This location is the worst! Customer Service is -10. I went today to do a return and stood at the counter waiting for someone to come and help me. Finally a lady came and said we closed (5pm). I told her I had a return and she said there is no on here to do a return! I said there is no one in the entire store to do a return? She said no and walked off. This is so inappropriate and poor service. So on my way out I saw another worker and asked her and she said she just got to work and didn’t know what was going on! Do better!

Best time of day to come is at the crack of dawn, otherwise it's always busy. The prices are high and less options to choose from but it's convenient to have a grocery store just minutes from my home. The produce isn't that great so I usually just get a bag of apples instead of berries.

This Wal-Mart off of Hopkins Rd in the Southern Richmond VA area is an embarrassment to all the other Wal-Mart’s in the Nation. And, this isn’t stating much. Their manager, a man known as Michael, just walks around the store acting like he’s doing something. If this manager was effective, there wouldn’t be just only 1 cashier register open and only one self serve station, where the line goes back all the way to the pharmacy. The produce is sub-par. There was no lettuce, no avacados, and their bananas were all marked and discolored, this day I was grocery shopping here. And, it’s like this here often, too. .Serious changes need to be made by the CEO of Walmart, particularly, this store!!Here’s another day… Tuesday February 20th 2024 at 4:45p local time, self serve crowd is still backed up to the Pharmacy. Only one human cashier is available taking customers that’s backed up to the produce area. I have shopped here numerous times, the only top manager I ever see here, is a guy named Michael, whom I am told is the hiring manager. This store, located at 5700 Hopkins RD in the Meadowdale area of North Chesterfield, VA, is beyond dysfunctional. This is a poor reflection of the Walmart corporation and their Walton family. Something needs to be done at this store! The lines are huge. Pathetic, it really is…Saturday March 9th 2024. I am at the Walmart at 5700 Hopkins Rd (South Richmond) VA, and again, there are two huge lines with just one cashier and a self serve “bullpen” as they call it, open. 👎It’s now April 6th 2024 @ 5:00p (EDT), and it’s Saturday with a considerable crowd. There is only one cashier open and the self serve bull pen available with a line. Trying to understand why this store won’t provide at least two cashiers when it’s a Saturday and there’s a crowd. All this results from, in my opinion, a very poor upper management structure at this store.

Why is the deli always close in mid day & their always a worker behind the deli counter to let you know its closed, no matter the time of day hopkin walmart deli is the worst. I look forward to getting my luch meat for work!!

I shop here a lot out of convenience. This is one of the worst stores in the area as far as variety and presentation. Employees will almost never return a hello or acknowledge an excuse me. The people that shop here are about the same. I have had multiple people try to bum money off me inside the store. The other day a black dude was on his phone screaming how he hated white people.

Absolutely no stars I scheduled a pick up order from 12-1 today now I placed the order at 7am it was delayed at pickup time. So I rescheduled for 5-6 and have been waiting over 2 hrs for a pickup while associates laugh and play in the back when asked multiple times where is my order they say we're working on it. I only ordered 19 items called pickup they didn't answer the phone. You all won't get another penny from me.

As usual, the staff was not friendly or helpful. Not a lot of parking spaces. Store was in less than mint condition, the checkout line was long and slow. I think all Walmarts need to be under new management.

I just went to the neighborhood Walmart store to grab some granny apples for breakfast. Wow those were some really expensive apples but like everything else inflation has taken its toll on our grocery bills it's no fault Walmart or any other for that matter. I always enjoy going to Walmart. They seem to have some of the greatest customer service ever. And you get to meet new people. With some people don't know is that Walmart gives to the feedmore program. And I think that's a pretty incredible thing. You got to give in order to receive. Thank you Walmart for always making my visits to your store memorable. And thank you for the great customer service I have received throughout the many years I have been going to your stores

Not enough checkout lanes, not enough staff. I do not recommend getting any fresh produce here, very low quality.Non perishables are okay but don't buy produce here.

The neighborhood was busy, when we pickup our groceries. Oz a very polite and respectful young man delivered them. He didn't let how busy it was keep him from providing wonderful service. Keep up the good work.

I had no choice but to use self checkout as the lines in the place are all the way down the shopping lanes, but I was in a hurry to get home and live 30 mins away. I was told today about the items I left in the self checkout that since someone either stole them or put them back on the shelf without writing them down that it was my responsibility to take care of the things I buy! Nevermind that it's more than likely a non-trained employee that put them back without recording it. So now I'm supposed to be late for work filing a police report to find out what happened to the medication I paid for, for my son that has trouble sleeping. When Walmart has never given me an issue with returning the items I bought before. I honestly feel Discriminated against for my skin color. It would seriously be different but I got hurt and had to be out of work for several weeks and I spent the last I had for my child to be able to sleep at night. But the manager Robin felt like it was my loss because I forgot my things, Also for using self checkout! I honestly see now why I used to avoid this store like the plague. I will not step foot in there ever again. I recommend if you ever forget things like I do don't use this store!

Always like convenience of Walmart. However, my only concern is I must consider my visits based on whether I want to pay by card, or use cash...it can be extremely inconvenient to wait in fairly lengthy lines to pay for an item or two with cash...in those cases, I drive the extra 55 seconds to Food Lion...this isn't a complaint, just an observation. Funny thing is, Food Lion incorporated Walmarts express self pay isles, to make cash transactions even faster. At the same time, Wamart limits the express self pay to credit card only. This directly contributes to long wait times at the registers. I'd like to think there is a business opportunity there for local management.

Apparently only 1 employee knows how to work customer service desk if the person is not there then its closed, meanwhile they are paying an employee to stand using his phone in social media. Thats actually stealing money from the company. I think they need to prioritize. There should be someone at any point in customer service desk.

This is the 2nd time in a month the self service doesn't take cash. (This is why I'm adding a review, due to it being more than once.) Then there's 1 line open that takes cash. Unfortunately with 10 people in it. When you have a 1 year old you can't necessarily stand in a line that long. There should be accommodations like 2 self service lines that take cash. There's 6 or 7 of them. The point of this store is convenience so you don't have to drive down Rt 10 to the big Walmart. Please take customers concerns into consideration and how you would feel if it were you.

Location has gotten better with time. In The past, it has been a bit rough and had subpar customer service. I literally used to avoid this store and drive 6 miles out of my way. I have seen improvements recently. Better stocking, more attentive staff, good product variety, etc.

I can hardly ever find what I go there to get. Either the shelve is empty or most items are very few to choose from or they don't carry it. I do have to say that now this store has gotten better. The shelves now are stocked but the delivery service is terrible. Takes me forever to get the things I order and now they say I can only order online from this store. I used to be able to order from other stores that are close to me. Makes no sense to me. I'm seriously thinking about canceling my Wal-Mart Plus service.

Very bad rotten smell as soon as you walk in shameful on Walmart, the deli to To purchase baked chicken , A lady was cutting cold , I ask any baked chicken no because I’m all alone so I guess you will have to deal with it I immediately call Walmart customer care explain what happened. We customer are bigger then any company if they don’t want out money we can go somewhere else that’s how I feel.

The absolute worst! I ordered groceries to be delivered between 4pm -5pm but they never were delivered. I received one email saying my order was delayed. I had to call customer service 3 times within a span of 4 hours to get status updates on my order. I was given multiple excuses and even told they could arrange another driver to deliver my order to me by 9pm. It was 8:57pm when told that. 😒 I ended up canceling my order. I will never patronize this Walmart again.
