I just went for the first time since I moved here over 2 years ago, and I'm kicking myself for not going right away. The produce section is amazing! Everything was fresh and so far delicious! The store gave off some Aldi vibes. Pricing also seemed very reasonable.

It's everything you expect of a lidl. Clean, fresh produce, decent prices. Everything seemed well stocked. Cashier wasn't very personable but items were rung up quickly. The begs are not strong at all. They were literally breaking as I opened them. That's really the only sucky thing during the trip.

I come regularly to this Lidl, I’ve had just regular and positive shops at this location multiple times. One time I decided to buy fish, I went home and first thing I do is open it to cook it and smelled so rotten, I literally put it in a bag and took it back to have my money returned. The place is very clean but watch put for the meats, fish ect.

This past Sunday my husband and I had the opportunity to go to this Lidl location in Norfolk Virginia around the Military Highway area. Additionally, my husband and I had positive experiences from previously shopping at a Lidl location in the College Park Maryland by around the summer 2019 timeframe which also indirectly influenced my curiosity on this Norfolk Virginia location. Luckily this shopping experience was also a positive experience and among some of the multiple items my husband purchased at this Norfolk Virginia Military Highway Lidl location: some blueberries garlic sage mushrooms paprika bananas strawberries avocados apples etc.

I began shopping here due to a somewhat larger selection of groceries compared to Aldi. However, my past few visits have left me disgusted. Every time I open a deep freezer to grab any form of meat, the packages are bloated like the meat is spoiled, and the inside of the freezers smell like rotten meat as soon as the freezer door is opened. Much of the produce will already be spoiled, molding, or rotten while still being days before the best-by date. Today, I bought pickles and as soon as I opened the container, I noticed the pickles were soft, meaning they were also spoiled. Most perishables are much closer to their expiration date than other grocery stores. Overall, I loved Lidl for a while, but these past experiences with zero improvement have left me never wanting to return.

Very large store. Had enormous amount of Turkey and ham for the holidays. But I was looking for my rack of lamb hopefully they will have it closer to Christmas. I think I was in the store an hour and a half just going up and down every aisle what a selection. I even bought some fruit that I never heard of but I'm going to try it

The only reason for the change in rating is the fact that the majority of.the plants they had advertised this week they did not have yet their app said they were all in stock. Unfortunately, this is becoming more and.more common at this store.

The prices are very very low. This reflects the fact that they use their own brands (similar to the "well known" brands). Although they do have topical products. The place is kinda small but it has a good variety of products. I will definitely go for my day-to-day shopping.

Love Lidl. Only wish: more imported food and personal care items! And that some things would be available year round (like the heart shaped frozen pizza imported from Italy!). The rewards program does not do that much for me, and doesn’t factor into my decision to shop at Lidl. It’s the prices, quality and variety that brings me back.

Staff member Alexis was very rude and I feel as if I was profiled, I was with a friend whom was purchasing alcohol and she asked for my ID as if I was the one purchasing it then proceeded to say I gave her attitude and that “she didn’t have to serve us” although I never said one rude thing at all and I am well over the legal age to purchase alcohol but somehow I was profiled at this establishment, the cashier came of as racist to me and as a leader of my community I am displeased with this establishment’s representation of cashiers.

This is my favorite grocery store EVER right now. The folks in the self checkout are very nice and helpful. I am handicapped right now and it's a real treat going here because I can get around with the cart as a walker and in such a short time I've got the shopping done, by myself. The store is very efficient and I love their variety of international products. It's awesome! I love it. Also the baked goods are so amazing and I almost don't even want to mention them it's like the best secret ever. I hope they are good to their employees and suppliers, I did hear they buy surplus/goods from local providers.Update - They have these croissants there, they have chocolate and hazelnut and vanilla creme in them. I don't know words for it. They are just, holy smokes. The smokes are holy. Yes!

This was my first experience at a Lidl location. It is very similar to an Aldi's location. I felt they had pretty good deals on the seafood and pricing overall was competitive. The staff was active and friendly. Parking was easy in and out and the carts were nice to use. Their spacing in the aisles were more than adequate and the selection of food on hand was great. We went there multiple times to purchase drink and food for our vacation. Highly recommend this location for your food needs if you are not eating out everyday.

Haven't been to lidl in a long time, Because of my last experience, but now their prices have dropped and they have a lot of good deals. I was very impressed, and they also have an app where you save money score for me😁

Like two people work there and I'm tired of buying meat that should be good for weeks and finding out it's spoiled. Was excited to cook these ribs and I'm not bringing spoiled meat to the store. Even when I get there I know that nobody works there anyway so it's not worth it to just hold up the other shoppers to return it.

Only my second time here. Bought a considerable amount more items. Pricing was decent, store very clean, employees very helpful and friendly and I saw so many items I have never heard of. Bought one of those items. A bag of cabbage and pork dumplings. Can’t tell you the brand name because it’s in Chinese. But I love dumplings and these were great for a frozen product. I did make a easy dumpling sauce I found on YT. I happened to have all the ingredients because I make a lot of Asian based foods.

Lidl is slightly trash. This is what's found in their produce dept. (See photo). I don't know what the produce dept does all day but they surely do not care about their consumers. Also I'm on my way back there due to all my potatoes being green. I noticed one or two when I purchased them but when I opened the bag, all of them are bad. And green potatoes can cause sickness! This was the last straw.

Perfect for what it is, great value on store brands, wine and beer, etc. They don't have everything, and the lines can back up due to self bagging and customer volume. Very good in general.

I love Lidl. This location though has some of the rudest employees I’ve ever dealt with.We show up 20 minutes to close to buy some water bottles and lunch meat. In and out. No biggie. We grab a cart for the waters and the employee just looks at us as says “20 minutes.” “Huh?” “20 MINUTES” uh okayWe go in and grab the water and I’m trying to decide what kind of lunch meat to get and a person who sounds recorded over the speaker says “ hello we are closing in ten minutes.” Cool. I grab the lunch meat and head up front.During this time the employee is walking around the store going “THE STORE IS CLOSED GO TO CHECKOUT. HELLO IM CLOSING THE STORE GO TO CHECKOUT” and marching around ( it’s like 852 at this point. ) While I’m in checkout a woman try’s to walk in and he tells her they are closed. She simply wanted eggs and would leave right after and tells him “see it’s only 856 I just need eggs. He then made her leave.Then goes back to walking around the store this time saying •”THE STORE IS CLOSED LEAVE” while the poor cashier is telling people it’s okay they can still checkout they don’t have to leave their things.Very awkward and rude experience.

We did have a good shopping experience until we saw - me and my twins - the cashier men throwing in mean way our cake and the box was standing by its corner in the belt. We don’t know why he did that ! Maybe because we look different ! What we know that he ruined our day and gave my daughters a bed lesson of not saying sorry even you’re wrong !
