I stumbled across Puppy Palace after coming back in town from an emergency and our puppy sons needed a groom asap. Christy is so amazing and listened to my grooming needs for the boys. They are so nice clean and neat. I can see the nails cut and trimmed and ears plucked and that’s needed with doodles. The receptionist is sweet and the owner is so personable and nice. I thought I was talking to a customer not the BOSS! My ONLY complaint and it’s a major complaint!!! Is that Puppy Palace is so AMAZING! See you guys in 6 weeks and thanks so much for such a great experience and service for me and the pups.

Me and my Pitt Shaka come here every so often to get his wash, ears clean, and nails trimmed. He doesn’t necessarily enjoy it but I love it 😍. They alway get him done quickly and he never leave flaky and still shedding from here as he does leaving other places, that lets me know that they are actually brushing him after his wash! Oh and the last time we went that Christmas bandanna was the cutest thing !!

I absolutely love the palace spa! They take care of all my babies needs. They are always friendly and eager to help in any way they can. The place is always clean and welcoming. I love the quiet and warm atmosphere. A calm environment is needed for excited dogs and boy do they make it happen. The owner (Kris) is so down to earth and his crew is the same. I also love that there are treats and chews available. I try to purchase the bully sticks as often as possible for my Doberman and my Shepherd. This spa has been a blessing to me and my pack and I can easily and proudly recommend anyone there for a visit.

Highly recommend. Kristi is the BEST! She does a consistently super groom on my Pomeranian who has a massive coat. We take all four of our dogs to her.

I’ve never gotten my dog professionally groomed before, this is the first place I’ve taken him and he’s never going to be groomed anywhere else!!! They did such a wonderful job, the staff is extremely kind, they listen to what you want, they send appointment reminders and communicate when your dog is ready to be picked up. Love them!

I'm in love with this place after the first visit , Christy is great, she groomed my dog at another place and I couldn't find her when she left. I took my Teddybear to another groomer I won't say where but let's just say this he was a mess😟 I was so scared I wouldn't find Christy but I did, Puppy Palace is very clean friendly staff, fair prices, I recommend Puppy Palace! Teddybears haircut is baccck LOL

My dog is unruly. He's precious and I love him, but he needs a firm, kind hand in his groom. Mandy and the team have been my go to for a little over a year now. Nails are cut short without blood every time. Fur is smooth, even, and smells clean without overwhelming scent/perfume. Text message reminders to schedule and alerts when ready for pick up make running errands during the groom a piece of cake.

Our fur baby is very anxious and does not like being crated. Mandy groomed him to perfection in record time and instead of crating him she let him play with her puppy. He looked and smelled wonderful and was not at all stressed when I picked him up. We will be back and I highly recommend this Puppy Palace Spa.

I stopped in to get nail grinding for my dog Penny the other day. The first impression was great because I was actually greeted as soon as I walked in! They did a great job, much better than other places in the area! To add even more positives, the price was cheaper than I expected! It's refreshing to get a value along with great customer service. We will definitely only be getting Penny's nails done here from now on! Thank you!!

This is my first time coming here with my 4mo old German shepherd and I will say they made my experience here very light and easy. They provided me with everything I needed and guidance on the process. Their prices are VERY reasonable and the best part was I didn’t feel rushed to complete the groom. They did an excellent job on my little peanut Bandit. Bandit is a senior dog with some health issues but they handled my precious little dog with care. My dog was groomed to perfection. I'll definitely continue taking my dog to Rex and Friends!

Usually love this place but this last few times our pup’s hair cut has looked horrible. They also need someone to make sure they’re clearing the front of the shop of all the pet hair. When you’re leaving with your pup they end of covered in all kinds of different clumps of dog hair. Which not everyone can ,allergy wise, stand all breeds of dog.

Mandy does a great job grooming our dog. We had a bad experience at another groomer and our dog is reluctant to have her nails trimmed. Mandy is understanding and patient with our dog in order to trim her nails. The prices are reasonable and our girl always looks and smells great!

