I visited this PetSmart location to get some more litter for my kitties and it was a quick and easy trip. The store is very well-stocked with a plethora of goods for your pets and some pets to purchase and adopt! Definitely worth a visit.

I’m very surprised that a chain store can give the level of service that we received from Hannah! She was awesome and now the norfolk Petsmart is our “go to” for his baths and brushes! Thanks Hannah Jo!

I stopped in to pick up an online order because they were taking a bit longer to email me that the order was ready. Just as I was walking in the store, the email came through saying the order was ready. I never went past the first register and the clerk asked if I was picking up an order; I said yes, he asked what I ordered, I told him, and showed him the order/receipt on my phone, and told him my name. He goes to get the order and then starts demanding my ID. Now, I understand asking for the ID if they had bought it out to my car. I need to understand why after giving them the order name, number, and telling them what I ordered, and my phone number why then try to treat me like a thief!! There was nothing of value in the bag (litter box deodorant and dewormer). Any other time I go in the store to buy items for my cats, they don’t demand an ID. Are they that stupid to think that someone could just walk in and give ALL of the information for a particular order without having knowledge of it?? He was holding the bag like it belonged to him!! He was looking at me like I was trying to steal something! I had ALREADY PAID for the items! I’m sick of being treated in this manner because of something someone else did.I asked once (while at the curbside parking spot) why they started asking for your ID when picking up an online order and was told because someone who worked at PetSmart gave someone the wrong order! Make it make sense!I will find another store to buy my pet items from. PetSmart has lost my trust and business!

Angela was a brilliant groomer who understood out diva Australian Shepherd. Her styling was perfect and Bella came out very pleased and proud.Sophie groomed our Freddie, and he looks brilliant... she was even able to trim his tail and trim his nails, something others have failed at.

This store has a great variety of items for pets. I have guinea pigs and this store has a nice selection of treats and other supplies for small animals. I can always find what I'm looking for. I volunteered here for Lil Roar Cat Rescue and the employees were always very helpful taking care of the kitties and all of the animals there. The employees working in the fish section were very informative and I noticed they always had great advice for customers.

First time visiting this Petsmart in VA. We were on vacation in Virginia Beach to visit my son and family. It got really cold one day. We were concerned for our dog Lucky. We went to get him a sweater as we didn't pack his when we left MD. We found him one and they were on sale for 9.99. We ended up buying 3 plus toys. We even got my son's 2 dogs 🐕 some toys too. It was great 👍 👌 ☺. Picture was before his sweater was bought for him

Very clean and well maintained store. The shelves are all very organized and the employees are incredibly helpful and kind. Always ready to help! The pet areas are kept clean and in good shape.

Not sure the name of the gentleman who was working the register tonight on Nov 22 @6 pm but he was so kind!! Made us feel very welcome. Excellent customer service that I haven’t seen in years. As for the other employee who helped us with picking out our fish, not so much. Had to ring the bell 5 times while she avoided eye contact at all cost.

Took the dogs for a grooming session and Tasha was fantastic with them.Store is super clean, organized and well stocked. And my cashier was very friendly and fast!

Had the worst experience ever this week with a manager and staff member at the Norfolk location and then was emailed by the store after my report to corporate with no apology but only to justify the rude encounter. Won't be shopping here again!

I came here to try this location again becas they had better grooming reviews. My pet was seen by Victoria, in which she questioned a lot as if she was new. I can see if this was my pet 1st time being seen by PetSmart, but my pet has been coming to PetSmart for years now. Maybe at least 7-8 years. Very disappointed in the amt time wasted with the back and forth.

Went to purchase a fish to replace one that died. They refused to sell me one after they found out I had a 10 gal tank. I have 9 fish in the tank. They said I was overstocked on the tank. The rule is 1 fish per gallon of water, checked numerous web sites all said the same. Will never due business with them again. There staff is not trained well at all.

At first I was nervous to come to grooming because of the bad reviews, But staff were so nice! They were calm and patient with my cat! I will definitely be returning thanks guys! Ignore the reviews and just go! I forgot the ladies name but she was really nice (pink hair) Thanks guys!

