Great place to go for small lunch plate. Service was great, and the oyster sandwich was delicious and not over cooked. Only drawback was I had to keep poking them back into the bun, maybe a fritter style would be easier to handle not being on a hoagie bun. The twist on the fried green tomatoes having pimento cheese was a big hit at the table too.Dietary restrictions: My sister has gluten and egg allergies and the staff was more than willing to help and the chef was accommodating.

Great atmosphere! Grady was our server and was absolutely excellent. We started with the crabby spring rolls. SO GOOD! They were gooey and crabby with the punch of the aioli and we will totally order those again! My partner got the crab cakes and I got the bacon meatloaf. Our salads were divine with very fresh greens, slivered onions, carrots and a cherry tomato. The homemade creamy Italian dressing was lovely. My partners crab cakes were indeed made with love, but both of our green beans were inedible. I love green beans but these were merely shown the pan and were super crunchy. As a farm girl I love fresh green beans, but these were barely warmed. Grady was gracious enough to take them back to the kitchen, and I NEVER send things back. Ever. He brought me a new dish of eight green beans and they were no different. Very disappointed in that part, sadly. My meatloaf was delightful but the gravy was too sweet. It was a confusing combination of meatloaf with bacon, great mashed potatoes and a sweet gravy that unfortunately did not pull the ingredients together. The sunset and really nice weather offset the weirdness of the green beans and gravy, and the Sting Rae was a fantastic drink! We will absolutely ask for Grady’s section again but hope the green beans will be cooked to at least a temp (after sending them back once and having no change) that is not fresh off the vine.

Wonderfully quaint little food destination on the eastern shore . Easy to find and well worth the visit. Located inside a historic mercantile business that once served the water community in Onacock. You enter through the original store which pays homage to its role by keeping the place intact and creating a small museum in it. The restaurant's dining area is nicely situated with fresh, nautical colors of blue and white. There is a unobtrusive bar and a kitchen service window that borders the room. Seating outside near the water is available. Our food came quickly and was hot and fresh. We both ordered & enjoyed the crab cakes which had a nice crusty outside and tender, meat filled interior. I had mine as a salad on a bed of fresh mixed greens and red onions. I chosed the buttermilk & garlic dressing and was very pleased. We liked the quiet, yet busy atmosphere and the simple elevation of dining at The Millards.

Always great food here - everything was hot, delicious and beautifully presented. We, unfortunately, ate our meals too fast, so we didn't get a chance to take a picture. The service never disappoints either - they have a very polite and kind hostess, plus just never had a bad waiter here. Really neat place to check out! Beautiful views during the season!

We had a great time there. The food was good. The crab cakes was full of crab and tasty. It had a lovely view of the water and there was a historical museum there too.We still remember the wonderful view and feeling we had there. Great stop and wonderful place to relax and enjoy your time together!

I’ve had great experiences here in the past, so I was disappointed with this visit. We were one of only 3 tables seated in the restaurant, so it wasn’t busy. 2 of the 4 of us ordered Grouper, and after 5 minutes our server returned to very apologetically tell us there was only 1 serving of Grouper available. We understood and chose the meatloaf. Another 10 minutes went by, and she again returned to tell us they were out of meatloaf. So we chose short ribs. We waited a long time for the food to arrive, and when it did it was obvious that the 1 serving of Grouper given was actually Flounder. When one of us left the table to approach our server about it, the owner of the restaurant walked over and claimed that the last piece of Grouper had “accidentally” been given to another table. It was obvious that they purposely sent the Grouper to another table, and tried to pass the Flounder off as Grouper at our table hoping we wouldn’t know the difference because nothing was said. This is dishonest and bad business. The owner did comp the meal (The flounder was small and not something I would expect for the price) but did not fess up to trying to pass off Flounder as grouper. He offered to fix me something different, but everyone else had their food. I’m a local, and had brought my out of town visitor with great expectation. Our server Erica was wonderful and very apologetic about our experience. I will not be returning.

Went on a chilly rainy evening, very few people there but we had seen the great reviews. I had the "#1 best crab cake" entree which had one small, bland crab cake that was mostly filler and had zero taste... If you cannot see any crab from the outside you know it's not going to be good. . This entree had about 8 hard green beans but the mashed potatoes were actually very good. I left there hungry and stopped to get something to eat on the way home. My companion had the "#1 best orange crush" which was mediocre at best. Their entree was shrimp and grits, that was so overly seasoned it was difficult to eat. Staff was excellent! This poor town needs something to bring people in but this is not it.

The Ocean Front View is only a small pier, nice, but all you can really see is the boats coming and going.Pet friendly, nice staff, prices were through the roof!! We had 3 for lunch and the bill was over $100!!!! We read great reviews prior to visiting and it came highly recommended by locals but in my opinion the food was kinda bland and uneventful...I got catch of the day, it was good enough but almost $20! We also got a BBQ sandwich and chicken tenders, firecracker shrimp, and crab egg rolls they were good and different! everything looked like it came from food lion besides my fish! Such a let down from the reviews that raved about it!Parking: Parking at wharfWheelchair accessibility: Ramps around back

Delicious crab cakes and cute place. It was a few minutes off the path but very worth it. My wife had a chicken salad which she enjoyed, I had a crab cake and it was awesome.

Horrible service, older lady just wasn't a good waitress. Watched bartender go in kitchen and grab a bite of something. She didn't write anything down so she forgot cocktail sauce missed lettuce and tomato on the side. Asked for small plates to go with appetizers but never got them. Crabby eggrolls were okay, firecracker shrimp was also just okay. I think shrimp should be crusted in panko and tossed in sauce. Had to ask for drink to be refilled. Didn't think the crab cake lived up to the hype. Coleslaw was seasoned good and I think owner brought us food bc service was slow but only a few people at restaurant. He asked if we needed anything and told him ketchup but I guess he forgot. Also I watched a girl from the band go behind bar and fill up her personal tumbler after bartender told her go ahead she didn't have to ask. Mom just had to go ask bartender for check bc we dont know where waitress is. This place reminded me of one of the restaurants off restaurant impossible or bar rescue, it needs some serious management help.

Wharf/shanty style waterfront restaurant in historic Onancock on Virginia's Eastern Shore. Minutes off of US 13. Museum-like entrance and lobby with cases of artifacts and wall mounted photos and documents from the one-time dock warehouse and supply store. We will definitely stop on our trips through the Eastern Shore to visit our southern family!
