Sometime around the timeframe of approximately the most recent Monday night was when my husband and I went to this Norfolk Virginia terminal boulevard/hampton boulevard location of Food Lion. My husband purchased treated me to some of the multiple items on our most recent grocery store trip: Juicy Juice brand of watermelon juice, Juicy Juice brand of white grape juice, Juicy Juice brand of apple raspberry juice, some bananas avocado spinach some Emerald brand of honey glazed cashews. The cashier handling our order had a pleasant and welcoming demeanor.

Deja, Bre and Jayden were absolutely wonderful! I was having difficulty understanding how to locating, acquiring and redeeming formula for my grandson and all 3 of them collaborated to help me through what could have been a stressful situation. They deserve recognition and raises because I am forever a customer and will tell others to shop at this location!

This is one of the nicest Food Lion grocery stores I’ve been to in the Hampton Roads area. The store was well kept and clean, and the cashiers were friendly. Like all Food Lion stores, neither the selection or the store is fancy, but this is better than your average Food Lion.

This food lion offers a large selection of products that vary in price from cheaper to more expensive. The food lion brand products are normally what I choose and they are very dependable products, they do offer certain products that cannot be purchased in store anywhere else in the area, and their prices are some of, if not the cheapest around this area. The establishment is very clean and the employees are always very helpful, friendly, courteous and respectful. All in all, this shopping trip was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Always have the random stuff in stock and whatever I need it's great. Dylan helped us out when we asked and was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Would recommend coming here 100 percent, some stuff even a better deal than the NEX which is nice. Thank you Dylan, keep up the great work!

Bakery selection is a little small. However it is one of the few that actually has chocolate, vanilla and marble cakes for purchase off the shelf. Bought some writing icing and added my own message for a cute "best wishes in your future endeavors" cake for a coworker who left to pursue another job. Staff is always friendly and store is always clean.

This location is small, so there are a number of things they don't have. But for everyday things, they've got what you need. Clean and well-lit, friendly manager and employees. Not as expensive as, say, Harris Teeter and maybe Kroger.

How I've been here so long and not gone here is beyond me. This store was so clean, so organized, and everyone was very nice. The cashier Louise clearly takes pride in her job and was very nice to me when i told her how much i appreciated the store. I've been going to a different local grocery store and leave miserable every time. Its always dirty there and people don't wear masks and are rude. Ill never go anywhere else now, not to mention the prices are so affordable. Thank you Food Lion!

The Food Lion here on Hampton Blvd is actually a go-to of mine if I'm not hitting the Wawa up right down the street. It usually has EVERYTHING I am looking for or need. The customer service is fantastic, and the employees are just one of a kind. So, do not be afraid to enter and get your shop on. And if you happen to like and agree with what I have to say, don't hesitate to get on here and leave a 5 star review, and talk about what it was you absolutely liked about it.

Updated review: Store is hit or miss, mostly the latter. They stopped carrying a variety of grocery and household items. Empty shelves in some areas of the store. The produce, especially lettuce and onions are just as bad as Wal-Mart. The staff are either nice or not. One cashier refused to scan my MVP card, so I ran it to through the scanner myself much to her dismay. Also the store has gotten to be just as expensive as Harris Teeter. I remember Food Lion used to be the affordable store.

I always enjoy your store, it is neat and clean and your employee are polite. However, I do have a question. Why did your store serve the two "Karens" I saw in line today? Neither were wearing masks and both were standing very close to the person in line in front of them. A child was running around, seemingly unattended. I should have gone to the store manager, but sadly didn't think of it until I was on my way home. Should I go to the store manager if it happens again? Has the store policy changed about wearing masks?

This has to be the best staffed and managed grocery store in the area. They do backflips to ensure enough checkout lanes are open. Store is always neat and orderly. Great grocery store without all the fuss like you get from the other pompous stores.

Bought a cake from their bakery only to open it two hours later with ants crawling around the box.They refunded me the costs but definitely won't be buying store made/packaged foods from them.

the location i always go to. kind and speedy cashiers, very helpful associates to assist you in finding what youre looking for. and the mvp card is free! theres always some kind of deal for an array of products and i love it! stop by for your next shopping trip!

I started going to this Food Lion when I moved over into this area and I absolutely love it, The staff are always very friendly and very helpful, they always have things on sale and the prices are very good. The store is very close very convenient and with the different hours I work the store hours are perfect. I absolutely love my Food Lion 👍

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I was with my mother checking out doing separate orders i had about 10 items and my mother had about 12 items. The store was empty and we were checking out and went to the express line being that we were doing separate orders the cashier Raniah told us she’s not taking us because she’s express not knowing that we had separate orders after telling her that and staying in the line Raniah started snatching stuff out of my hand as i was putting it on the belt and throwing my items in the bag all because she wanted to be LAZY she was throwing my bread in the bag with HEAVY bags of juice knowing that bread is supposed to be in a separate bag BY ITSELF. Raniah had a very NASTY NASTY attitude. After having a terrible experience with Raniah we proceeded to speak to Jackie at the customer service desk after explaining what happened she did not seem empathetic at all so we proceeded to get Raniah’s name because we were doing a survey and was refused her name! After going back and forth and finally getting the name I asked how to spell it Jackie proceeded to say she doesn’t know I then responded well isn’t there a schedule near so you can tell us how to spell it . Jackie then proceeds to get EXTREMELY NASTY and says “Im not giving you the schedule we aren’t allowed to give you the schedule you don’t work here” once again jackie starts going back and forth with me and my mother about a schedule when all we asked for was the correct spelling. I come to this store at least twice a week and i have NEVER had a terrible experience like this it was so bad that I told them to stop ringing up my groceries and i took my money else where! I will NEVER shop here again!

Clean store. Average prices. If you need low/no sugar items this is not your store. Very few on hand. Found NOTHING in bakery or ice cream. Got fried chicken and it was so stringy and dry I had to toss it. Good sale prices on "TV Dinner" type items.
