This review is strictly based on the AT&T employees they are not associated with target but are harassing customers here to shop at target. A customer asked about an Amazon fire stick (assuming they were employed by target) and the AT&T workers said “I am not sure but what phone carrier do you have?” She told them she wasn’t interested and they continued following her down aisles being extremely high pressure to sell her something she was clearly not interested in.Target needs to take immediate action to get these annoying people away from their customers before the customers go elsewhere to shop. I counted 10 people in 20 minutes they harassed who clearly were not interested.

Worst Target I’ve ever shopped at. Placed an order for Drive up and waiter OVER AN HOUR for them to still not bring it to mycar. Went in the store to pick it up at the hour mark and the customer service girl was efficient at finding the order and getting it but then also just left it on a cart for me to get along with someone else’s stuff so I totally could have just taken someone else’s bag also. They need a serious revamp of the way their store is being run. I understand it’s a busy time of year but this is not my first time shopping at target or getting drive up when it’s busy so I can confidently say they seemed like they had no clue what they were doing.

Women's bathroom had explosive diarrhea in two stalls and staff said they know and nobody will clean it... Let them know the one of the two non-handicapped stalls is locked. They also said there's nothing to be done... I'm 6ft tall. The one women's stall that I could access has the toilet paper right next to the toilet in a way I couldn't properly sit down, and a wall on the other side. The apathy and disgusting smell of the drying fences coming from the restroom has me questioning if I would ever return. The line kept increasing and the customers tried to make light of the situation but staff truly did not care.

Please give Mason doing drive ups a raise. He was by himself for a good 15 mins and running to each car. Love the hustle!!! Great employee!!!

This is one of my favorite Target locations in the local area. The staff is always super friendly, sales and clearance is clearly marked, well stocked, etc. 100% recommend this Target location.

Finally started to enforce 10 items or less through the self checkout, which is great.... if they actually had the staff to keep more than 1 checkout lane open. Seriously, they were kicking people out of self checkout if they had more than 10 items, but only 1 very backed up lane was open. Great concept, terrible execution. For the amount Target charges, they can afford to hire staff.

This and other targets in Williamsburg and Hampton never ever have the baby registry welcome kits. If Target is going to advertise something it would be nice if they actually had it in stock.

Long lines at Newport News location. Last night I purchased a shirt and leggings from self check out. Walked out the store and both items had sensors and didn’t go off. I didn’t realize this until 11pm at night when the store was closed. I needed the items for work today. Awful store it has really gone down hill in the dumps. Food court sucks, no photo station to print pictures. I used to love Target. The insult to injury is my Target card expired 5/2023 and still haven’t received a new card that is loaded to my bank card. The store is the worst and will not be back.

Clean, organized, and you found everything you were looking for. This store seems a little small compared with other target stores, but it is way much more organized than the others. The team members are always polite and they are looking to help you with whatever you need.

Compared to the target in Hampton. They're okay Maybe I went at the wrong time but it didn't seem like the toy section was that stocked. I go into stores for collecting Hot Wheels. Not much else Most of times Target seemed pretty low tier on selection. Compared to the Target enhampton, their selection is very lacking.

Couldn't say it's better than any other target I've experienced. Half of the staff is either helpful or turn a blind eye to you being there. Also, they PUT BACK used cosmetics. Shopping here with the supposed 'ulta/Sephora' experience, it's a major biohazard...just gross.

One of my favorite targets I love a good target trip. It’s useful to be signed up with the target rewards granted they want you to spend X! Amount of money to actually qualify for $5-15 gift cards you get for using the rewards but it’s easy to rack up a hefty amount. I just love target period

How do you distinguish one Target from another? They are all the same, right? Probably. But they are near different things, and that matters. This one is next to a Play It Again Sports (used sports equipment), a Michael's craft store, a Barnes and Nobles, and a Bed, Bath, ane Beyond. It's a pretty standard Target. There is a Starbucks area and an eye doctor at this location. Side note: I'm sad Target got rid of their diner areas and most of their prepared food sales. The fresh popped popcorn was probably my favorite reason to go to Target.

Refusal to be allowed to use self check out because I had 11 items. I was sent to the clerk with 4 people in line. There were 4 available self check out stations. Next time I'll leave my basket of items so they can put them back.

I enjoy shopping at Target for their great selection of merchandise. The prices can be a little high however they have wonderful sales. Staff are friendly and helpful.

This used to be the 'good' target. Sadly it no longer is, not sure what's happened, but the last year this location is always is some sort of disarray, the bathrooms are almost always disgusting now, and the lines for self-checkout and regular checkout are long. Staff interaction has dwindled, there are a few exceptions, but overall its just not a pleasant place to shop anymore. I also hate the new layout, not shopper friendly. It's been giving very walmart vibes.

Target has always price matched my dog food. However this time the RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL CASHIER refused to price match it because she claimed it wasn’t in the system which is ridiculous. I’ve ALWAYS for the last 3 months had this item price matched. Where I normally shop they’ve had it out of stock. Definitely was not happy with her rude attitude & unwillingness to corporate and follow store policy. Will definitely be contacting the manger of the store and Corp if need be. This is my favorite Target. Usually the associates are kind helpful and knowledgeable. Not to mention I love the fact that they keep this store clean. This time the associate didn’t help this review at all.

Target in Newport News on Jefferson Avenue is one of the best Target stores in the Hampton Roads area. It has some beautiful merchandise currently. I could spend some money and time in there! My daughter and I had a good time in there over the weekend. Our family really likes it. We will be back!
