We really enjoy the cave tour! Highly recommend. It does have lots of steps and some slippery surfaces.

I was worried that the $20 ticket wouldn’t be worth it but I was very pleasantly surprised! I was with one friend and besides us it was only our tour guide. Tours are once an hour but if you plan to visit make sure there isn’t a school group at the time you want to go. The caverns themselves are super cool and fascinating even as an adult.

Great little roadside attraction. If you have never been in a cavern, this is a great starter. The guides are fabulous and informative with a nice sense of corny humor. It is a cave so watch your head and step. This cavern will make you want to explore some of the more extensive caverns that spread throughout the United States.Nice little gift shop with interesting items to keep you entertained while waiting on your tour to begin.

Ms. Rachel was an amazing guide. She made the tour fun and informative. Thank you for the experience. The overall was fun and beautiful. It is a cave after all so do remember to bring a jacket or sweater as temps drop upon entry. Cavern is well maintained and lit while trying to keep the natural aspects of the cavern alive as well. The experience of the darkness I side the cave made this even more enjoyable. Recommended for anyone looking to get a taste for caverns.

The Caverns is a great spot to check out after visiting the Natural Bridge. They have scheduled tours so you could call ahead and see when the next one is so you aren’t waiting too long. We waited about 45 minutes. While we waited we checked out ate our packed lunch, they have picnic tables around and we walked up the trail to see the original entrance of the cave. It is uphill and also leads to another trail called Buck Hill Trail. We didn’t have time to do this trail.Tickets were about 20ish dollars per adult. They have bathrooms and a gift shop. But I found some natural crystallized rocks outside while walking around. Our guide was awesome and every there seemed friendly. The caves themselves are very cool (literally, bring a jacket) but also just in general. There are quite a few stairs which can be slippery and you also don’t really notice how many stairs until you’re on the way back climbing them! Great experience all around. I do wish the tour was longer.

MUST VISIT!! Natural Bridge Caverns: A Cool Adventure in Every Way!Have you ever been to a place that's both literally and figuratively cool? That's Natural Bridge Caverns for you! Tucked away near Great Bridge and the Safari Park, it's the perfect addition to an adventure-packed weekend. I've been here twice – once with my family and another time with friends. Our routine?Safari Park one day, and then Natural Bridge Park and the caverns the next. Trust me, it never gets old! 😀These caverns are something else. The guided tour is not just a walk through some cave – it's a journey into a whole different world. You've got these amazing guides who are total pros at making rocks and formations sound as exciting as a blockbuster movie. They're super careful, too, making sure everyone's safe and having a good time. But here's a pro tip – it’s chilly down there! ❄️Don’t let the hot weather above ground fool you. If you're not geared up for the cold, don't sweat it. The gift shop at the entrance has got you covered. It's like a treasure trove with cute stuff that’ll catch anyone's eye – from rock-themed jewelry to hoodies and everything in between. And be cateful - its VERY SLIPPERY in there!!I'd say it’s a must-visit for those 10 years and up. The caverns are fascinating, and the whole experience is just a blast. So, if you're around Natural Bridge or Safari Park, don't miss out on this cool underground adventure!!😉

Our tour guide was excellent. The caves were amazing. My daughter did learn she was slightly claustrophobic in the caves but she decided to power on through and says she doesn't regret any of it. This is absolutely worth the hour of climbing and ducking it takes to maneuver through.

The caverns are smaller then some of the others I have gone to but no less captivating. Our guide Corey was great and answered all questions that were asked and made sure we had fun on our tour. The price is reasonable I think. They do have a military discount, but they do not have a first responders discount which I felt should be an offered. It is absolutely worth stopping in and taking the tour.

Exploring the caves at Natural Bridge was worth-every-penny adventure! The intricate formations and hidden chambers within the caves were absolutely awesome. My guide made the experience both educational and thrilling. I highly recommend this place, especially for beginners.

The tour guide here was very careless. She was uninformative and not well prepared. I had a elderly family member fall and hurt themselves on the stairs twice, to which the tour guide stood across at the bottom, didn’t bother checking, walking over, or even seeing what happened nor showed any amount of care. When the other people in our very small group had to help my family member, she just stood back and made a joke. When a few of us stayed back to assist my family member, the tour guide walked way ahead of us, with no care her group was way behind. There isn’t too much too interesting either.

We went to the caverns after it had rained for 4 days straight. The mirror lake was 2ft and murky vs it's typical 1ft and crystal clear. You could hear the rushing water! It was a very cool experience. It is 54° all year round so make sure you take a jacket. We took our family with a 9 and 2 year old. Both thoroughly enjoyed it. Rachel was our tour guide and was fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, conscious of everyone's safety, and helpful. Would recommend anyone with or without a family to visit!

This was an awesome experience! Our guide, Cameron, was informative but also kept the tour interesting. Like others have said, bring a jacket and good shoes for the cavern. You can hike 1/4 mile to the natural cave entrance before or after the tour. There is also a 2 mile moderate hike through the woods (Buck Hill Trail). Tours are on the hour, so no wait time if you plan accordingly. Cute gift shop. $42 total entrance fee for two adults.

Just went this past weekend & had a great experience! This cavern is smaller than Luray but I personally liked it better…. The best part is when we got all the down to the bottom and our guide turned off all the lights so you were in complete darkness for about 3 minutes! This cavern is the deepest one in Virginia and offers more of a relaxed setting . Our tour guide was funny and knowledgeable! Highly recommend this !

If ever near Lexington, VA, the Natural Bridge Caverns are a must see. Guided tours and lantern tours are available. The Caverns are allegedly haunted. Tours usually last around 45 minutes. The temperature remains a cool 54 °F year round so bring a jacket. The Caverns feature many unique structures including the Colossal Dome Room, Mirror Lake, Well Room, and the Canyon Room. The deepest part of the Cavern is 347 feet below the ground's surface. The Caverns at Natural Bridge were by previously called Buck Hill Caverns.

Shawn is an awesome tour guide! Stopped in while camping in Natural Bridge this summer. This is a very cool cavern with an interesting history. Very different than Luray but super cool and a great find. After our tour we hiked up to the original opening too! Quick note: Neither the caverns nor the hike are stroller friendly.

This is the deepest commercial cavern on the east coast at 347 ft. The staff is kind, knowledgeable and incredibly patient. (Mike, you are a saint for not punting any of the incredibly obnoxious children into a crevasse today.) There’s a large parking lot and a low key store front with some snacks and keepsakes. Tours are hourly, so your wait depends on when you get there. Please note, this is a strenuous route that runs 347 ft underground. Expect an ambient temp of 54 degrees in most portions of the caverns and as an active system, after heavy rains, you will experience walking through quite a few puddles/clay/et al. Jacket, headwear and appropriate footwear are highly recommended. If you have mobility issues, please discuss with the tour guide prior to buying tix. I would not recommend for kids under 7 due to the terrain.

Loved this tour! Very educational and fun… tour guides have a sense of humor! :) It’s about 45mins, and it’s so cool how deep it goes. We will be back.It was $12 for adults and they have rock mining for the kids for $10 a bag. There is a small shop too. The tours are about every hour unless it’s busy they do them every 30mins.They also have a hiking trail.Bring a jacket or sweater!About 50 degrees!Maybe a few more picnic areas and a small cafe would be great!

I have to say our tour guy, Austin was amazing! He had an awesome, fun personality! Much better than the guide we had years ago when we visited. He was so knowledgeable and passionate about his job! The only bad thing I have to say is the stairs are steep, both going down and coming back up. And the gift shop was really bare. But Austin made up for all of that!! He was the best!!!
