Stayed at the inn for a weekend trip to Grayson highlands state park. Paula manages the store and inn and does a terrific job!! The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. Behind the inn is a peaceful creek. The store also has a restaurant where we had a great breakfast before hiking for the day.Whether you’re looking for a meal, camping supplies, snacks, gas, or an overnight stay, Paula’s store has it all!

My wife and I had hiked a portion of the AT and finished up at Grayson Highlands State Park. We stopped at the General Store to initial just buy drinks. We ended up having the most incredible fresh cooked meal here. The owner and the chef went above and beyond to make sure that our experience was phenomenal. I would recommend to my friends to go. out of their way to eat here and resupply. It was truly a five star experience.

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! I went here with my friend after we spent the night hiking at a nearby mountain. The owner was just opening up when we got there and excitedly waved us in, so we did! We were incredibly hungry, so we got a bunch of the breakfast items, all of which felt like a home cooked meal. While we were waiting for the food, the owner took time to chat with us about the history of the place and what we were doing in the area. Everything about this place is a must-see: the people, the food, & the supplies! If you're in the area or driving nearby, definitely give this place a try. You'll meet some fantastic people who will make your day!

We stayed in the room above the store and it was the perfect location; very close to Grayson Highlands State park. There's a beautiful creek that runs behind the store for guests to enjoy. Paula is a wonderful hostess and answered any questions we had about check-in. The food was excellent, especially the cinnamon bun bread pudding we had for breakfast. It was a highlight of our trip.Rooms: Room was clean and spacious and also came with a coffee maker, fridge, microwave and table.Nearby activities: Close to entrance of Grayson Highland State parkFood & drinks: Delicious breakfast casserole and cinnamon bun bread pudding.

This is a great business, and the owners are very kind and attentive. We stayed here for one night and had dinner and breakfast. Very clean rooms, great food, lots of snacks and groceries and camping gear, and a grassy space to hang out by the fire and the creek in the evening. The owners worked with our bike trip logistics by letting us drop some gear there before hand. We stopped back by on our last day for some more sandwiches and drinks. They make a lot of homemade sandwiches and chicken salad and such. Great place to base camp for biking, hiking or exploring this area.

We stopped in for lunch before a weekend of backpacking and were so glad that we did! The food served in the store (all made from scratch) was delicious and very reasonably priced. The store also had a wide assortment of snacks, drinks, groceries, camping supplies and much, much more. We had an opportunity to chat with the owners and they were incredibly friendly and accommodating! We were so impressed, we made a point to stop back in on our way back home and had another delicious meal! We absolutely plan to stop back in for another visit the next time we hike in the area!

A friend and I stayed there 3 days last week while exploring Grayson Highland State park. It is perfectly located for quick access to outdoor activities in the surrounding area.The owner / staff are great and to top it off they offered keto biscuits and bagels that were amazing.Rooms: The rooms were very clean and equipped with everything we needed. They were also very spacious which allowed us to spread out and be comfortable.Nearby activities: Grayson Highland State park is minutes away. Damascus and West Jefferson are both about 30 - 40 mins away if you want to experience some great small towns.Food & drinks: The breakfast were amazing and included keto options.

What a pleasant and comfortable night camping on flat grass near a very nice creek on my first night of the Grayson Gravel Circuit. There is a utility room for campers that provides toilet, shower, washer and dryer all included with the standard camping fee. There is also a nice covered patio with comfortable chairs. I will try and work a stay here into all of my future trips in this area.

We made reservations on our way to Grayson Highlands Park and really didn’t know what to expect. It was a wonderful experience. Rooms are updated and very nice. The store has a huge inventory to be a small general store. We had breakfast in the cafe and it was very good. Coffee was very good. The new owners are so pleasant and hospitable. We plan to return for a longer stay. It was delightful.

This store is owned by the nicest people! The mother and son were so pleasant and hospitable. We almost ran out of gas leaving Grayson Highlands State park and they came to our rescue as their pumps were not yet open. Thanks for the help and for all the goodies! We did not stay overnight but stopped for items while camping and so glad we did. We enjoy supporting local businesses and the campers at Grayson Highlands are lucky to have you! Tried to find you on Instagram for a shout out.Food & drinks: Delicious Acai ice cream! Cute little store.

