I had some very cherished antique pieces of furniture that were very badly damaged while being stored and moved. These were family heirlooms and the thought of losing them brought tears to my eyes and heart. We had known of Timothy Smith &Sons in Onancock, however had no idea that they did restoration work. Levi took my pieces in to his shop and started work right away. He finished my dinning table in just a few weeks so that it would be ready for the holidays. One of the pieces was a mirror that the frame parts had to be put back together like jig saw puzzles and you would never have know it was damaged. The other pieces of furniture where brought back to life and turned out better than I had ever seen them. The workmanship is excellent and the personal communication was so comforting. When you think you have lost a part of your family’s history this is the company you should turn to. Timothy Smith & Sons

Timothy Smith & Sons (Levi) built a custom, 6’ square dining table for us and it is GORGEOUS! It’s truly a piece of art! Levi is meticulous about his craftsmanship and it shows in his work. We bought a beautiful 1890 Eastern Shore Gothic in Onancock in 2020 and wanted to do a nice job on the exterior. We had it painted and discovered some of the boards were shot.The team at Timothy Smith, led by Levi, crafted perfect boards and delivered them so our work crew could finish the beautifully done paint job.Not satisfied with just that, we decided our intricately hinged shutters needed recreating. Not ALL of them, too expensive. But the thought of plastic shutters on our beauty just wouldn't do.So, Levi and team recreated about five sets of shutters for us. Perfectly! We couldn't be happier.They are resourceful, willing, and exacting. Not to mention they offer superior customer service. Will put up a picture of the house with reproduced shutters. Haven't gotten them placed yet. In the meantime, here is a pic of the house and you can see the type of historic siding they masterfully reproduced.

I asked Levi to build two shelves and a bench and he provided us with an amazing service/ craftsmanship and fantastic selection of wood. Also as for the bench - it will be a piece of art. It will be made of one piece of white oak and bend from both ends to turn it to the bench which is a very innovative that came from Levi.I also enjoy his presence so thank you for the full package.

This is a fantastic shop! The cutting boards and furniture the owners make from reclaimed wood are absolutely gorgeous and there were a lot of other really neat items and books available as well. The owner was very friendly, knowledgable, and happy to share information about anything in the store. Everything I saw was being sold at a very reasonable price. I'll definitely be heading back to Timothy Smith & Sons the next time I'm in Onancock!

I commissioned a platform bed from here and not only was it done quickly, but the quality is better than the thousand dollar bed I'd had before and it was more sturdy and gorgeous than I could have imagined. The care that went into it ensured that I'd be able to sleep level even if my home leaned in the future. The delivery was timely and the bed arrived undamaged. They even stained it a custom shade to match what I was thinking and I couldn't be happier with my product. Highly, highly recommend.

Superb craftmanship! Very pleased with the custom island top and mantel made by Tim Smith & Sons. They were knowledgeable and helpful in executing my design ideas, and the end products are beautiful at a fair price. Highly recommend.

These guys are extremely skilled and knowledgeable in what they do, they make sure to never cut corners and care goes into every detail on both their original pieces and restorations.
