We had a great time!! The park is well maintained. Beautiful views along the drive thru safari. Perfect place to take your family, a classroom, or team outing. Many opportunities to interact with the animals. Multiple areas to sit and relax, and enjoy the scenery. Will definitely go back. Went with our 7 year old granddaughter, and she loved it!!!

We visited here two decades during our honeymoon. We returned two decades later this time with our children and it still did not disappoint! So much fun seeing all the beautiful animals spread out throughout this massive park. Most of the animals are quite friendly and not afraid to stop by. Definitely worthy of your visit. Highly recommend visiting here.

My visit to the Virginia Safari Park was an absolute delight. At $30 per person, it may seem a bit pricey at first, but the experience is well worth it. The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the drive-through safari, where I had the opportunity to feed friendly animals up close from the comfort of my own vehicle. One tip I'd offer is don’t use all the animal feed at the beginning, so that you can enjoy feeding the animals throughout the entire drive. It's a small detail, but it made a big difference in prolonging the enjoyment of the experience.Additionally, the safari park section offered a chance to see even more animals and birds, adding further value to the visit. From start to finish, the Virginia Safari Park provided a memorable and immersive wildlife encounter that I highly recommend to anyone in the area. It's definitely worth the drive and cost for a day filled with unforgettable moments and close encounters with fascinating creatures.Kids, in particular, will love the thrill of feeding the animals right from the car windows, making it an experience they will cherish it for years to come !!

The Virginia Safari Park has EASILY become our new favorite family fun spot! Our 2 year old thinks it is absolutely beyond magical! The animals are all so beautiful! We had never been before until they opened up for the season this year and we are beyond happy that we came! We ended up buying the season passes and make an hour+ drive without a second thought!Thank you for having such an amazing park where we can make memories that will last a lifetime!

We had a great time at the Safari park. Tons of animals and interactive with them during the drive through tour. It was raining but no one has control over that. The staff were friendly and helpful with any questions. My only suggest would be having a sign about half way through the drive letting you know. We were concerned about having enough feed for the animals at the end. Started to ration but we didn’t want to have left over at the end.

I got so much more than I expected. There were many animals in the drive-through. It is a very interesting terrain to drive and animals are everywhere. Don't use all your animal feed at the beginning as there are animals throughout the drive. Then there is the safari park where you walk through to see more animals that are penned. Access is so great, you can get so close to the animals. We had a very enjoyable visit. One of the best parks of this type we have been to. You will enjoy.

Wow! This was an amazing experience! My family and I loved being able to drive through and see, pet and feed all the amazing animals. There was an amazing selection of animals. Once you pay you can take your time and go through, which just added to the wow factor. My family and I all had an amazing time! They also have a gift shop and safari village you can walk through, however we say the safari drive through was the best part.

Tons of great animals, many of which you can feed or touch! Really good for families. Car or tram options give you more freedom as well as safety. It was really fun and my family enjoyed it a lot. 3 stars because the buckets of food are expensive, especially with the high price of admission, but overall really great and I do recommend it

