Deceptively nice Food Lion. Always full in-stocks and great customer service.We’ve actually found quite a few of the store brand items are surprisingly delicious. The lasagna and frozen dill chicken strips are fantastic. Sodas, not so much, go to Kroger if you want some really good store brand sodas. But, overall, this Food Lion has consistently delivered an excellent experience all around.

This is an outstanding Food Lion. Very clean and well lit. I think it was renovated recently. I came here for leeks because the food Lion near my house doesn’t carry them and when I googled buying leeks, this store was listed as having them and they did! They have a nice organically section as well as a good international cheese open case, ready to eat meals and a hot bar at the front of the store.

This food lion was better than the other one down the street however, it still has a lot of room for growth. Considering, I went just as the store opened at 6 am. I expected it to be fairly clean. I was mistaken. There was random products dropped in various locations as if customer decided they didn't want an item and just dropped them wherever. One employee was very kind but clearly unhappy with some of management as they proceeded to explain to me as they rung me. It was very awkward but I listened. I try this location during prime hours to see if it's better.

Out of all the food lions in my area, this is the most pleasant one I've been to. This one is off of shore drive and Little Creek road. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. They have everything that you need here is not like the rest of them specially the one by my house off of norview in the one down by Military Highway by Target those two food Lions are the worst ones they have so I'd rather drive a little further to get good customer service!!!!! And to get all the items on my list. And the guy that does the grocery in the meat department or the seafood department outstanding I really appreciate that young man you helped me out a lot today. Outstanding service at this food Lion!!!!!👍🏿

The store is clean and stocked more than others. The reason for the two stars is their fresh greens. I understand that they need to be misted, but I think it's overdone. Everytime I buy them there, I end up throwing half of what I bought away due to rotting from being over misted and stuffed tightly on the display shelf. Now, the bundles have gotten much smaller and they haven't had mustard greens in weeks.

I frequent this location and never had an issue. Today I expierenced racial profiling with an associate that ive never seen working there before. The Hispanic/Latino women working the self check out today grabbed my groceries as I was helping my child check out and proceeded to accuse me of stealing. My items were still in the basket on the counter and had never made it to the bagging area. We were still checking out the first order so I'm not sure what made her think I was stealing. I guess because i look young for my age and black, she thought we were two teens up to no good. When she finally realized how wrong she was, she just stated that she was "just doing her job" and issued no apology. Can yall smell that? I smell a lawsuit coming.

It's pretty decent as well as a good value.They do a nice job at this Food Lion. It's a pretty well stocked store and most of the employees are reasonably good. It's definitely better than a 3 star rating. I'm not going to nitpick on issues I have with the store except one thing.I hate that the employees not only smoke right in front of the left entrance, but are also less than 5 feet from the propane tanks. Don't say I didn't warn you.Overall, it's a good store. Both meat and produce are above average. If you live in this end of Norfolk, it's probably your best option if you want a combination of quality and value.

I'm giving it 4 stars because it's Very close to home I can walk there if need be my only issue with this spot is the staff I've been going to the store in excess of 20 years and this younger generation Of staff at least some of them Or many of them Seem to be bothered when you ask them just minor things like prices and special clarifications Especially in this age of self check out you're pretty much doing everything yourself including bagging your groceries so I don't understand why they get so very aggravated when you ask small things This particular store needs to get those young people back to Manual checkout is just not a good environment and I often go to a different one on little Creek road just for that reason further away from home

Never have any real problems coming here to this location. The only thing I can say that is bad most of the time I go here is that the shelves are really low on items that are wanted. It's very busy during the day that's probably why but I think it was the most naked bread isle I had ever seen while grocery shopping ever.

The problem with This food lion on little creek & shore drive the ONE cashier that talks your head off while ringing up your groceries...by the name of 'Mr Fred' (as his name tag says). He Thinks hes a comedian but hes far from it. He doesn't just greet you and ring you up...he Never Shuts up about his life activities or an item your purchasing or anything uncomical and uninvited conversation. My family and I CRINGE when we go there (its in a convenient location)and he happens to be on the Only line open. I tried to call to speak to a manager but no answer. Mr Fred tone it down ..waaay down...no one goes there to hear all of that extra unnecessary talking and borderline edgy jokes that are no where near funny.

My favorite Food Lion in Norfolk. For whatever reason this is the only FL location that sells little quiches, which are perfect for 2 people to share as a meal.

It's okay. While quite large and well stocked, it has not lowered any prices enough to frequent. Other stores do have better prices. Produce is alright. Staff is about as friendly as you would expect for Norfolk. So there you go.

Kinda pricey for food, veggies are horrible they go bad fast and fresh cut fruit always looks sus. Better than seven eleven tho but what isn’t? 😂 the employee looked annoyed that I needed help but every other time everyone has been friendly, the whole service industry is down the drain

This was my first time experiencing a Food Lion. I was kinda surprised, it looked much bigger on the outside. I did notice that the prices on many of their items were a bit higher than a Wal-Mart's. In fact their prices seem to fall in line with a family dollar or General Dollar. The store was very clean and every employee that I came across was very friendly and very helpful.

This food lion is pretty much a good one! Self-chexk out or register is pretty clean the people in there I will have to say half a dozen one to another half of my rude cuz I hate their job but pretty much they had other half is pretty nice and helpful.

Small Disabled woman went in and bought a cart full. They closed the check out and told her she had to self check out. She explained she needed help and needed to use her wic. But they wouldn't help being close to closing. They made this poor girl check out the whole cart herself and self checkout wouldn't let her use her wick. So, she had to pay for all that wic stuff herself. Then it expired the next day, wasting all her benefits. Took her forever to check out all that whole cart by herself, and caused her to lose her wic, because it doesn't carry over. The night manager needs to care for his customers all the way until he leaves and should be ashamed of himself. I hope cooperate reads this disappointment. Very surprised, normally great experience at this location.

Love my Food Lion! This location is a minute from home. The store is always clean and staff are always waiting to check you out! The parking lot is well lit and clean. I love the fact that younger and older people work here positively contributing to my community! Special parking to honor vets! Hot food bar is Everything!

I went thru the 12 Items or Less line today. I told the cashier " I have more than twelve items".She said "I'm not counting". I loved her gracious reply.She was friendly, efficient and carefully bagged my groceries. Very pleasant experience. I didn't notice her name but my receipt is printed Cashier :0146.

Convenient location to the beach for getting the things you forgot at the other stores 😂. They also have homemade tortilla chips which are my favorite!One nice thing about this location is that they take Android and Apple pay. Save the time and just bring in your phone.

Meat section is not cleaned before putting new meat on the shelf. Recently went to grab chicken and it had the worst smell due to sitting meat juice under it. Deli section is always rude and the hot food is always filthy. Sad because this used to be my favorite location.

My favorite grocery store. It's a model Food Lion, and much nicer than other Food Lions that I've visited. Spacious aisles, and less crowded than other grocery stores in the area. The only downside is that there isn't a fresh seafood counter. However, they have plenty of frozen seafood.Edit:Booo! You appear to be transitioning to self checkout only.

The store is always super clean and the staff is super friendly. They have new reach in freezers and coolers for all the dairy and juices. It really adds to the easy to shop feel. Still love MVP and watching the total drop on almost every trip. Keep up the great work there guys!!
