Great little IGA for the area. Staff is friendly enough. Prices are okay. Isles are NARROW. Always check the expiration date on what your buying and don't expect for prices to be marked on beer and other goods. Other than that it's a good store where you can find most any grocery items you need.

I love this place. It's a tiny grocery store, but it pretty much has everything you need and it's independent.... Not owned by one of the big corporate grocery store chains. So I don't mind spending my money there to help out. The night cashier is always sweet and chatty.

This is the closes full grocery store 10 minutes from the Winter Green Resort. They have a fresh fish market attached too. There were a lot of options. They even had almond milk which is something you expect in a bigger city grocery store. However they didn't have oat milk which was what I was looking for. Easy parking, quick check out. Great way to stock up on for the cabin homes if your vacationing at Winter Green.

A decent selection with an old time feel before we super sized our markets! They have a good selection or regular market items line dry good, fresh meat, and dairy as well as so.e very odd eclectic items. Worth the trip if you are in the area.

Such a rip off! It's great to have a grocery store in the middle of nowhere but they definitely take advantage of it. I was just charged 2.75 per avocado! Over $8.00 for 3 avocados! They also make sure to not show you the price until checkout. This is an amazing area, stop taking advantage of people!

It’s conveniently located but a tad overpriced and I was appalled at the meat section look at my pic of the brown meat they were selling. Absolutely disgusting

There are not many options when it comes to buying groceries around the Nelleyford's area on 151. Don't expect anything fancy & trendy as behooving the Wintergreen crowd. It's a simple, aging, unkempt small town grocer w adequate selections found amongst partially opened boxes crowding the isles and unsupplied shelves. In a pinch don't overlook the IGA.

This is one of the best nicest neighborhood grocery stores I've ever experienced. I love them they're always super sweet and accommodating and they have so so many options. They carried gluten-free they carried natural they carried an amazing wine selection. They're just great.

If you haven’t been recently, you should go. I have found items here that I couldn’t find elsewhere. Love this store! Super nice people. The meats are excellent and great produce. Excellent frozen food selection. Would like more upper end ice cream. Great great store.

They help community just being there. Had difficult time when scanner read incorrectly. Trying to manually look up items on computer took time, so I got out of line so 8 people could run thru. Could use system upgrade for sure...BUT, would add to cost of groceries overall.

If I could give 6 stars I would! We’re from out of town and came by just to get water but after looking at the selection ended up leaving with two full bags of goodies. We’re vegan so we set low expectations on plant based options but here, we found cool stuff that we’ve never seen before along with our staple items we keep at home.Even outside of vegan options they have a lot of organic, healthy items to choose from. I mentioned that to the cashier and she laughed and simply said “people request it so we get it”. I think that’s so awesome that they listen to their community like that.I’ll definitely be back for more!

Can't give zero stars, but I would if I could! Totally filthy... expired meat, moldy bread, no prices on shelves, no produce, boxes stacked in aisles blocking access to products. Ground beef was dark gray. 'Reduced price' meat bin was literally just a bin of rotten meat. Felt like a fever dream... couldn't get out fast enough! 😂

The employees are always very helpful and friendly. For a smaller grocery store they have some unique and good quality items, organic products... But a lot of shelves/items don't have prices on them

I like the deals on meat. And there are some things they have that I can't find at other stores. I live 30 mts away from it. But its worth the trip for the deals and the items I want that I can't find locally. And There friendly. So I make special trips to go out of my way just to do a little shopping.

It's a centrally located in rock fish valley and a proud store for the local population. The variety store comprising every item of house hold need that too on reasonable price. Vegies are fresh, meat products both raw and cooked are available, poultry & milk products are in abundance, bear wine match the taste of the area, seasonal fruit are always healthy & fresh, washing, sanitation, sanitizers of the kind are competitively priced.Staff is helping, co-operative Nature & feel gratified to serve the customers.Opening. At 7.00.O'clock till 10 pm. Wide open parking space in front & docking at the back.

Pretty good selection for a small store. Essentials (soap, shampoo, etc) are lacking but friendly customer service makes up for it. Definitely worth a quick stop.

What a gem!! It doesn’t look like much on the outside but there’s a huge selection of organic and gourmet snacks, local wines and brews. I’ve never seen so many choices of chocolate bars and fever tree tonics.

Has a small selection of most grocery store items. Produce looks okay but there's not much to pick from. It's a small store and the aisles are narrow but it has lots of stuff. It is good if you are vacationing in the area.

I'm happy that I have access to this store. Gladys is outstanding in every way and is warm and welcoming. There is an amazing choice for many items and categories of shopping. They are accommodating and will try to order products at the customer's request.

Always stop here to get locally baked bread. Goodwin Creek Farm and Bakery sells their assortment of baked from scratch bread as it's my first stop on my way to Wintergreen. Great little local grocery store that will send you back in time when grocery stores were small and friendly without all the frills.

I mean, it's convenient if you live nearby but the place is in serious need of an update and thorough cleaning. Would not buy food made there... I've seen the kitchen...Prices are good for retail items though.

Very disappointed in this place, for the only grocery store for miles it leaves much to be desired. Never go here for produce unless you're looking to stock your compost heap. Everything was bruised, moldy or wilted. Seriously they need to get fresh produce... Even much of the canned goods section had dents in it. They are often out of the one thing you're looking for. I'd sooner drive 45 minutes to Charlottesville than go here but it'll do in a pinch

Good small grocer better than convenience stores but you are going to pay more than say Kroger's but it is in Nellysford, close and convenient. I have shopped here for years. They are friendly. There is a deli in store.

I got a reduced price while chicken there and when I opened the wrapping, it was rotten!!! I have asked them to mark down meat that is 5 days or more over the sell by date and the Manager told me he had to wait on the owner? He put it back on the shelf and said the owner would be there tomorrow. Really? I am shopping today. Do not waste your time or money there.
