I had high hopes for this establishment as it was AAA rated. I towed my car here (2hours away from my home) while on a road trip my car was not accelerating about an hour and a half into the drive. I called the next day and was told that I needed new tires and new brakes, but nothing else was wrong. When I asked about the root cause of the issue I was told that no codes popped up and so there was nothing wrong with the car. I explained that my check engine light was not on so it would not show any codes, but they assured me they checked and test drove the car. I called twice more to confirm it was good to pick up as I was scared to drive it back the 2 hour way home and AGAIN they told me the car was fine. When I got there, the lady at the front desk told me that the car NEEDS new tires and that it is nowhere close to needing to be traded in. On the way home the car DID THE SAME THING AND STOPPED ACCELERATING. We nearly got into an accident driving it home and was so scared. Fast forward a week, we took it to a local mechanic who was very thorough and in an hour they were able to tell me that my transmission was shot. I am now having to buy a new vehicle. This was the worst mechanical experience I have ever had and I put to much trust in this establishment. AAA should reconsider towing cars here.

Great! Helped us siphon gas out of our van we accidentally put in diesel. They towed our van and worked on it the same day, and did an excellent job. We are not from the area, but they treated us with kindness and the price was very affordable. This is one of the most friendly and reliable mechanic shops we’ve been to. — thank you so much

Never again, ever. Lost brakes yesterday. Broken brake line. Left it at Moe's although they said they couldn't even look at it for a week. Found another shop able to get it done tomorrow. Went back to Moe's to pick it up today and the front fender and driver side door were covered with deep scratches from a dog. I brought it to the attention of the service manager and it was too much trouble for him to even come outside to look at the damage that occurred while in their possession. What do you think of the chances that I'll ever go back there. Would you?The irony of it all, is that I was planning on using them for more extensive work before this breakdown occurred. They came highly recommended by personal friends and AAA. Also when I travel or vacation, I prefer to patronize local businesses.I wasn't upset that they put me off for a week for a for a minor repair. One hour labor. I was amazed that they would leave me stranded for a week 160 miles from home and yet they are a AAA provider. I terminated a 40 year membership with AAA that day and they have Moe's to thank for it.I wasn't upset about the damage that occurred while in their possession. "Stuff" happens.I brought this damage to the attention of the service manager before I even left the premises and he refused to even step outside to look at it. Just a fast and furious denial, like Bart Simpson's "I didn't do it!"I at least would have went out to look at the damage even if only to seek evidence to support denial of the allegation.If he had come out though, he would have seen as I did that the muddy cat footprints on the hood, windshield, and roof, the muddy dog footprints that accompanied the scratches all along the driver's side fender and door were still fresh. The truck sat in their lot for 24 hours and it's not likely that the damage occurred "somewhere else" as the footprints would have dried in 24 hours. THANK GOD I didn't leave it there for a whole week.Update, Took it to Libertino in Chincoteague at quitting time on Thursday and it was finished at lunchtime Friday. Excellent work, very reasonable, and nothing damaged. Five Stars to Libertino.

I made an appointment for an alignment and brakes but when I get there they told me I was an half hour late so it might take a while..how about 3hrs🤨than they tell me they don't have the right equipment to align my truck after I paid you guys $354 for brakes&rotors..I know I needed it done but the one main thing I wanted done they couldn't do🤷🏽♀️&that's my alignment!!! #NOMORE

very clean facility, been using them for several years for state inspections. very reasonable labor rates and they had me in and out for oil change in a hour. will be returning. great job!7/18/23-great service today. recently purchased new tires (from another shop) and had developed some vibration at higher speeds 65mph +) took to another shop and had rebalanced but still didn't feel quite right. took to moe's and requested aligment be done. 2 technicians road tested my vehicle, and they even allowed me to road test to make sure i was satisfied. it ended up not needing alignment and they re-balanced the tires again and they seem to be riding much better. when the said to me, "i don't want to charge you for something you don't need". that was a very good thing to hear. great customer service.Service: Oil change

My family and I were leaving Chincoteague Island from our week long vacation, and my tire pressure light came on, showing only 16 PSI in my rear tire. I stopped at a gas station and found that there was a nail in my tire. Since I didn't want to chance driving 4 hours home with the nail, a kind man at the gas station pointed me in the direction of Moe's Service Center, and I'm so glad he did. They were able to service my car within 30 minutes of arriving. They were able to put a slightly used tire on my rim so that i didnt have to drive with a spare donut tire all the way home.The best part though, I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg! I was very impressed and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Quick to help. Have gotten multiple oil changes here for 3 different vehicles, its cheap. Only had one problem throughout my experience with them when my dipstick was broken after it was serviced with them. (Which is why i gave 4 star) Friendly staff, Shane at the front desk is always very helpful. Had a blown tire the other day, got a new tire for cheap and put on my car in less than an hour. got me back on the road with no problems :)

Just a tourist with elderly mother given a rental car by Avis with old, weak battery. Moe’s was my ‘hail Mary’ on way to Salisbury airport to trade it for better. Not only did they answer my questions about the battery issue -on the spot- but also checked the battery & speculated about the potential problems. No charge. Ended up resolving w/out having to drive for new vehicle. Overall just so pleasant & accommodating. Really grateful to them. Thank you Jennifer & Tom for coming to our rescue!

