Food lion is my choice of grocery stores. The MVP card and the deals that are provided to members are often quite substantial. The staff is very helpful, friendly and always kind. They have a wonderful selection of typical grocery store items as well as lovely fresh baked goods and a great deli.

Helpful employees.... They really do go out of their way to make sure your shopping experience is a good one. I have to use crutches to walk due to a leg injury. I utilize the motorized shopping scooter thing. Although it makes my shopping easier.... I struggle with trying to drive it, stear it, and select my items from the shelves, while simultaneously having to hold/carry/ balance my crutches.... Well last time I was there, I was super pleased when an employee took the time to run over and grab my crutches and put them at the customer service desk so I could shop without struggling with them. Super cool. Super thoughtful. It was refreshing... These days places have a hard time finding people who will really WORK. Customers trying to get someone to help them is almost impossible. I mean duties that they are getting paid for, nothing outside of their job descriptions. Most act like they are put out by you asking them for anything... or they don't know what or where or how to help you, or they just say they can't help you. The customer service days are over, places are lucky to find people to do their job, much less go the extra mile for their customers. But this food lion found some good ones.

As an experienced food industry worker (restaurants and food places that require food safety courses) I highly recommend watching closely to expiration dates as our managing systems are bottom of the barrel types (minus a select few like our night manager is epic as well as our store manager 😸 I appreciate both of them highly for doing what's right).Basically make sure the food items, bought from any grocery stores, are examined and not expired.... Bcuz how grotesque is that otherwise right?Smh if Krystal (Deli manager somehow - what a joke) & Tina (I don't like the high discrimination these females put out by the way) knew what they were doing they'd get their heads on right but oh well...Guess higher ups really don't care about their customers health and well being - just pump out those sales kids - really too bad 😔.

I attempted to purchase items totaling $15, and with tax it was $18. When I explained that something was wrong, I was simply told I had to pay what the register said.No management assistance was offered. When I said he needed to get someone from management, he said he couldn't do that and that I needed to just pay the total on the register.I told him no, that they could just restock it all, then walked out.I will not shop here again.Hey, if you keep doing this to people, you will all have to find a new job.

I love coming to this Food Lion! All the staff I have interacted with over the past 8 years have all been friendly.You can hear some of them singing while stocking.Having great conversations or even giving you knowledge about some random fact you didn’t know.If you need to know where something is they always help.Customer service desk is always friendly when you need to get money orders, and even the check out lines!I also love the fact they have multiple people at the check out lines instead of just one person!

First time going to this food lion since I moved to the area and this place has very polite staff. Everyone smiles, speaks, and even strikes conversation. I also have back problems, which of course moving made my back worse, I had an employee made sure all of my heavy items on the bottom of the cart get scanned so I didn't have to lift. I was very grateful, I didn't even ask her to do that! This place has great customer service!

Employees are friendly for the most part but poorly trained. The baggers need to know how to separate items instead of just putting everything together. When the deli has one closer it shuts down at least 30 minutes early.Dont even bother asking for something. Has really gone down hill in regards to customer service.

Okay so I get prices gone up and I will pay it but. It’s gross to see the price for the already cut fruit that sits there with mold growing on it . It’s the first time either. You may want someone to look at all your fruit and vegetables and remove the bad stuff .

Great sales here. I got Wise popcorn BOGO deal here last week. The white cheddar are my absolute favorite. Always in for a surprise deal no matter when you shop at Food Lion.

Store is clean and well-stocked, but customer service is poor. Cashier doesn't say "hello" or "thank you". The cashier last night started a conversation with another young guy while I was waiting for my change. I had to correct him to let him know that he needed to give me my change, and drop the conversation with his buddy. Poor training and supervision of cashiers.

I shop here often. The employees are always gracious and kind. The problem I'm having now seems to be less inventory and selection. In all fairness I'm not sure whether this is indirectly related to the limitations That we are all experiencing because of what is going on in the world. I have and will Continue to shop here.

I am very upset that I made groceries for bout 3 days straight spending between 80 and 100 dollars and the cashier did not inform me that my MVP did not work that they had used their card. I feel as if I lost money because I have the app that keeps up with my purchases and I earn rewards for shopping there. They said the power went out in the area and that their system was down. I feel I should have been informed at the beginning of my order.

I love my local Food Lion - my only 2 reasons for 4 and not 5 stars is that I wish they had a better meat and poultry program and a better supply chain when it comes to many of the necessary things. Other stores only a 15 minute drive seem to be able to put more products on the shelf.

Consistently the worst Food Lion in the area, if not the universe. There may be one that is worse, but I've never been there. I go here a lot, and while the staff is nice enough, you better check the dates on everything you buy...I mean everything. Terrible meat section filled with stuff going bad the day they want you to buy it...if it isn't expired already. If you bring a coupon, it needs to be ironed and laminated to get their machine to read it. Want baby formula? Bring a snack because it will take them 20 minutes to get it from the Fort Knox of formula. They recently "refurbished" it, which consisted of shuffling the items in the store to confuse everyone. I'll be honest, I will be back, but only because it is by far the closest grocery store to my house. I'd love to visit their website that is attached to the info on a Google search of this store, but, surprisingly, it's a bad link.

Everything is fresh and clean
