10/10 for customer service! I’m a little late on this review but, I bought their moonshine hot sauce on a trip to the campground nearby last summer. It was so good but the drive was too far to go back. I was willing to pay for shipping though, so I called them in hopes of being able to get more of it. I don’t remember who I spoke with but she was helpful, called me back, and I ended up ordering all their flavors. To top it all off, they sent me this nice letter with a pretty cool sticker. Will definitely be stopping in if I’m ever in the area again. Thanks Birddog’s Crew!

My first time at this little country store, the people were awesome. A customer helped me with picking the best choices of sandwiches for my lunch. Just a nice place, family oriented, nice table outside to sit and enjoy your meal.

The absolute worst experience I've encountered in my entire life!! Been going to Bird Dogs for several years. Always been a great experience. However this morning I encountered the most horrible personality ever. Shannon was both rude and nasty. I can no longer recommend Bird Dogs. Customer service is the key to any business. By the way, Dawn has been an absolute pleasure to work with.

Need to get more items in inventory, barely anything to buy. Warm drinks, iffy food, and customer service is not great depending on who’s working. A couple of the ladies there were quite short tempered and a little rude. But for a “convenience store “ it was actually decently convenient 😂

Got our fishing licenses here. Many types of bait for sale. Simple fishing gear available. Cold drinks and snacks like any convenience store. Gas reasonably priced. Tight tiny isles meant for skinny people, which I am not. The people are friendly. Serve hot fresh food, daily specials you can eat on the picnic tables outside. Nice old school place.

I love this small store. You can get some food to go and you can grab some knickknacks while you're at it. It's like a gift shop/convenience store/gas station. Great customer service each time as well. Check them out!

The made to order food is delicious! I always get a scrapple sandwich. I wish it was a bigger store i always feel a bit crowded in there. But all in all a good little hidden gem. Handmade goods, delicious food and unique virginia gifts

I love the look of the store. It has some cute and unique items for sale inside. Very convenient for anyone staying at or visiting Westmoreland State Park. Store worker recommended I try the chicken salad. I purchased a chicken salad sandwich and 2 deviled eggs. Both were not bland and has no seasoning. I am a pass holder for the park but don't know if I will ever order food there again.

Store is nice. If you forgot something they probably have it. Food is...ok. My wife's bbq sandwich was wet and pretty unappealing. My blt was also pretty soggy. Probably would choose other food options in the future. The deviled eggs were pretty tasty although they just sorta chucked em into the bag.

We camp at West Moreland State frequently, this a great place to get a quick sandwich. Great desserts too. They have a little bit of everything, a little pricey but in a pinch it beats driving to Montrose.

Darlene is Awesome and always friendly and helpful. They always have a little bit of everything inside the store for last minute things that I forgot. Also they have a Food Counter where they have deviled eggs and crab dip and other food items that they prepare or you can always order up a cheeseburger and fries that they prepare fresh for each order. They're food is the best around. You can't go wrong with BirdDogs!

Nice friendly country store. Prices are high. But with nothing else around for miles this is your best choice. They have most typical store option as well as Silverlight grocery outfits. They have gas and Diesel, hunting and fishing licenses as well as bait. I do stop here often when I'm in the area. I would encourage you to stop in. Higher rating if prices were lower.

Homemade desserts and country food for sale. A little pricey. Only real local place to stop for gas, food, lottery, etc. So it's busy. Must wear mask. Don't know if they have bathrooms

Great spot to stop if you're headed to westmora State Park or you are staying at Westmoreland State park. They are a 10th of a mile from the entrance of Westmoreland State Park and sell a little bit of everything and make fresh food.

The food was great! Highly recommend a cheeseburger. Super close to the camp site and staff was nice. A little busy for the two registers so you may have to wait in line but it's worth it.

Great little country store with many things needed by forgetful campers. Deli counter has great breakfast sandwiches and chicken salad sandwiches for lunch or dinner.Gas is cheap, beer is cold and ice cream is frozen.

When you are staying at a Campground nearby you can have your packages delivered there. As I was picking up my package from the store I bought a bottle of homemade mango hot sauce out of this world good...

My family and I live in Virginia Beach we go to the state park in Westmoreland. Bird dog Country Store is right along the entrance to the park. You can find just about anything you might possibly need there including home-baked items. It's sort of a laid-back country atmosphere a very comfortable place to shop and I met the owner she was very friendly and helpful with my need for a bag of ice. If she reads this I know she will remember me. Thank you for your kindness.

Take care of your business and go back home. I felt like I entered the twilight zone between the locals acting strange and just how much of a mess this joint is. When you walk in nobody greets you. You will have to wait for the only employee there to get off the phone. Best of luck with these strange birds.

Owner was incredibly rude to me while I was a delivery driver here for a short time. I'd never patronized this store because of it. She was such a piece of trash.