These clowns inspected my brakes a month ago and now I'm sitting at another shop faced with an $800 repair to replace the entire rear braking system, calipers, pads and rotors because the pads disintegrated while I was driving.. Called Moe's and spoke with the unprofessional idiot of a manager who likes to talk over people and her excuse was that Virginia only requires a 2/10 on the pads to pass inspection and mine had a 3/10 when it was inspected only a month prior. They didn't even bother to tell me that the pads were that low. Absolute morons, seriously contemplating contacting a lawyer at this point. This is after my previous experience where they lied to me about suspension components needing replaced and tried to steal $500.

I was surprised at the quality of service and the professionalism of the staff. Very clean waiting area. Price wise , we'll better than a dealership. My vehicle is still under warranty, but for oil changes and tire rotation. I will take it to Moe's service. Very happy with the quality of service.

Very friendly atmosphere as soon as you enter the door. They also let you know before any work is done on your vehicle if there is something major wrong with your car and they are very very excellent on alot of prices for fixes and such. Just give them a call and ask. I'm definately gonna return there.

I came in for oil change and to have someone take a look at noise in back of car near tire, was told will have oil change completed first then take a look at it. Front desk came to me in lobby and explained I needed front brakes and eventually tires for front. I'm thinking awesome and told him do service. I first asked are you sure and I recently purchased used tires from there in April, should I need tires this fast even if they are used. Went to office manager and stated since used it's nothing they could do. I complied. So after service was completed,I left and while driving I continued to hear the noise. I turned around and went directly back and explained I still hear the noise and I'm not sure if it was completed correctly. I do understand that I would need brakes but that is not the service I came in for.Myself and front desk went to speak to office manager, she stated she will have a guy ride with me to hear it and immediately he knew what it was. He explained it was a wheel bearing and it is not safe. I then asked why would they say I needed front brakes if I specifically asked about rear of vehicle. He was also upset because you could easily hear it and stated I should get discount because I did not come in for front brake service, I could have declined the break replacement at the time and received the most important service done first. The two gentlemen was trying to work it out and apologized but the office manager had me in circles. Made it seem like it was my fault they didn't do the correct service for what I originally came in for.The money and cost was not an issue it was the service that I needed done originally was not done. I feel like I was a woman and didn't know about a vehicle I was used and it is not fair to women. I am not an mechanic and I am a regular customer and this is not the first time this has happened to me at this business. You should be ashamed of yourself for doing this to people. Think about the people who don't speak up or know about vehicles!!!

Derrick literally saved our night! While out to eat on Chincoteague, we had a car key mishap. Called AAA, which connected me to Moe's. The lady who assisted us on the phone was also so helpful, patient, understanding and kind. Derrick was very respectful, communicative, funny & kind during his service, and I super appreciative of that! Moe's 110%+ recommend!

Moe’s service center and towing in New Church VA. HORRIBLE! On 4th of July weekend my boat trailer axle broke. Service manager John quoted me a repair price of my boat trailer with the understanding that NO OTHER WORK will be done without my expressed permission. (NOBODY called to request permission to do extra work) When work was done price was HUNDREDS more than the quoted price. Their explanation was extra work needed to be done to repair/replace my trailer lights that were “all messed up”. I have video proof when they picked up my trailer (I have a picture AND video with my boat and trailer on THEIR ROLLBACK) showing they were NOT “all messed up “ but they insisted on charging me anyway claiming they had to all be reworked. Service manager and I went out to trailer and I showed him my video and pictures proving these were the same lights and he agreed that they are the same lights but insisted his mechanic told him he had to do the additional work. The general manager, and I did not get her name, was rather snotty, argumentative and basically said that’s what was done to your trailer. She would not even look at video. The service manager did take approximately $100 off the bill but I feel that I have been ripped off for work that was “supposedly done WITHOUT my permission.” The light connections have the same electrical tape and conduit I used when I installed these new lights less than a week before the axle broke. All the wiring was run INSIDE the main body trailer tubing and nothing was exposed around the wheel/axle therefore it would be IMPOSSIBLE for the wiring at axle to be affected) The quoted bill was approximately $1140 but in order to pick up my boat I was forced to pay $1329.86.This experience has taught me I will never use this company again and I will also (if asked) tell anyone about my experience and should they ask for my opinion I will tell them not to use this company as well. I have no problem paying the original quoted amount for work that needed to be done. My complaint is they claim to have done more work which added additional cost to my bill without ever consulting me first. On merely what I consider principle, after speaking with my attorney, I plan to file in small claims court. I will show the judge my video and picture proof so he/she can decide what is right. This really is not worth my time and effort for a hundred+ extra dollars but it is the principle I feel I should stand on. Fortunately I can afford this but what about customers that are not in my financial position? That is the reason I have taken the time to write this review and my decision to pursue further action.In conclusion when I started towing my boat home the trailer is not “tracking” straight. It is pulling heavily to one side. So now I will need to have that corrected. Overall a really bad experience with Moe’s.Service: General repairs & maintenance

