Spoke with managers about a bag of Romain hearts that were visibly out of date and browning. Showed the two managers and they said they could do nothing. All I wanted was a discount just like I received from all the normal manager special I show here for. I am disable and live near westlake and travel specifically to shop here as I have done since they opened. Guess who is now a Kroger customer? That’s right me and I told them so. Guess who just lost 5K in business.

Good Food Lion, outdoes the competition on the other side of the lake bridge in quite a few ways :), not least the fact that their paper bags are strong enough to get 10 pounds of groceries home intact.

One of the best Food Lions I've seen. Great selection of ethnic groceries, lots of kombuchas, good selection of organic food and better than most Food Lions regarding wine offerings. Friendly staff, hometown feel there.

Love this foodlion my only problem is they need to open more checkouts in morning instead of just one short checkout isle unless they pay me to use self checkouts prices are high enough and they have 3 people at self checkouts that could be on cash registers give me a discount for doing there job then I'll use self checkouts

Although pharmacy hours are limited, they still beat scary CVS, hands down!Deli is up to date, clean & friendly.Store selection is well above average, with spices (in both regular & ethnic), being well above par.I only get my spices here, VS high $ Kroger. You can't beat them on original selection & prices in this area.I wish they were closer, but we'll willing to drive across the bridge to get there, for sure!

No it isn't a Kroger it's a food Lion. Two completely different chains. Has a good selection of the common groceries and a few extras you don't think about. The prices are right also.

Moneta Food Lion is always stocked, clean, and well staffed. Seems a lot less crowded than surrounding grocery stores

Nice clean store, but does not have the variety of the Kroger's which is the next closest grocery. Plus food Lion does not have any butchers to cut pork loin, or other larger cuts of meat like you like it

They were going to cheat me iut of 54.00 and not let me take 4 crates of drinks to my car. I kept telling them i dont want the crates im 72 yr.s old just thought it would be eaiser to put them in my car. Without chasing the cart.i kept telling them they were wrong on price. Just started my day out real bad and embarrassing.

Store not organized for efficient flow. Produce could be better stocked, but it is a Thursday. Check-out awesome and personal service equal 5 stars. Very friendly helpful, staff. I’ll go again

Please install self checkouts. If an employee is running a cash register they must have customer service skills and a personality and be trained to do their job well. It's sad when you have to tell the cashier how to do their job. I'd rather get what I need and get out. without dealing with ignorance.

Awesomeness is this gentleman and gentlemen...we are basically at this Foodlion in Moneta every night after work and I just wanted to stop and take the time to give credit where credit is due. Michael who is at the register (he is amazing) helpful, informative...gosh just all around a great guy--his coworker Eric is just the same--their maybe a small thi g but I tell you compared to other grocery spots that their management and them have the right idea and they are appreciated!!!

Unreliable pick up service. Waited nearly 20 minutes, watch two other customers come and go and all I get are incompetent excuses.Pharmacy is understaffed and thus slow and error prone.

Great staff, clean store. Prices aren’t bad at all. And someone is generally always present to help you. Never too long of a wait at the check out lines.Would be cool to see if they ever added self-checkout.

Very clean and well stocked store. Everything you need for your Smith Mountain lake stay. The staff were helpful and got to what we needed. We will definitely be back for more. The deli had many fresh food as well.

The store is kept clean. They are open 6am till midnight!! They are kept stocked because they are considered a "resort" store. The staff are very friendly and they will try to help you out. They do have in store pickup and outside pickup. They deliver thru Instacart. I highly recommend this foodlion. I honestly say if you can go for a nice ride from rocky Mount or where you are and come here.

The store was clean and laid out well. Employees were friendly. Lines were minimal. There were two people that were not wearing masks the last time I was in the store. I understand this is not the stores fault but they should have been asked to leave. This is what kept me from giving 5 stars.

Went to check prices of drinks, did buy some,found a sandwich I have never seen and it was great. Plus I have been looking for food lion pimento cheese and they had it. Good trip to the store, good experience and people were nice. Might stop there more often.

This is an above-average Food Lion in terms of presentation. The store is very clean. The parking lot is not hard to get and out of. It is a little small, so the aisles are a bit narrow compared to a larger store. But if you're in the area this is a fine place to get groceries.

The Best grocery store anywhere on or near the Lake. It's a clean store with a happy to assist you associates. Shopping Food Lion is Easy and Affordable with Fresh produce, deli products and meats. Down load their Food Lion to Go App. for an even quicker way to shop.

I would have to say that has been the best grocery store I've been in for year's. IT was a pleasure to do business with them . The produce was fresh , store was very clean , plenty to choose from and employees very friendly. They could teach a thing or two to the store's here in Roanoke.

Always neat, clean and stocked. Cashier was friendly. Never can read the receipts due to low ink.... I do not like that since I check the prices...but...beats the heck out of Wally World. See you soon neighborhood lion.