Stopped here for breakfast today after a few days in the Grayson Highlands.The husband, wife and son were all part of the service team and were very friendly and welcoming - and this doesn't just seem to be what happens on a "good day" , many reviews talk about how welcoming they are.The breakfast was VERY good and exactly what a one needs after camping in the Highlands.Highly recommended!

I was absolutely delighted with my 2-day stay at the Grayson Highlands General Store & Inn. Not only did the room exceed my expectations (size, features, cleanliness) but the owners repeatedly went out of their way to make the stay comfortable. I had a few meals at the Inn; they were decent and fairly priced. The setting of the property is quite good too -- quiet at night; very near the state park; and tranquil with the creek behind the building. Really a 5-star experience!

First time staying at the inn and we loved it. Very close to Grayson Highlands State Park. We stayed two nights in Room #2. It was much larger than we expected and we were impressed. The sound of the water from Mill Creek directly behind the inn was so relaxing to listen to. Dennis, the owner, gave us the grand tour of his business consisting of the store, grill, ice cream counter, gas station, all the rooms, green houses, fruit trees, grape vines, and the creek. We will definitely return on our next trip to this area.

Our stay was amazing!Although we hadn't originally planned to stay at the Inn (I honestly didn't know about it before we made the six-hour trip), we decided to stay in the area an extra day, and our previous accommodations were (still) booked, so our hostess recommended Dennis's rooms at the Inn.We were so excited to explore not only the general store, which, by the way, has a great selection (he even has plant-based items!), but he also has a creek, gardens and vineyards to explore. It's so peaceful at the creek - we wanted to stay longer, but ... back to reality.Also - the room was great - very nice, new and clean, and Dennis was super helpful. He showed us which trails to take at Grayson Highlands and even called the gentleman who provides local horseback riding to see if he had any openings.Finally - Dennis even asked if he could make my daughter a cake for her birthday, and she was ecstatic to say the least. She had her first homemade, plant-based chocolate cake (her request), and it was delicious.If you're looking for a friendly place that's close to the park, we would highly recommend the Inn!

Cute, Country and Convenient.The property has a general store, Fast Food restaurant, gas station and Inn with pretty much everything you need. It’s convenient to Grayson Highland state park, which is the place we were hiking this weekend.The owner, Dennis was super accommodating. He helped us with check in, check out and general tips for the hike (thanks for the water!)The rooms were clean and did not smell of cigarettes or mold. They had an extra blanket, TV with cable, fresh towels and shampoo.Overall, a great stay with good fast food and good vibes. Dennis seems to be mindful with the environment. He recycles and offers biodegradable utensils and plates.Thank you for everything, we recommend this place for anyone looking for a quick and easy stay.

A Hiker's Haven! My sister and I stayed here 3 nights while hiking in the area and we loved it! We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite which was extremely clean and had a well stocked kitchen with more than what we needed.The general store had a huge selection and carried a little bit of everything. They had some unique products that we can't find at home. We ate 4 meals at the Store (breakfast twice and dinner twice) - the food was delicious and the service was excellent! (Ask for the Amish bread and Amish butter!!) Dennis, his brother, and the ladies who help him in the store were all so friendly and helpful. We were truly treated as if we were guests at their home versus customers at their store.Dennis was helpful with our hiking plans and trail directions and made suggestions on what he thought we would enjoy.The renovations he's made to the Inn are nice. A creek runs through the backyard of the Store/Inn and there is a deck where you can sit, relax and just enjoy watching the water flow. The beds were comfortable, the towels were large and thick and the water pressure was great. We had the best time and I hope that our travels will bring us back to the area so that we can stay here again! Thank you Dennis and Tim for making a trip AMAZING!

Owner Dennis is a wonderful host and most accommodating to hikers. They have a fabulous Amish deli and lots of resupply options for hikers. Room was clean and comfy. Dennis even took me back to the trail the next day and Cindy and Phyllis (employees)went out of their way for me. Beautiful back yard to sit and relax. They even have a room to hang out and do laundry for $3 if you wamt to head back on the trail the same day without sleeping over.