My bf just left, he had an 8am appt to get his breaks fixed bc his break light came on. Then why would his 2 hr appt come back with diagnostics of anything and everything that could possibly be worked on the car but never actually fixed the breaks. He shouldn't have had to pay for a diagnostic appt if thats not the type of appointment he requested. You owe him back his money or at the very least actually do the job (breaks) that was scheduled. Waiting area was cold a day my bf had to sit and watch while other customers who obviously couldn't have the opening (8am) appt recieve assistance and get their car fixed an leave well before him when he specifically requested 1 thing to be looked at. My complaint is they poked (not repairing) around in his car for 2 hours which added additional cost to his bill without ever consulting him first, nor fixing the initial issue, the breaks. He has to leave with his break light still on bc he has work to make it to on time which is why he scheduled the appt for early in the morning at the time that they first open.

These guys are the best. In our first outing with our diesel RV, we filled half the tank regular unleaded (green handle confusion). Anyway, we realized our bonehead mistake at the pump and started calling around for help. After a night at the gas station we finally were able to contact Elaine at Moe's and she was an Angel. Within 20 minutes, a flatbed was there, loaded up our RV, drove us to Moe's, and started working on our mistake. They drained the tank, added 10 gallons of diesel, made sure everything was functioning properly and got us back on the road within a couple of hours. They did it all at the price of a flatbed tow in our neck of the woods! They are the best and both Elaine and Amber took really good care of us. This place is the real deal and we are so grateful to have found them.

Moe's has taken over as one of the best on the Delmarva Peninsula. I had 4 tires replaced, FREE WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITH TIRES, And Synthetic Oil Change with filter. Out the door at 535 dollars. The tires are top quality at a super price for low profile 18" tires. Friendly and Courteous Staff. Caught a problem with my rear brakes and rotors , probably saving me money as well as me or my wife's life. Beware of this company. 23 years dealing with auto shops professionally and this company has no respect, compassion or caring for their customers. I suggest anyone not do business with them.

Will never call for auto repair or service again!!!First experience was great. Dropped vehicle off on Thursday picked up following Tuesday. However, they picked up our Chrysler that needed a fuel pump..had it for over 7 weeks, when I questioned them about it..I was told if it was taking too long I could come get it!!!! Poor customer service! Had someone go tow it back, dried grass and mud where it had been sitting outside. Parts and packaging still on seat where we left them. WILL NEVER CALL FOR SERVICE AGAIN!!!!!

We were on our way to the Outer Banks when our low tire pressure sensor came on. We called Allstate Road Service and they couldn't find any garage to assist us so we called AAA. They texted me that the driver would reach us at 7:30 pm. Derrick showed up at 7:10 pm. He tried for over an hour to get the tire off, but the lug nuts were swelled. He towed us across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge which was over an hour from where we were stranded, found us an animal friendly hotel, and dropped our vehicle at Pep Boys with a note informing them the service our truck required. He was professional, courteous, and all around awesome!! Thank you for your assistance!!! Wishing you the best.

Staff is friendly and courteous. I dropped my jeep off here to get tires mounted and balanced. They have excellent service, just one thing I had an issue with is that one of my lug nuts apparently broke when the tech was taking tires off , they replaced it but never called to inform me that the lug nut was replaced. Would have appreciated a phone call before they called to tell me my vehicle was ready.

I am not sure why the front desk lady had the audacity to have an attitude be disrespectful and say if you don’t like our services don’t come back and walk away with out even hearing us out or saying thank you. Us not liking the services done was NOT the case it was bad communication all the way around. She was rude & the business DID NOT make a phone call to confirm the charges but she claimed she did no proof though but we could of had a better deal elsewhere and that’s a fact. We were locked out of our car during a visit to Chincoteague. The AAA roadside service system was ridiculously delayed, so when my service order was finally placed, it was past midnight. The AAA dispatcher connected me to Moe’s and they came right away, around 1:30am. Very kind and friendly driver, and I appreciated the prompt service literally in the middle of the night!

My car had an AC issue that was difficult to diagnose. I took my car several times to Moe's where they tried hard to determine what was causing the problem. Finally, the AC went out altogether and they told me I'd need to replace the system. But, when they worked on it, they found the problem and made a much less costly repair. I appreciated their honesty and ethical business practices very much. And I am also very impressed by the professionalism and courtesy of the staff there. A completely satisfying experience and I am so grateful they were able to get the job done.Services: Air conditioning, Oil change
