This is the Worst store ever! I would give it no stars if I could. I went into this store to return an item with a receipt. First of all there’s a guy at the register that barely speaks English that was just standing behind the register only random people up. A woman there named Michelle took me at another register talking about she doesn’t know her passwords, rings up my receipt to say she can’t return my item because I purchased it at another Family Dollar and I would have to go clear across town to return it. She claimed each store has different inventory. I take it she doesn’t know what’s she’s doing. I called the Family Dollar that I purchased from and talked to the Manager to be told that as long as I have my receipt, I can return at any Family Dollar. I then look for the item I already have and found the exact item. The guy decided this time he would take me at his register I show him the item and tell him this is the same inventory item and I want to return. He tells me I can’t return the item. I ask for his name and he told me he didn’t have to tell me his name and started laughing at me. Michelle then again said I can’t return at this store. I told her I talked to a manager at the other store and she said again I can’t return. I said to her that she doesn’t know what’s she’s doing and she snapped back to say yes she does. I’m so over this store and whoever left them to run it are stupid! I have never seen such Bad customer service in my life!

I went out of my way to come to this store to find Lysol and asking the rep I didn't expect to argue just by asking a question. She has a slight facial scars or condition on her left side of her face and the worst attitude ever.It wasnt neccessary or warranted.Just want to let her know that we are all going through this, and to take it easy and fall back and think before she lets go of the nasty remarks towards the customers that keep her and her coworkers in business.We can be in and out just as quick without her nasty attitude than with it.Prayers up for her and that store.

I usually like this location because they have more stock and sometimes different options. The clerks are a little inattentive and don’t pay attention but normally they’re alright.

Extraordinary considering the covid crisis. On this Saturday morning the store was well stocked with Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Clorox Bleach and Wipes ! Now that is truly making the effort with supply and demand. The store is Store# 11371@ 1119 Briarfield Rd., Newport News, Va. Super duper kudos to the crew. My Family Dollar !

I went into this location on Monday and they still had a sale sign up from the previous week when I asked the manager if she was going to honor the sign she told me no absolutely not. I left my basket full of items and walked right out the store. The manager at this location is very rude and needless to say it might be a convenient location for me to shop but I'll never spend another penny in that store as long as she's there horrible customer service!!!!! Emailed the corporate office about this ask them to call me 4 days later still no call received from them.

Everything is easy to find and it was organized very well. I love to shop at Family Dollar. Their products are cheaper than other stores but doesn't lack quality and I like that. The workers are very friendly and helpful

Have some of the best deals on top name brands, and make sure you sign up for coupons via your cell phone for extra savings. Still a new store, so staff is still getting it together but they are friendly and work hard to please their customers.

My wifd went to our Family Dollar on Briarfield Rd. in Hampton Va.She was buying cigarettes.She used a coupon for them.The cashier.a black woman. told her she was cheating the system.we love FamiLY DOLLAR BUT WONT BE BACK BECAUSE OF POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I was kicked out of the store followed around and accused of stealing for no reason i recently moves here with my family and i was profiles (probably because im a a teen) already the only reason i shop here is because i havent got my license and my mom is pregnant so i cant drive to a different location i live the stores but there is something wrong with the management at this location

This store closes its doors before the time it is actually supposed to close. The sign might say they close at 10pm, but they close before that, so don't even bother going.. it would be a waste of gas cause they won't let you in even if your 5 to 10 mins before 10pm... Its "THEIR RIGHT" to close when they want to.. Their customer service is rude and very disrespectful and I would rather shop somewhere else then continue shopping here.

This is a small store but it's packed full of an array of product. Good variety and staff are friendly and helpful. I like this location. 4 stars only because I get clostraphobic.

Just left there to get paper plates, the check out seemed like she was on drugs!!! Slurring her speech could barely talk!!!
