We visited this place during the Maple festival. They were extremely busy. The staff was very friendly. The food was delicious! I recommend the fried chicken sandwich. Everyone at our table said their food was delicious: cheeseburgers, fries and the trout platter. Most of the pictures on the wall were crooked and I really wanted to fix that. 😂

Amazing find!!! Took my family here for a late lunch/ early dinner.Greeted by smiling faces and warm atmosphere.The restaurant is SUPER clean!!! We ordered Philly cheese steak sandwiches and onions rings, 10/10 absolutely recommend! Word of advice come hungry, portions are filling. Definitely got our money’s worth.Our server was absolutely adorable, she was so friendly and attentive! We’d go back just to have her!Great place, thank you!!

Tucked away at the corner of Routes 250 and 220, is one of the best gems of Monterey. Aptly named, Hull’s Hideaway has some of the best country cooking you’ll find anywhere, but their thick juicy burgers, fried-to-perfection onion rings and butterfly shrimp make this little diner a destination all itself. A Family-run business and it shows in the love and attention they put into every dish.

Ordered the taco salad. Excellent choice. Once I was half eating it, a bunch of fellow bikers, friends for ever did order the same. So my guess is as good as yours. Nice town at the bottom of Allegheny Mtd. On Road 250.

Waitress was great, food was tastelesS. Took forever to get two burgers and maybe 8 chips. Other diners waited for their food as well. Seemed like they could only fix one order at a time.Men's bathroom was disgusting, women's room was fine.The kitchen ceiling fan, that is visible from the dining room, has so much dust on it it makes one wonder if it wasn't working because of the weight of the buildup or the motor has locked up .A toddler, who appeared to be was related to the family who owns the restaurant, was allowed to run in and out of the kitchen and drop her toys on the dining room floor--an accident waiting to happen.Do not recommend.

We stopped for dinner at Hull's Hideaway for dinner while passing through the area. Service was friendly although a little slow as I think they were preparing for a party. Food was pretty good, I had a cheesesteak and my wife had chicken Parmesan and both were good. The were out of tap beer but had a couple different bottle beers. OK place, not much else in the area.

My wife and I stopped with our 2 grandchildren for lunch on 7/3 and found a table immediately. Our server was prompt with both the adult menus as well as the Kids' menus. Food was great and service was fast. Will return on next trip to Monterey.

So I am going with 4 stars instead of 3 that I first thought. In all honesty, there are not many places to eat in Monterey! With people venturing out again and the whole town virtually shut down because of high school graduation (all 18 students-sort of nice actually!) they were a bit unprepared for a crowd. So the meal was OK, the server fine, but someone should have removed all the loaves of bread off an entrance table to open up another table for customers! The salad bar needed attention...but I think they were shorthanded so it's not in me to knock down a mom and pop restaurant. Hopefully as things open back up they'll get their groove back!

Worst blueberry cobbler I have ever eat. it tasted like a 1 dollar pie out of a vending machine. You would expect better from a restaurant in a rural community. I will never stop again.
