Kyra (my puppy) had a great experience. Her groomer, Pandora, was wonderful with her. She was able to keep her calm (which I was never able to do) in order to get her face hair trimmed and nails cut. She also smells amazing! We will be back!

Pandora had great customer service. However, I just don’t like his cut. I felt that it was patchy in the side area with an uneven cut. Also he has a cut on the left side of his nose and on his belly near his genitals. This was his first full cut. However fur grows back and he’s still a happy puppy

We have been loyal clients with both of our dogs for 6 years, with no issues. Today we were refused service due to a NEW policy update that we were never made aware of. The policy that is non existent to clients, only verbally stated by their manager states that they will no longer accept dogs with a history of seizures if they are not on medication. Our dog does have a seizure 1-2 times a month, however not enough to be put on medication explained by the Vet. Our dog has NEVER had a seizure or any other issues with them. We have always been transparent with our dogs medical history and there has never been an incident in the 6 years we have been bringing her there. This grooming facility failed to communicate their new policy to their loyal clients. We are beyond upset and this situation could have been avoided entirely. There is a huge lack of professionalism and an undermining of quality in their service. We waited two weeks for their grooming service only to be turned around at their door. To fix this, they offered to schedule a service that would avoid her being put in a kennel. The manager stated she believes this will be less stressful. My dog has no issues with being in a kennel. This is not the issue. This would be a $14 increase to our current bill. This was their fix. We are absolutely devastated to lose our favorite groomer but this lack of professionalism and service to loyal clients is unacceptable. Thank you for wasting out time waiting for their appointment and wasting out time to drive them to your facility. We were always very kind and patient to your staff with exceptional tipping. We cannot believe how we were treated today. Absolutely appalling.

Kay was so sweet to our girls and put me at ease. Our pup does not like to get her nails trimmed so I'm always anxious about it but Kay treated her so well and kept her calm. It was the best experience we've had at a Petco. Thank you so much!

Rose was amazing with my girl. Her cut is awesome. I did have to trim a spot that got missed but I am 100% sure my dog was very wiggly. The staff was extremely helpful. Great experience.

I took my large English Lab in this morning to use the self services bathing area. Araceli checked us in and was very sweet and pleasant. Kay took care of my dogs nails while we waited for a bathing station to open up. Kay was wonderful with my Willa. One of the groomers helped me get my large dog up and into the bathing station and everyone was amazing with us and the other clients (dogs and people). I recommend this Petco Grooming to everyone. Willa and I will be regulars.

This was my first time using PetCo (or even being in the store). My groomer, Kay, listened to me before she took my dog back...listened to my concerns and promised to take it slowly with my dog if she saw any fear in her. When I came back to pick up my dog she explained all she did, and she stated how my dog (a senior at 12 years old!) had done extremely well. Kay showed concern and care, and I will use her again.

Petco has always been a cut above. I been bringing my ROTTI here since she was a puppy, 3 years ago, when I had her in Training class. I've always been pleased with the services. Vetco included. If it ain't broke, why try to fix it, I always say!

Found my groomer Rose there. My dog did not do well at a grooming salon, so I called a mobile groomer and met Rose. When I found out she no longer worked for mobile groomer I was very disappointed. Now I would have to find someone else who could work with my Mocha. Imagine my surprise when I saw Rose working at Petco. Petco has an express service for nervous dogs like mine, so Rose suggested we try it. I think because my dog was familiar with Rose and felt comfortable and safe around her, Mocha’s experience in a salon turned out to be great. Highly recommend Rose at Newport News Petco

The only reason we travel from one town to another for our 2 pet grooming needs is because of Araceli! Her sincere care and concern for our Sydney and Boomer is second to none!! Petco is extremely lucky to have her in their employment and we appreciate her so much!!

I saw lots of praise for this. The lighthouse is in the middle of a busy road. It's cooler to go down the road a block and see the art they did with a chainsaw on some trees! The beach is beautiful here as well

My dog was there for five hours and I paid for a haircut and pick three spa package. When I picked her up she looks like she only had a bath....no haircut....nothing else. I live in northern Virginia and had to leave early this morning to go back. I will never take my dog back to theNewport News store under any circumstances for a grooming. I wasted my money!
