AMERICAN PHARMACY HORROR STORY - Rite Aid sent my prescriptions to this store and now I cannot get any of them filled. First clerk had me tell her bottle by bottle what each of my prescriptions are, then hung up before I finished. Second clerk let me finish, then informed me that I would have to have all my prescriptions called/faxed in by my doctors. When I asked about moving to another location, I was told I would need to come in and fill out a request to do so.My primary medications are for anxiety due to PTSD and I have not had them in a week now. This was not the conversations I needed to have this morning. Why couldn't Walgreens have went bankrupt and Rite Aid buy them out?I'll start drinking before I walk into this place and have any of my prescriptions filled!

The most rude and disrespectful group of pharmacist and clerks ever to work in one place. Move your prescription to anyplace else immediately. They don't have any compassion, they are not proficient, they are ghetto, yes the Pharmacist and all her minions. They ridiculed me as I was leaving and told me that me not having my medicine isnt that serious. I will be transferring my prescriptions the first chance I get. It has always been bad with this group and there seems to be no accountability for their actions. I have witnessed this behavior several times and my wife and I have experienced it on several occasions, but today is it for me.

This Walgreens has the absolute worst customer service. Prescriptions get called in and aren’t ready for hours some times the next day. You call to check and they put you on endless hold then pick up just to hang up. I really miss the days of an actual local pharmacy that truly cares about their customers.

I have been using this Walgreens for 13 years. The service in the pharmacy has been a nightmare for over a year now. 1 hour plus waiting in line on average. I have not been through the checkout without a problem for the past three visits. I fill once every three months right now. Either my insurance didn’t clear, my insurance website is “down”, we don’t have enough medication to fill the whole prescription…the excuses go on and on.I will be switching all of my prescriptions to the CVS. Wish me luck 🍀

Had a great experience here. Had all scripts moved from the Bayview location which has become horrible especially with customer service. Very friendly here and very easy to talk to.

Emma was fantastic from the beginning of answering my questions over the phone to the warm friendly greeting as I walked in to all of her assistance with choosing the best print for an art showcase I’d been invited to submit my photography the previous night @ The Art Institute of Va Beach. Deadline 5/9/23 @ 3pm. I made it on time to hang for “The Garden Party” opening on 5/11/23 4-7p. Her feedback and engagement made me feel like a true seasoned professional photographer 😆😍. I shared my experience with other artists when I’d arrived to hang my pieces. Mike was magnificent as well. Thank you all for all of the hats you wear and might I add your wonderful professionalism as you do what you do making each customer feel as important as I did! I enjoyed watching your teamwork!! So I’m brand new in town and this Walgreens is the closest one so I chose it. Well, I will say my 2nd time using them and I won’t be back. Unfortunately, they are too “busy” to fill a medicine when I am coughing my head off and feel terrible. Oh and want to add they staff is not compassionate at all and laughed when I showed concern about being sick and still waiting for my meds. They first told me 3 hours which too long but I said okay then I called at the time they told me and the lady just told me to give them 30-40 MORE minutes!!! If they can’t prioritize “sick” meds to “maintenance” meds then I need a new location! No worries because this area has several locations!

Always finds a way to not fill or mess up my prescriptions. I have been using them for 2 years and all the sudden they filled a prescription under my old last name for no reason. Horrible at their job.

They say they never received my scripts. Talk to my doctor who assures me they are sent in.Call wait for 8 mins through 2 automated systems. Someone answers says hold. It's goes to ringing for 4 mins then hangs up.Call back repeat. This time no one answers and it goes to ringing then hangs up after 6 mins. Not like it's life or death or anything.

Awful service. My wife in acute pain. Briana took my order and asked me to wait while she prepared it. Then left for the day. 40 minutes after I asked her colleague Jamesha who could not find the order nor the prescription. She was very rude and waived me off. After I insisted she transferred my prescription to Suffolk. All in all I wasted 3 hours on what could have been done in 10 minutes. Thank you so much for such a negligent and unprofessional behavior.

My review is specifically for the pharmacy. This place is complete trash when it comes to service. I've waited over three days now for my prescriptions ! I came in the first day it was sent and I was told they wouldn't have time that day, to wait until tomorrow. Then I was told my prescription couldn't be made until I guaranteed I would pay the final amount and they would call me with a price. No call, tried to call them and was hung up on. It took 3 calls to get through for someone to tell me the previous information was wrong and I had to go in person and pay to have my prescription made. I show up again, again another 30 minute line only to be told at the front that they didn't have my ok to make the prescription so it's not made and I can't pay ahead of time because there is no tag. So I have to come back again. Also, my other medication which is nothing special wasn't even ready because someone didn't enter it 3 days ago when it was sent in. This place is just ridiculous. No professionalism and no sense of customer service. They sounded annoyed at me for wanting something like my prescription. I'm new to the area and the urgent care I went to picked this place for me. Never again.*update * finally got my prescription and for once the person at the front was pleasant and friendly. I believe Melina was her name. I could hear the other worker being rude behind the counter.

Staff is great but appear to be shorthanded. The volume of users of pharmacyservices seems quite high.When prescriptions run out of refills, Walgreens used to contact doctors office.Sometimes this happens/sometimes not.The prescription refill website isn't user friendly. While I really appreciate email notifications, they are repetitive and quite often the current prescription isn'tthe one being referenced.I may be way off base but feel staffing shortage may be the problem.Thank you for your continued help.

