Store looks like trash, can barely walk through it. Had to walk around other isles because people are too slow and can't go around(there's freight everywhere).Also everyone is packed really close to each other... and the cashier was rude. Basically ordering me around where to stand and when to come to the front in a very commanding voice, not pleasant. I like the Dollar General in Oceanview Ave much better.

This place is always closed when you need something. The sign will say 4 pm to reopen and they never open. It’s honestly annoying. People have been waiting over 30 minutes trying to get in. I really feel bad for the people who walks here. They do this all the time.

Store is usually messy with shelves not stocked and a lot of times the isles are crowded with stock on carts that hasn't been put on the shelves. The employees are very nice and courteous every time I visit and it's very convenient to home. With all being said above, I keep going back because of the way the crew treats u so well!

They only carried the cheeseburgers, breaded chicken, and spicy chicken sandwiches by Fast Bites. Oh well, guess it's cheeseburgers for breakfast. 😃

Dollar General is one of my favorite places to shop. They usually have what I'm looking for and more. I buy most of my cleaning supplies from them. I also love their clearance rack. Always done good deals there.

Needs to be organized. Too many U-boats majority of the aisles. Fire hazard throughout the entire store. Store barely had any items in stock!Don't waste your time! Great customer service.

The staff has to deal with a lot. But one time my dog got out of the car and jumped into the back of another customer's car while she was putting away her groceries. When I tried to retrieve her, she peed! I grabbed her and put her in my car. The lady was soooo nice. I helped her clean her car and she wasn't mad. My dog did not pee on any of her groceries. Thank. God. Anyway, they got cheap jerky and so many other cheap, good products. I highly recommend. Especially if you're looking for quick, cheap munchies.

It us great to have a Dollar General within a few blocks of where I live. Their staff is almost always friendly (you can tell from a few of them when they have had a bad day, but they ARE human so I won't hold it against them ;-) ) Having a place to get last minute grocery needs is very convenient!

01/04/2023 330 pm. This store was disgusting. Trash all over. Empty boxes on the floor. Merchandise strewn about the store. I will not step foot in this place again.

Well is a newer store and it looks like they finally have a manager who know what they are doing. Before, everything would still be needed stocking there always was more product on carts that never had anyone restocking than on shelfs. If you cant keep your selves stock during open hours restock during closing and be ready to pull the curtains back when the doors open the next morning. To show off a while managed store.

Everytime I visit the Dollar General, I am amazed that in this day and age, and the economy, a place can offer all these items for $1. Don't get me wrong, there are some things after purchasing, I can see why they we're $1! But overall I recommend to everyone who is on a budget,who does not care about the best name brand items all the time, and there is even name brand items as well don't get me wrong, but the whole idea is saving money and finding what you need for $1. If you haven't been here I encourage you to shop here on your next store run. You will be surprised! 2 thumbs up and 5 Stars for Dollar General.

Employees (some) are rude. Stood at register waiting to check out, with me being the only one in line, I had to wait for the women behind the counter to finish their conversation before they would even acknowledge my existence. From then on, I've taken my business to the family dollar down the road instead.

This was my 1st time in this store since its been built and I love it. The isles are borrowing but the store is clean and welled stocked. I had a very good shopping experience. You have to go visit it. I think it's going to be the DG I will be going to for now on.

Honestly, this is the only dollar general near me that uses the DG GO app and the only one with sliding doors (with 2 kids and a cart it’s just easier) but other than that, this store never has anything I want to get on saturdays. The shelves are so empty, and it’s hard to maneuver the cart because there are so many stock carts everywhere. Least favorite store to go to in my area.

I received Horrible Horrible treatment from Ronald the manager!! This guy has an awful disposition and shouldn't manage a rock let alone an entire store! Where did they find this guy? Threatened me with police and told me to leave because he had an argument with a previous customer and I asked him to void my order because my digital coupons didn't come off!! Extremely rude and nasty! My five year old has better patience than this guy!!

This Dollar General shelves were empty but the product was on pallets in the middle of the aisles. Things were disorganized and all over the floor and the one employee they did have was sitting behind the counter texting and on her phone.

I usually love dollar general and shop at this location frequently. Although I got irritated with the staff in this incident, I know it is not their fault BUT their managers fault. I tried buying a $25 gift card there and they told me it had to paid with cash. I was confused and told them I was just at another dollar general location and bought a gift card with "gasp" a debit card! They said it was their manager that told them it had to be cash. Most people dont carry cash with them anymore, but whatever, I'll just buy my gift cards at walmart from now on. Peace out dollar general.

This Dollar General was a mess! The cashier was super. A lot of empty shelves. Many isles had boxes in them so much that it restricted access. Seemed like they needed some ppl to unpack those boxes, but the only person I saw during my visit (about 20 mins) was the cashier.

I go there often...i was just there...they are friendly but kinda slow with the freight..i know its hard with everything on...i have noticed there have been a few less here and there....but i understand...but on holidays they are really slow about putting up that frieght...but i have patience so I just keep going back n I will eventually see it all...

When you're in a hurry or you want to save money on something Dollar General is a good choice. Download the app and check out the coupons. Better than Walmart for certain things.

I usually only frequent this Dollar General when it's an emergency or when I really feel the need for rude, unhelpful, and general lack of care attitudes from store associates. Leaves much to be desired.

This place....ugh.... it's always a freaking mess in there. Products look like they are just thrown on the shelves, boxes everywhere, no rhyme or reason where things are located. I walked out and went to family dollar. Won't go back. Staff is nice though.

8474 Chesapeake Blvd #16503 No Stars! My daughter and I went to the hair product aisle. She has curly hair, so she's picky about what she uses. As soon as we get there an employee/manager named Eric, suddenly has to stock items directly behind us. She proceeds to test one product she was curious about, poured a small amount onto her finger. She didn't like it and put it back. Eric then leaves, as if he finished, but he just stands at the front of the aisle leaning on carts with a folded box in hand. My daughter finds another item, opens it and the nozzle in which you press to spray just falls off. She tries one further back and the same thing happens. She puts it back together and on the shelf. Eric was still there. Next, I assume he was asked what's going on or how his day was going, I'm not sure. He responds " I'm trying to figure out why these people on the aisle are using hair products". As you might imagine, my blood starts to boil. I then explain to him everything that happened with a few expletives sprinkled in and that if we would've bought it, we would then have to come back and return it. He replies, "Then I'll remove them when you leave." Blood still boiling, I fight the urge to react and just stare with the intent instead. After what seems like 30 secs of me staring and him trying to break the silence repeatedly saying "ok". He then walks away. Someone from another isle (I think the guy with the dog without a leash) yells "why are you being a D*#k." I replied "exactly" echoing that sentiment. To which Eric replied, "I'm not the one using abusive verbiage." I replied "abusive verbiage, I never said I was going to whoop your A%$ or f*#k you up. The only profanity I used was toward the items." He then says "we have it on camera everything is recorded." I approach Eric. He asked me to leave, to which I replied: " No I'm a customer, what is it that you don't understand." He says "No you're wrong, I will call the cops and I smell alcohol on your breath." That's when I asked the cashier for the District Manager's number. Neither Eric or the cashier made a move to give me the number until I agreed to call the cops. I assume he didn't want that cop call on file where he referred to customers as "these people." I tried reaching out to the district manager at 7:20 pm using the number he provided and received no response.

Cashier's aren't friendly and makes me not go there a lot like I used to... that's why I always say customer service is so important because you can lose a customer.