Virginia Safari Park: An Adventure Worth Revisiting!I want to share my experiences at Virginia Safari Park, a place I've happily visited two years in a row and would eagerly go back to again and again. The park offers a unique drive-through wildlife adventure that's exhilarating each time. Picture this: you're in your own car, immersed in a world where majestic bulls might just 'wave' at you at the entrance. It's this blend of thrill and closeness to nature that makes each visit unforgettable. But the real game-changer? Their special animal feeding sessions. These aren't just typical animal encounters. They offer an opportunity to feed and interact with extraordinary animals like sloths, penguins, and even rhinos, depending on the season. These experiences require an extra charge, but they're incredibly special and worth every penny. For those considering a trip, here’s a tip: a single day is enough to fully enjoy the park. It has all the facilities you need, including places to eat, restrooms, and shops. If you’re interested in special animal feeding sessions, like with sloths or penguins, check the times and book in advance, especially if you’re visiting over a weekend. As a bonus, if you’re planning a two-day trip, staying at the Natural Bridge hotel nearby is a great option. You can visit the Safari Park one day and explore the Natural Bridge and caverns the next. It’s a fantastic way to spend a weekend, especially for families with kids over 10. They’ll love the animal interactions and the natural beauty of the area.A key tip for anyone planning a visit: check the park's feeding and seasonal calendar on their website and book these special encounters in advance. Spots fill up quickly! I learned this firsthand – when I checked a week before my trip, spaces were almost gone. These unique moments are in high demand, so planning ahead is essential.Whether you're a first-timer or a returning visitor like me, Virginia Safari Park offers a fresh, thrilling experience each time. It's a place where both the young and young at heart can connect with nature in an extraordinary way.All in all, Virginia Safari Park is a must-visit. It’s a place where both kids and adults can have fun, learn, and make lasting memories.

Don't hesitate, it's worth the money! This park is so much fun. Buy lots of food buckets, skip the giraffe feeding (too expensive and the giraffes didn't show). The animals are beautiful and friendly... llamas chasing you in the car is a pretty surreal experience. The parakeet aviary was great too. Our kids loved it, but it's a fun day even for just adults. I'd go by myself just to laugh like that again. Absolutely recommend

This was such a great place to visit! We went on memorial day and they were still open. Despite being the holidays, it was not crowded at all. We went through both the drive through safari and the zoo. There were deers, lamas, pigs, oxes, zebras plus other animals I don't know the name of. The zoo was pretty neat too as you're able to get pretty close to the animals. It's pretty family friendly. Just don't expect your car to remain clean after the visit:)

Amazing Safari Experience! It was so amazing to drive through the park and feed animals. Such an interactive experience we have never had before. Beats any zoo experience. The walk through part was very nice as well. Everything was tidy, well organized. There was also a wonderful place with parrots where you can feed them and they land on your shoulder/hand. My son loved it. We came on the weekend and there were very few people there.

The safari park is so fun to do, especially with kids. The animals are mostly gentle and it's hilarious how they try and get the food in the buckets! You better hold on to it tight, and watch out for those ostriches. They can be a little aggressive. Loved the little birds, they are so colorful. You need to purchase the budgee sticks to feed them. They land all over you and they are so beautiful! The other animals are amazing as well. You will have a blast!

Wonderful experience! Ticket gets you in all day even if you leave and come back. Staff handling animals were great. Gift shop employees seemed to be having an off day. Make sure to buy plenty of food for the animal feeding. Makes it an experience you won't soon forget! Pack lunch you can eat in car or at picnic tables. Food is overpriced. Can't wait to take my grandchildren.

The park consisted of a wildlife loop and a zoo; the loop was an absolutely a memorable and wild experience! It was a ton of fun. The zoo (safari village) was like a typical zoo.All in all great except the limited food/beverage offerings at this place. The cafe was excruciatingly slow in taking orders and had limited options. Long lines. If they’re charging $31 per adult they should be staffing that cafe for summer peak time crowds. You can drive the wildlife loop as many times in a day.

My kids loved this park.. We will come back again. Once we enter the park.. drive through gate..all animals jump to your car and we will end up feeding them all our food whatever we carry. We need to keep some food to feed other lovely animals at other locations of this drive. At the end don’t miss to visit kangaroos, lion monkeys and birds ..

This was a last-minute decision, and it was a great one! The animals are all healthy-looking, and the backdrop and land the zoo is on are GORGEOUS! Predictable mud streaks on the side of the car afterwords but we opted not to feed during the drive thru to minimize animals scratching the side of our car. Our absolute favorite part was feeding the birds, which was SO fun!! Def plan to take some $ for that part, minimum $2 for a popsicle stick full of seeds, but it'll be the best $2 you spend all year! We were there 3 hours and could have easily spent another 1-2 more hours.