If I could Leave 0 stars , trust me I would. They have a lot to work on and I’m not talking about store products wise, the pharmacy is horrible ! They have one person doing all the work up front while others just stand in the back talking and laughing. No type of order at all.

Will be moving to a different drug store... over the years I have had at times excellent service from this pharmacy, however in the past year and a half the service is just not there, straw to break the camels back, called to speak with pharmacy, after employee answers was placed on hold after an extended period of time phone was picked up and placed on hold, phone began to ring 20 rings later was disconnected. Called back received automated there is one caller in front of you, phone began to ring again phone answered and placed on hold, over the next ten minutes when phone rang it was picked up and placed on hold. this is not the first time I have had such experience

Made appointment for COVID vaccination; dire need to travel deadlines. Came for the appointment and they ran out of vaccines. No apology, they just said oh thought we called everyone. Never received a call - digital age. She says come back Monday. Luckily vaccines are a dime a dozen in most locations got an early appointment with Walmart pharmacy. Piss poor service.

Had an 11:00 appointment for booster- it’s now 11:35 still have not been called back.. asked one of the staff members if there was a restroom I could use, she rudely said.. No, there are no public restrooms anymore. Word to management at Walgreens… if there is an hour wait to receive vaccinations- you could at least allow us to use your restroom!!!

Worst Walgreens I have ever been to. Specifically the pharmacy portion. They screwed up my prescriptions on three separate occasions causing me to have to scramble and drive 30 minutes out of my way to another pharmacy who could competently handle it on one occasion. They are always understaffed. It takes 20 minutes just to pick up a prescription, if they can even manage to process it properly. Avoid this Walgreens at all costs.

East Little Creek Rd. They have hung up on me 7 times this morning. Main store twice, Pharmacy five times. How do you stay in business? When the Right Aid was across the street your service in the pharmacy was great. You purchased them, and closed the store. Your store wet to hell. Your employees don't care. They are rude and move at the pace of a slug.

Pharmacy is awful. Many staff members are rude. Have given numerous of chances and always the same outcome. Have messed up medicine on multiple occasions and still try to give them more chances to no avail. Will be moving all my meds and family meds to another business who cares.

Friendly and compassionate pharmacist at pick-up window this morning. But I cannot understand why a giant chain like Walgreens would not take Blue Cross Blue Shield. WTH? Another example of how messed up this industry is in the U.S.

This Walgreen’s store is severely under-staffed for the amount of customers it services. COVID has nothing to do with the this issue either because it was this way long before COVID. Most of the staff are nice enough but the 30+ minute waits due to having only 1 drive-thru line Is ridiculous. Trio-care needs to allow free choice so we can move mom back to CVS.

I had been getting my prescription filled here every month for 2 years. New pharmacist (as?of Jan '20) refused to fill because it is narcotic and very rude about it. Told me to go someplace else.My wife is locked into a single phamacy but could not get item at regular store. Same pharmacist refused to fill, says "doctor restricted availability" yet insurance company released lock the prescribing doctor had nothing to do with it.. The insurance company tried to call him, but he was to busy to take call. Refused to run thru insurance 2nd time, just wanted to charge $150.00. Had to go to CVS to fill.Need to get rid of this guy, he doesn't know his job.

Don’t purchase photos from this location. I ordered 19 photos and they were damaged and had holes in them. When I walked up to the counter they immediately admitted that their machine is broke. The refund process was a hassle as the employees didn’t know how to use a combination of digital payment services and their own system.

I received two prescriptions on Friday,that were called in. I didn't hear anything back from Walgreens until Monday and only one was filled. I called twice and sat on hold for 20 to 25 minutes each. I'm done with Walgreens and going to cvs.5/26 Walgreens still sucks, waiting in drive through line for 20 minutes. Pharmacy is under staffed and over worked.

I'm retired Vet using TRICARE Prime which as of Dec 1st of 2016. Canceled their pharmacy contract with CVS and switched to Walgreens. Allow me to share my first experience with Walgreens. Spent 30 minutes in line before I could drop off my script. Understaffed!!! Only 2 people running the pharmacy. Dropped off at 6:30ish pm. I am told it will be ready by 9:30. I Set up the Text notification so I'll know when it's ready. It's currently 11pm, no one is answering the phone at the pharmacy and I'm out of Medication. DISSAPPOINTMENT. Comes to mind. So this is a Fine Howdy Do if you ask me. I promise to share the outcome of this particular organization later. Oh, thanks government Helthcare for raising my annual enrollment fees and co pay amounts too.

This Walgreens location has declined in efficiency of service. I got married and changed my name in the system last August. There is still confusion where I have two accounts. Have requested combining but management hasn’t done it yet. Sad

Bruno is a horrible staff member. He talks down to you and refuses to be wrong. He is rude and condescending. He doesn’t explain medications well in any capacity and then talks to your doctor when he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. When asked for corporate number he hangs up on you. BEWARE OF BRUNO! DO NOT TRUST HIM!!!!!

They are way behind in giving shots ok cool y'all busy but why was Malcolm cussing while handling me saying what the hell while checking to see if I was in the computer.. Reggie was asked a question and his response to the customer was I'm not here if you can say that you can answer the question there lack of professionalism comes from the pharmacist desmine/dezmine when a customer asked him how much longer it would be to get her shot he his aggressive response was don't rush me if you don't want the wrong shot ...she came in at 4:45 and didn't get her shot until 5:45 so her question about how much longer was valid they are very very rude it was ugly...