Absolutely loved this place and will be back! I have two rotties (115lbs and 95lbs) and it’s such a mess and hassle to bathe them at home. The prices are reasonable and the shedding treatment for my dog is magical! I did the self service dog wash and it was a fun experience! Support local small businesses!!!

Such a great experience! My dog Ferdinand is a very anxious dog but they went above and beyond to let him get comfortable and play with him before grooming. He was so happy and handsome when I picked him up!! Overall great management, grooming, and experience.

Just moved to Newport News and found this place. All I can say is wow. At first I was very nervous as I have never left my pups with anyone other than the vet. The staff here were more than happy to answer every one of my questions, the groomer was very kind and really took great care of my pups during their visit. Both of these guys were born and raised on a farm and really get funky playing in the woods and rolling around in strange things. When I picked them up all traces of funk were gone, they were so soft. Even the smoke smell was gone as I smoke around them. Hands down this has to be the best cleaning these guys have ever had. Thank you so much both me and my pups are so happy to have found this groomer and really appreciate the honest prices, kind staff, and the ability to wash them myself if I’d like. Again thank you from Patches, Sarge, and myself.

We were able to wash our own dog using Pawpular Pets' DIY dog bathing facility, which was perfect for our hound who doesn't like to be separated from his family. The staff was friendly and helpful. One staff member did a valiant job of clipping our dog's nails while we helped hold him still.We will return to Pawpular Pets Dog Wash the next time the beagle requires bathing. He smells so good now that he doesn't even recognize himself!

Fast, easy, great place to go! Great check in and check out process! They also sell bones, which my puppy loves! He smelt sooo good when they were finished washing him. They also put a cute little bandana on him at the end. Also, they have self wash diy which is pretty cool.

The staff is so friendly and very accommodating with busy schedules. My rambunctious bulldogs always enjoy visiting this pet groomer! The staff really cares about the well being of your pets. They smell fresh for about a week...longer than any other place I’ve taken them to. Definitely recommend!

Took my English Bulldog for a bath here. She loved the comfy sofa they had to wait her turn for a minute. The young lady there was so helpful and nice. She also was very knowledgeable with their products. I will definitely be coming back with the rest of the fur babies. Highly recommend pampering your babies here.

This was our first time at Rex and Friends Dog Wash. Our 85 pound Husky-German Shepherd needed a serious bath and nail trim. Thanks to the kind and caring staff our pup had a wonderful experience and came back smelling fresh and clean! His nails were the perfect length too. We will definitely be back!

This place is great. The people who work there are very nice, and take great care of your dog. I have a full grown Doberman who can make bathing him rather challenging because he’s so big and playful and they did an awesome job with him. We were able to stand with him the entire time while the guy washed and dried him. 10/10 service for a very affordable price. Would pick this place over any major pet store. After trying petsmart and other places who kennel your dog before attempting to groom them im super thankful i found this place.

We called on a whim Sunday 06/06/2021 morning to be fit in for a bath and nail trim... We were able to get in same day. The service only took about 25-30 mins total.. Our pup came back smelling amazing! we were very happy with the service, the friendly staff, responsiveness. We will certainly be returning.

I am in love!! Took my 95 pound lab, Finn, here for a self wash and was blown away with the service. I never write reviews but this was so good I had to share. My dog can be skittish in new areas and around strangers but was immediately relaxed by Rob working the front counter who showed me everything and set up the wash station for me. It was easy to get Finn in and out of the tub (which I was worried about as he’s a bit older). Everything you need is provided towels, brushes, wipes to clean ears and eyes, drying, shampoo, and an apron. When your station is set up it’s surrounded by panel dividers which helped soothe my dog too. At the end my back didn’t hurt and I didn’t even get wet! The place is clean and very pleasant. Thank you!Extra special thank you to Rob who was like a dog whisperer and so nice!