I wish I could remember their name, but the associate who helped us with the hamsters was awesome! They seemed very knowledgeable and they were very friendly. They answered all of our questions and helped us get our new pet and all the supplies that we needed and let us know that we could come back and talk to them in the future if we needed anything or had more questions. Give this person a raise because they deserve it!

Never ever have your dog groomed here. My dog was past her usual appointment from getting spayed. We discussed what she needed and I left. They called me once I got home to say her ears were too matted to do the service. They failed to tell me that they shaved her down to her skin on her back side and stopped. I had no words. I will never go back. Poor girl was stressed and attached to me the rest of the day.

Always pleasant. Shelves needed to be stocked but since covid .. most stores are the same way.Update shelves are stocked n good for all products. Everything is back to normal. Quick visit for tags n wormer and was in and out in 15or so minutes. Fav location

First off I love PetSmart as a store to get items for my pets! But if I could give -0 stars to the grooming department I would. I went in earlier this week as a first time customer for a consult on my soon to be two year old Yorkie. I discussed with the groomer want I wanted and what she could have creative control on. Her appointment was at 11am. Around 130pm I went to go check on her because I’m like no way a 4lbs pup would take that long and I didn’t want to drive to my next appointment in Va Beach and leave her behind. When I asked the ETA a young lady nonchalantly stated well I can’t tell you how much longer it would be but we do ask for 4hrs with a dog. I kindly responded unfortunately during my consultation that wasn’t discussed with me. I advised her I had a vet appointment for my other pup and I would just double back for her. Her response we ask that it doesn’t take you more than an hour. I left the store and not even 10min later were they calling me to get Lilo. I was so frustrated because I’m on the interstate heading to the next appointment after she told me she couldn’t give me a ETA. I called my fiancée to go pick her up so I wouldn’t have to turn around and when she FaceTimed me to see our pup. I cried. Her first grooming experience and $80 later she looks HORRIBLE! No blending, shaved down, and choppy. My baby looks like the naked Mole rat from Kim Possible. And the hair around her face don’t even get me started. I will never return!!! From their customer service to their lack of grooming skill set.

My dog came in and for starters was there for 7 hours. Next after her visit she has been throwing up for 3 days. They claim they dont get pets treats but I dont believe that. She was fine b4 hand and now she is sick. I will take her to a vet and follow up with the review

I really enjoy going to this PetSmart The people are friendly and helpful. The place is always clean and smells great... Of course you get to bring your pooch or pur with you and that's one of the best parts The animals are taking care of from what I can see ..pls visit this store with your pets today.. prices are reasonable

My Doggie KIKAY goes to Petsmart here in Norfolk for about 2 years now. She just get a nail, teeth brushing and ear cleaning. Today, my son took KIKAY for her usual service. They did not disclose to him before they did the service that they are charging him service handler for $10. It’s not even 5 minutes after he picked her up that she was done. They did not mentioned to him that they charged him. When he went to the cash register he was surprised about the $10.00 charge. When he came home he told me about it. He goes, good thing I have enough money because i even tipped them $10.00. They did not even do a full service to Kikay and charging extra $10.00, that’s ridiculous he said. When I called and talk to the manager or someone from that department. She was so argumentative that my dog is not behaved and keep spinning in the table. I think before you get charge they have to tell you ahead of time and not just charging you, as a customer’s right. So after 2 years of taking the same pet to Petsmart, I got extra charge instead of discount, lol! What a shame losing a customer over $10.00. It’s the principle thar matters.

Purchased my 3/4 half moon betta fish from here, along with a new tank and few accessories for my new betta. Named my new betta "BLAZE". He was boogié at first, but he's good now. I purchased pellets like I had for my previous bettas, but he wouldn't eat those. Then I managed to change to flakes and he ate those like crazy along with the bloodworms; hit the tank wanting more, but nobody told you to starve for a few days, but I guess it was his way of telling me it wasn't for him🤷🏾♀️. Other than that, THANK YOU!!!!

This is very good store staff is always very friendly and helpful. And if you're an animal lover who doesn't love a store that you can take your animal to I love dogs myself. Good place to get all your dog's needs shots literally anything you could think of for your pets. Keep up the great work many thumbs up five stars
