Locke Store is Amazing!! Amanda says hello as soon as I open the door using my name or whomever is working at that particular time and that goes such a long way!! On top of that they know my usual! Not too many stores have this country welcoming feel but still be a Gourmet Grocery Store! They have Amazing finds in Wine and delicious deli menu and so much more! The pies are amazing! The chicken pot pie is well... TO DIE FOR! I highly recommend the store and the COOKIES!!!!! They have the Nightingale Icecream sandwiches!!! Don't walk!! RUN!! THEY ARE AMAZING!!! WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

The Buttery- had very good tasting food but was not super hot. Had a long wait for itWe did have nice waitress. She tried to keep things moving. We all decided that we would be back!

I'm so happy we found this little gem and i can't wait to go back!!! Wonderful spot for cured meats, cheeses, wine, jams, local meat and other farm goods. Things you've never had before and things you can't find anywhere else. We are so lucky to have this wonderful little store nearby!!

Such an incredible store in this unlikely location. In addition to groceries, wine, and beer, they sell cookies, sandwiches, fresh bread, and coffee. Very impressive and worth stopping in.

I’ve been coming here for years and have always loved the sandwiches and speciality drinks, but wanted to leave a review about how kind and thoughtful the employees are. I stopped to get a lemon bar and mentioned how I was taking my dog on all of her favorite drives and walks because she was getting put down the next day and the ladies behind the counter gave me a bunch of ham and turkey to continue making her last day the best day. My dog loved every bite! Will always stop at Lockes whenever I’m in town!

Popped in here today after eating at The Buttery to get some sweet treats and was not disappointed! I picked up a Nightingale Ice Cream Sandwich (Cookie Monster) and a few of their baked items like cookies and a lemon bar. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. If I wasn't so full, I would have loved to try their deli. The next time I'm in Millwood, I'll be sure to try more from here!

We usually love the Locke store, love their quiches! But when I tried their “ Linzer “ cookie, I was totally grossed out by two factors, 1. $24 for a cookie and 2. It was too thick and doughy. What did I just eat. And what’s up with these ridiculous prices!!!

Neat little store with a decent wine and beer selection. The food is good, but i feel the portion size doesn't match the price. i ordered a whole sandwich, the southwest ham and Provolone a small bag of chips and a can of soda cost $20.

This has been one of my favorite Shenandoah Valley finds! A broad mix of local/farm-to-table items, from cheeses and snack ls to wine and beer! Their food is tasty, inspiring and worth a drive. People from DC and all points around drive hours for a visit. Pack an empty picnic basket and fill it up here! Don't forget your cooler!

Stopped in this morning for take out.. Love the staff. But was recommended a $37 bottle of wine which was way below my expectations. And highly touted. Also paid for grilled peach salad which was not included in our take out and I missed that. Regardless our chicken salad and curried egg salad were AMAZING!!! Love the food and staff. I think I was there on an off day.

I LOVE Locke Store! Their food is fresh and delicious. They have a bountiful variety of things to choose from. The staff is friendly and very helpful. And the store itself is quaint and so charming. We will be back in a week to pickup our Tondonia wine they ordered for us. 💞

New:Super disappointed. Just came back here, and while there are still lots of great products and a very friendly staff, the prices have skyrocketed. I know inflation is a thing, but this is gratuitous. Shame.Original:Super friendly staff with lots of interesting and yummy food items. The ice cream sammys are incredible. Well worth the lovely drive from all parts.

Great little store. They sell my favorite coffee beans. (Lone Oak Mexico blend 👌). Had an Italian Hogie. I was thinking like it was a sub but it was on Chibatta bread. Still good though.

Stopped by after brunch at the Buttery, and I wish the Locke Store was closer to home! They stock many pantry items that we tend to keep at home, and have a well-curated wine and beer section. Have not tried the deli, but I did pick up Locke label frozen bolognese sauce with some dry pasta (made with VA grown wheat!) and it was a delicious dinner at home last night. Also friendly and welcoming staff. Great to see a business with so much support for local farms and producers.We’ll definitely be back!

My mom and I always grab a bite to eat here after visiting Blandy Farm. I love or when they have wine and cheese tastings! The wine selection here is vast. They offer a delicious selection of desserts and a smattering of sandwiches, soups and sides. All made with quality ingredients. It’s definitely not McDonalds so be prepared to pay a little more for quality food.

Fantastic wine selection, rhone valley in particular, but a ton of variety in general. I try to stop in as often as I can as the shop gets in new wines pretty frequently as well. The baked goods and delicatessen are wonderful too, and there is a nice smattering of local and virginia foods and such.

The ladies who run this are very good chefs /cooks. They have a great variety of quiches, soups, sandwiches. They also stock a large selection of local and international wines. There's a great selection of condiments, gelato of various flavors; jams, jellies, cheeses, syrups, fresh baked breads, and on and on. I love this store and I get hungry just writing this review.

Gourmet deli that has a good wine selection, including a few from countries like Greece and Turkey. I loved the locally made MTO Kombucha, which tastes like it should (tart and funky). Everything in here looks scrumptious, from the cheeses to the ready-made salads and cold dishes like stuffed avocados. Good selection of gourmet chocolates, as well. Prices are high, particularly for the area, but the charming ambiance seems to cover all negatives.

The food was to die for and the service was top flight! The store is awesome, they have a great selection of wine and beer and some other really cool stuff. A little pricey but it's a perfect example of "you get what you pay for".
