Best Food Lion for sure. Clerks are so helpful and friendly. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because the prices have gone up and they seem to be out of things all the time.

This Food Lion packs in a lot of the things one would need from a lakeside grocery store. They are recently added self checkout registers and seems to have little seasonal products exactly when needed. Since there are not many options available in the area, this grocery store shelves can get pretty thin in the later parts of the evening. During the peak summer days, come early or you might not be able to find those essentials.

Wish I could add the pictures I took inside the bathrooms....Absolutely, 100%, undoubtedly DISGUSTING.Do they not hire people to clean anymore ??The store is usually well stocked, the employees are nice enough and mostly helpful but those bathrooms are GROSS.I don't care if an emergency #2 hit me in mid stride, i would rather mess myself and take the stinkin' walk of shame through the store to my car rather than go into those bathrooms. JUST YUCK !

They have all these workers and no lines open crazy!! May as well start paying customers for doing there job!! It's crazy no lines open and make u pack your own stuff. Then wonder why customers are always mad. Hmm I wonder why. U got staff walking around talking in the isles vers opening a line and getting everyone out I'm a timely manner!!!!! Not professional if u ask me. Then not only that but when you are checking out in self checkout the employees are so close to u they mass well go ahead and kiss u it's crazy looking all in the debit machine almost makes u think there trying to get your card number then when u block so they can't see the numbers u r putting in they move closer!!!! Expecally the younger boy and the mean reddish brown hair lady also.if you don't have customer experience and can't be polite then you prolly should not work there j.s

After fishing Lake Anna, I've stopped by this store 4 times in the last year to pick up a rotisserie chicken for dinner. All four times they have been sold out. I don't know if it's due to indifference or incompetence by management but you would think they would increase cooking capacity to handle the demand.

Don’t get me wrong,…I love that Food Lion is so close to our home as to be OUR food source. However, I have a gluten allergy and will require a gluten-free diet for the balance of my life. My partner is diabetic and will require a sugar free (as much as possible) diet for the balance of HER life.This use to be no problem at OUR Food Lion…as they always had a good and changing selection of the foods we needed for our diets.That is changing…but not in a GOOD WAY.Gluten Free is hit or miss and is precipitously trending downward as the selections available get pushed out for…the twenty third variety of a Red Baron Pizza (for example). Likewise…the staple of life bread…(Ancient Grains is awesome!)…is gone to add yet another nuanced variety of regular old bread…to add to the nearly 100 varieties that they already have.More than 10% of the population is diabetic. More than 25% of the population is gluten intolerant.Don’t we deserve a small part of the FOOD LION merchandising attention??Don’t drive us to Amazon…please!

The location is great for those of us around Lake Anna. The staff is friendly.It's a very busy store. They struggle to keep the shelves stocked during the summer. Actually, much of the time they are out of the weekly special items.Again, the people are friendly. And the store is clean.

Poor poor management. Disrespectful employees. I used to spend 1000 plus here every 2 weeks with a family of 6. You can drive 25 minutes into Spotsylvania and save money and get better service, produce, and meat/sea food.If you continue to shop here, be sure to check your meat. The produce is mostly moldy. They will sell you bad meat. I reported them to the health department because they did not pull the rotten meat off the shelves the day I reported it to the manager. I've had an employee swear at me because he almost ran into me and said I scared him. The young employees talk to each other about inappropriate things in front of all/ any customers, and when you have young kids, it is not appropriate.

Convenient location where there is not much around Lake Anna. This is a full service grocery store. We went back often to pick up items we needed for our family vacation at the Silver Sands of Lake Anna. Prices were very reasonable and the service was great.

I really would like to thank Christy calloway at the food Lion in Louisa for her excellent, excellent service. I'm in a handicap situation and she went so above and beyond today to square away my order. She is just a lovely lovely person. I also have to say there were several people standing around who I asked give me a hand and nobody seemed to be able except for Christy. She jumped right in with both feet and took care of everything so I really appreciate her

I have opted for another local Food Lion to fulfill my Instacart orders because this store almost always has to replace 50% or more of my list and I can't imagine they are really out of that many products. It seems a staff that doesn't care to look is the issue. The store is always clean and bright and the high school aged staff is very courteous at the checkout counters but not so helpful if you need assistance in the aisles.

I like this store. The only complaint I have is just how expensive it is vice other grocery stores we generally frequent. However, we got some cupcakes via a special order, and they were made and ready for us the next day. No complaints.

Emily, you beautiful being!!!I am -hooked- on the "To Go" option Food Lion has & service like this is exactly why 😍 I've been using the curbside pickup for a while now (it keeps me from over spending lol) & while I've yet to receive a bad order from this store, I absolutely love when Emily is the one pulling my order because I know extra care is being put into the items selected.Tonight, though, this girl went above and beyond 🤩 I was already excited when her name popped up in the chat, but nothing can top when this girl walked out holding the cupcake she knew I'd ordered for the drive home in a separate bag with a note 📝 I mean, come on! Totally made my day! 😂This is a busy store and I know finding good help is difficult these days, but you really can't top the customer service at the Lake Anna Food Lion. I -did- call her manager, Jerry, to make sure he knew how amazing she is, but I wanted to make sure Emily got a little more recognition, if possible 😁

This food lion has to be one of the busiest in the state. Services all of the homeowners and visitors around Lake Anna. They do a pretty good job keeping the shelves stocked, not sure how, this place was packed!!

This store is my regular go-to, mostly because they have good prices if you have a loyalty card and it's the closest and most convenient store for me. The store is undergoing a much appreciated transformation, updating the appearance, personell policies, as well as the variety of what they offer (which is great 👍) and it puts them in a more direct competition with Kroger. All in all, I like this store for all the reasons above.

Been coming to this food lion since it opens always has nice employees who are helpful the hot food bar is great here compared to other food lions the employees seem to take pride in actually making the food and enjoy the hot food bar and sushi thank you
