We happen to find this gem as we were passing through. the service was great, our waitress was Miss Kathy herself. Kathy was the sweetest ever, she went above and beyond. Good selective menu.. I am a VERY picky person when it comes to food, I have zero complaints about this place! If we ever find ourselves passing through we will definitely make a stop by Miss Kathy's!

A small restaurant in town offering great food at amazing prices. They are very busy at times and service sometimes takes a bit longer. Don’t get stressed over the wait. Just relax and unwind.

Fantastic little spot for lunch! It’s in the adorable historic downtown area of New Market (but just a couple minutes off the interstate) and it’s located inside a historic storefront space. The food was great, prices are very fair, and service was excellent. There was a sign indicating they’re short-staffed but we still received excellent service. The food was mostly sandwiches, with a small town diner sort of feel. We got the grilled chicken salad sandwich, BLT, grilled cheese/soup kids meal. I would definitely come back and definitely recommend.

The fish was hard the bun was burned.The Chilli was burned on hot dogs. The fries was to hard to eat. The tea was old taste!We won't be back there anytime soon for real. Sad!!!

The food was alright. It reminded me of mom & pop restaurants from back in the 80's. Basic cheap everything. No wow factor. Sorry but I can't really recommend this place. I'm only giving a 3 star because the waiter was really great!

While down in Virginia to ride Skyline Drive on Motorcycles. We were looking for some good home-style cooking. Kathy's popped up on the search and we decided to try it. Kathy's did not disappoint at all. It was packed in there but they made room in the back for us. I believe we had the owner waiting on us. They were all so friendly and the food was AMAZING! I had the chopped steak with gravy with a baked potato. All the meals my group had were so good. I think it was the first time we all cleaned our plates. If you ever are in New Market you have to stop by Kathy's. Wish we could have some of it here in Delaware. Signed, Not a Leaf Looker. 🤣

We were looking for something not fast food...visiting from out of state...so glad this restaurant popped up the food was fantastic we had a party of 5 everything was spot on from apps to dessert...sweet tea best we've ever had...Kathy the owner was our waitress she was sweet and attentive...thank you Kathy for a fantastic lunch if we're ever in Your area again we will be sure to stop inYour Ruben was amazing and made the way Reubens are supposed to be made!Kid-friendliness: Plenty for kids to choose from

A nice little neighborhood Cafe in a beautiful little town. After hiking the New Market battlefield all day, my friend and I were starved. He had the liver and onions, I had the fried cod. All excellent. Our server Katherine was super friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

The food and service is wonderful and the prices are fair. We have visited several times and it always good. Look for the open sign because the windows are dark and we thought they might be close. Highly recommended!

For my first visit here at this restaurant I was very happy and pleased with the food and the service. The bacon cheeseburger I had tasted delicious along with the macaroni salad and potato Salad and lemon cake. The waitresses were very kind and considerate and have a great attitude. I was also very pleased with the affordable prices of the food they provided. And if I were you I would highly suggest going to this restaurant because I plan on going back as soon as I can even though it is in a different town than I live in.

Phenomenal service from the hardest working waitress in Western VA, unbeatable prices, and a BBQ sandwich with chili cheese fries that knock your socks off make this hole in the wall one of the best places I've been in recent memory.

Ordered burger and fries. Really flavorfully home cooked burger. Was delicious and 🍟 were also fresh and not oily or greasy and no salt added to them. Highly recommend their food and pricing is very reasonable.

Kathy's is a small cafe, serving great food. We visited Kathy's on Friday yhe 13th. There were probably 10 tables in there. We each had some sort of sandwich that was really good. Most of the sandwiches are served with chips and a pickle. Some come with fries. They do serve some entrees. Have different desserts, some are homemade. I, would highly recommend eating at Kathy's for that down home flavor. Kathy's is only open for breakfast and lunch.Parking: Parking is located on the street in front of Kathy's. Depending on the day or time depends on how many available spaces there are.Kid-friendliness: When I was there, it appeared to be senior citizen time. The menu is for adults and children.Wheelchair accessibility: A wheelchair can be taken into this place.

We found this place by chance and stopped in. It's situated on a cute little street lined with old houses and businesses. We ordered the fried bologna sandwiches with chips. They were good, but make sure you tell them "light" on the mustard or none at all, as they will arrive slathered with it. You'll get plenty of people-watching opportunities with the local patrons who sup here. The waitress was an attentive, diminutive lady who worked the room and the register.

I am a VERY patriotic multicultural American that has traveled the world and love supporting local establishments. I LOVE waving our flag and stand for our anthem. As we walked in to this small cafe the entire place froze into silence and stared us down. I resisted the urge to leave even as I noticed confederate flags covering the walls. This was the most uncomfortable dining experience I have ever had! If you are not a local, you will feel very unwelcome here.
