a great local hardware store with knowledgeable staff. They've been able to provide guidance for home maintenance projects and lawn and garden care. Never too pushy on a sale. Ordered online recently and did curbside pickup, which was very handy and very fast - I think it took 4 minutes from when I pulled up to when I left with a load of garden soil and miscellaneous items - and it alleviated a lot of stress out of my day.

Nice local hardware store and helpful staff. Doesn't have everything nor the widest selection but neither does Lowe's. Highly recommend. Update: My go to place for most of my hardware, garden tools, project needs. The sales and reward card benefits are very good. Very helpful and friendly staff, great place.

Love this neighborhood hardware store. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I would buy things that were on sale and if the prices were close to what was at the big box stores, I would go here cause it was near to the house and liked the people there. They even said my golden was welcome in the store but she was still a little excited puppy, not quiet a year and this is a smaller aisle store so I never brought her in. But they get 5 stars just for their awesomeness.

Great local alternative to Lowes. Have purchased in store and used their ship to store options in the past. They are always friendly and the location is super convenient for those last minute and emergency needs. Lately they have been expanding their tools and product line. If Not for Frank I would not go in here. He treats me with respect and always kind. Hekows the store better than anyone. Aside from Star, the rest will never help me. I am Autistic but I don't deserve the way the others are when I go in.I don't talk much but I see and hear very well. Frank is the only person that I can depend on for what we need. Disabled people get used to ignorance, but no one wants to be treated like a plague.. To all disabled folks Frank at Ace Hardware will treat you like a human being....WITH RESPECT.
