Store is usually pretty chaotic with stuff everywhere in stock carts, but they are constantly understaffed so I get it. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

There is a young man at the checkout counter who is the friendliest most respectful young man I have met in years! I’m sorry I don’t know his name but he absolutely shines as a wonderful customer service employee!! I highly recommend that he receive a promotion. Whatever he chooses to do in life , he will go far. The store was remolded months ago. And it is still not put together. The so called healthier section shelves never has anything. It is almost completely bare and has been since the remodel. There's is still stuff all in the isles blocking you even looking at things and having trouble passing through. I am sure this is a fire hazard. The shelves are still bare. They could have a line but only one cashier.

You can't sell it, if it's not on the shelf. The location is perfect. The workers try hard to run the register and stock. The company needs to get off some money and hire people to stock-only stock. It's easier to do a good job, when you aren't constantly being pulled away.I do love the dollar aisle. I'm impressed with some of the new items being sold in the store. Dollar General is moving up in the world.

This store is just packed with everything but the kitchen sink. Aisles are tight and if you are there when they are stocking it's very hard to maneuver. Lots of good buys but be careful as the content sizes are not the same as the grocery store. Fast service, easy in and out location.

The people whp work there are nice...but...this is the most unorganized, dirty store I have ever seen. Never have I been into a Dollar General where there was more merchandise on stock carts blocking the aisles. They need a management change and get someone in there who knows how to delegate duties so customers don't have to move huge carts to see what's on the shelves.

The store is always cluttered, dusty and dirty. The aisles are often blocked and always seem to be in the middle of restocking and/or display changes. I've run into a rude associate a couple of times, but it's not often. Everyone has a bad day from time to time. Especially if you're understaffed and have no time to get everything done. Typical experience for Dollar General stores, though.

The store needs more help. The lines are always long and only 1 person working the register. Metal carts of either recycled boxes are in the aisles everywhere or stuff that needs to be shelved are in the aisles take your pick you can't get through or get to stuff you need. The store is just to small for all the merchandise they are cramming in it trying to sell

I go just about every day. The employees are great. They're like family now that I've been going so often. There is always something I need inside. I probably spend too much money every week when I go, but it is always a pleasure to be inside interacting with the staff.

I love Dollar General but this store is by far the worst I have ever come across. Though the employees are kind, the store is always a mess with empty shelves while boxes upon boxes of packed merchandise are lined up in the aisles, making it impossible to get to what little merchandise is out for sale. I dont want this store to close, I just wish it would be better staffed and stocked.

The store is a nasty mess. Carts of merchandise blocking the aisles. Huge mounds of randomness in the floor. Shelves are barely stocked. Trying to use digital coupons is a nightmare...the items aren't on the shelf and asking someone to try to locate the item is hopeless. This is the worst DG I have ever been in.

As usual, the store was in total disarray. The only aisles properly stocked and presentable were the pet, grocery, and greeting card aisles. Not sure why I thought it would be any better this time. Left and bought the items I went in for across the street at CVS.

Horrible as usual. No space to walk, stocking employee was rude (would not move to allow me to search shelf, barely budged after I said excuse me). Only one register open with about 10 customers in line, they need to get better, it's really ridiculous.

New managers start off here great but fizzle out fast. Came in store. Cashier had 4 people in line. By the time I got it line the 4th person was at the register. No cashier in site. But the line was half way down the aisle. Here comes the cashier and manager from the back. Then the manager proceeds to take the other register over if you had a card. So everyone but 2 people get in her line. First person in her line had verison phones. She was having problems ringing up. Instead of asking the lady if she could ring the rest of us up then get her she just kept letting the line grow and people walk out. Finally the customer told her to take the other cutomers first then get back to her . Corporate need to help this store out. The shelves are somewhat empty and the aisle need to be cleaned up.

Store is horrible it is a junk store, no question about it. I don't even like taking my 6 year old daughter in there cause it's a safety hazard. Place needs some serious management in there to clean the place up. With only having 3 options to shop in quick destination we deserve better.

This store has more stuff in the aisles than on the shelves! Never properly staffed either. Wonder why corporate hasn't stepped in and done anything about the issues cleared noted on previous reviews.

This is the only "Department" store in this area. It has an incredible inventory for it's size, and often saves a 30-45 minute drive into town. The staff is always friendly and they have great deals.

This store lacks product on the shelves and the morning staff is usually there to help and friendly but night shift will close the door 5 minutes till close and will do it right in your face. And anytime I ask for help they aren't willing to help sadly

Three stars because I do buy stuff I want and need here fairly often and the price is right and staff is generally pleasant. However, it is also ALWAYS so crowded with carts and boxes that it is definitely NOT ADA compliant!!!

I work there i had to leave because they have to much stock no one wants to help me put it up but two other ladies that work there. Management and some staff lazy. That's why there no stock on the shelf no one wants to work and i injured myself because of it. Need to close down and get stocked rigjt. I gave up to much on me. Are they even open today tried calling 6 times. No answer.

OMG .... Just don't get me started. Never staffed, never stocked, always a mess... This is what happens when corporate doesn't give a store enough hours to staff correctly. I only go when I have to.

This is not a huge store but it has an incredible array of goods to choose from. There are food items, household items, clothing and many miscellaneous things including a pretty good selection of automotive items.

Dollar General near Lake Monticello started out to be an asset to the community. Of late however, it has become a junk store. I wonder if the company has in pride in there store. The Palmyra Dollar General is not a store to be proud of. It is clear that the employees and the manager have none.

Shelves are always empty, 75% of the time they don't have what I'm looking for. Employees complain of hours being cut, but how could sales be enough when shelves are always empty? Needs a management reboot!

From dishes to tools, I always check my DT first when I'm getting home essentials that fit my budget. I can even scope their stock online if I'm in a hurry.

So if you are looking for budget items then I'd say this is the place to go for items like party supplies for kids. Thats about all I would go here for. The aisles are super messy and disorganized.

It's Dollar general. When you know what you're looking for, great. When you don't, avoid. The folks at theStore I go to (Palmyra,VA) are always polite and helpful
