I have not been in a Dollar General in over 25 years, and when I visited this Dollar General I was astonished at how much it has improved and the much greater variety of products it now sells. The place is jammed and packed with lots of different products, so much that it's like a mini-Walmart of sorts. For its size, they have a great variety of foods and beverages, cleaning products, housewares, tools, hygiene and medical supplies, personal care items, batteries, electronic devices; kids playthings, clothing, diapers, formulas, and toys; kitchenware, and other stuff. The place was organized, clean, and the staff were courteous, friendly, and professional. They also have a FedEx pickup, where you can drop off packages here to be picked up by FedEx later, and they will give you a receipt for dropping such off. The parking lot is fairly large and has plenty of space. All in all, this place is great and surprisingly has a lot of stuff at good prices. I would strongly recommend visiting this place just to browse through the place and see the huge variety of stuff they sell and their low prices on such. Doing so will put Dollar General on your map as a place you can go for a lot of stuff at good prices, and will probably pleasantly surprise you and change your view of the store chain and franchise.

I stop in here at least once a week because it's so convenient. The store is always well kept up, and unlike many dollar-type stores, the aisles and shelves are nice and neat.There's a good selection of goods, especially seasonal items, and while their food offerings aren't amazing, I can often find something here without having to go to Food Lion.On top of that, the employees are nice and attentive.

Staff here is super friendly and it feels like a local market. They are getting more variety of inventory and it's great not to have to drive all the way into town to get essentials and groceries. Getting in and out is a little pain, the parking lot is small and if theres a delivery truck it can be hard to maneuver.

Love Dollar general, awesome prices. If I need detergent or lotion or any daily products, I make sure and stop in. Now their cigarettes are high but they have generic cereal for $1.25 and other great prices as well.Yes, I never miss an opportunity to stop in, perhaps the best deals you'll come across throughout the course of your day!

This store is not in the best of areas but the store has a better selection than many if its other locations. If you can deal with the prospect of getting solicited or robbed I'd make the stop. If you get weak in the knees at the thought of defending yourself I wouldnt take the risk.

My fiance went into the store to pick up some chocolate. When approaching the counter... and all of his items were rung up. The clerk proceeded to just push his things towards him without offering a bag. My honey told me to never ever bring him to this unprofessional and disgusting store ever again. I really felt bad because this was one of my quick stops when I needed something in a hurry. Sal you need to treat people better.

Shop here for convenience, not pleasure or preference. Store poorly organized and often appears cluttered. Staff not overly friendly, bordering unpleasant. Store not especially clean, and aisles are small making it difficult to navigate. Will not patronize when newer location opens in spring.

The cashier was just looking at her phone and texting while working in the cash. She barely made eye contact with the customers. Dollar General really needs to have a ghosts customer to realize this kind of service to the public.

I waited at the register for 20 minutes. She finally from the back. No thank you no nothing. I asked her about it. She casually said she was blowing up balloons like whatever. Oh okay bye bye

The employees seem to happy and will greet my husband and talk to him while ringing him up but will give me dirty looks and ignore me. Just down right rude.

Stopped by to get paper towels because I couldn't find any in Sam Club in Newport news . I was able to find double edge razor blades for only one dollar. That was a great find.

Everybody is so pleasant and it's so easy to find things and the workers are so helpful cuz I'm a little disabled and handicapped is beautiful when I go up there

The sign said all Christmas stuff 25 cents or less and the manager would not honor the sale sign and the manager and cashier was very rude and disrespectful. I would not recommend this place to anyone passing through it that lives in the area. I was traveling and next time will go to another store

Each time I visit Dollar General, the clerks are welcoming and friendly! The store is neat and I am able to find my items easily!
