Dr. Butterflied was very thorough and kind when she checked our pup Milo. He seemed to be having some pain. She diagnosed him and gave him some anti inflammatory meds. He seems to be back to his regular spunky self

Very friendly staff. I wanted to try this vet and boarding place based off their reviews. My dog has boarded here with no issues. I've boarded him here a few times and he instantly loves this place. They treat him so well. I know he can get anxious while boarded, but he feels at ease here. The doctor also treats him well and I'm so happy he's in good hands. Thanks for doing what you do. You guys are amazing.

Just had our first vet visit at Swift Creek Animal Hospital, and I couldn't be happier! Dr. Lucas was amazing with my lab's chronic ear infection, providing top-notch care and advice. The front desk staff were also super quick to help, making the whole experience seamless. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for compassionate and efficient veterinary care!

The staff at Swift Creek Animal Hospital & Vet are the best! Our deaf dog is extremely fearful of going to the vet. We switched to Swift Creek after a bad experience elsewhere. They are extremely kind, understanding and accommodating to his needs and always put me at ease with each visit too! I highly recommend Dr. Creasey and her amazing staff at Swift Creek!!

My kitty needed to be seen right away and SCAH was very accommodating. The front desk folks were welcoming and professional . . . they knew what they were doing! Dr. Powel loves kitties and had listening ears and heart for what was going on with my Gabby. We are in the process of getting my kitty back on track with her unexpected health changes. Absolutely amazing! I had the unfortunate pleasure of utilizing their services for euthanizing my Husky (15 years).. and they were so compassionate and kind. Yesterday, I had to take my new kitten in for a sinus infection and Dr. Lucas was fantastic! Her aids also did a great job for my little and I! 100% made me a SCAHPR fan for life! Go see them if your pets need help!

Dr Butterfield, Dr Clarke and Dr Creasy are the best. They are kind, compassionate and always take the time to explain things well. They also are very good at what they do. Dr Butterfield caught a subtle but life-threatening condition in its very early stages and by doing so very likely saved our dog’s life. I wouldn’t take my dogs anywhere else.

I love this clinic! My wife and I have physical disabilities and cannot get out of the car and walk into the office and ALL of the staff is soooo accommodating and will come get my pets from the car and take them into the office for their exams and bring our sweet pups back to the car for us! They treat our animals so well and the doctors always explain in detail what’s going on with our pets! I HIGHLY recommend all of the doctors as I think we have seen all of them!

I moved to virginia in July 2023 and started taking my 10 yr old boxer here. I'm so glad I chose these vets. They are excellent and very caring. My dog has several health issues, and they have been awesome so far. We have also used the pet resort a couple of times so far for boarding, and they have been great. I love the fact that they are next to my vets, especially having an old boxer with health issues. It relieves my worries about him when I have to go away, knowing he is well looked after with veterinary experts on hand if needed.

I have been going to Swift Creek animal hospital for years and never have had a bad experience. This recent experience was quite enjoyable. They went the extra mile to make my dog feel comfortable as work was done on him. I would suggest this veterinarian hospital to anybody who loves their animals they treat them with respect and kindness.

The entire staff is very friendly, courteous, and super sweet to my dog. Their interactions with my pet show how caring they are and they are very understanding if my dog makes an “oopsie”. The team is very efficient and thorough when conducting my dog’s annual exam. I am always very happy of the service and attention we receive!

Excellent service. Friendly office. Dr. Clark by far is the most genuine caring Veterinarian I’ve met! She is willing to find answers to help my sick kitten and very proactive on what needs to be done and not about doing every expensive test there is. I will be switching all my fur babies over to her office. Please check them out.

We have been coming to Swift Creek Animal Hospital now since 2009. We have been through a life experience with two cats, sadly losing one in July-2023. The entire life of this cat was cared for by these people and I cannot say enough about the lifetime of experiences our cat received from these people who I just yesterday when we brought our other cat in, that they were considered as part of our family. They are wonderful people, have hearts that warm and break, just like ours when something bad happens that can't be fixed. They cry too. I will forever love these people for their caring ways, their gentle souls and their loving ways.

I literally love this place. They always do everything they can to help. I felt so bad because my cat wet herself at the sight of their office and her whole backside was drenched, but they were so nice. Took her back, washed her, cleaned her ears out, dried her off and brought her back to me with 2 potty pads for the carrier. Such sweet staff and genuinely care about the animals they see.

Our cat, Bella, was there nine days and when we picked her up she was clean, healthy and vey “talkative”. She was happy to be home, checking out every room to make sure it hadn’t changed and extremely loving toward us. Thank you for her resort vacation!

This place may be fine for routine vaccines and basic needs, but I would never bring a sick pet here. I'm actually never going to use this vet again because of the trauma they put us through. On November 7th, I called them in a panic because my 7 year old dog was peeing bright red blood, they told me to come in later in the day - they pulled a sterile sample from her bladder and it was pure blood too, they diagnosed her with a severe UTI and put her on antibiotics. She never had a UTI in her life. Honestly, they should've sent us to the ER vet right away. It seemed like it was getting better on the 8th - she wasn't going as frequently. On November 9th, I called panicking once again cause now nothing was coming out when she tried to pee. They had me come in right away and did abdominal x-rays (after talking to someone who used to work in the vet industry, I was told they should have done this on the 7th as part of the UTI diagnosis). They couldn't see her bladder in the x-ray, it had ruptured. They sent us to the emergency vet downtown. The emergency vet worked on stabilizing her, but then I got a call at 3AM and my stomach dropped - she was throwing up bright green and the vet looked at the abdominal x-rays again and noticed spots on the edge where her lungs are. They did chest x-rays and she had metastasized cancer. Surgery was no longer an option and we got to hold her and say our goodbyes on the the 10th. This misdiagnosis of a UTI put our beloved dog through 3 days of hell - she was in pain, she doesn't like car rides, the cancer should've been spotted on those abdominal x-rays and we should've said our goodbyes sooner to end her suffering. We also now have $5000 in vet bills because we tried our best to save her, even though she was well beyond the point of being able to be saved.

We take our both cats and dogs here. The staff has ALWAYS been incredibly helpful- from the reception, to the vet techs, to the vets themselves. Diana and Dr. Babb are the best! Ms. Diana gives us so much joy and comfort when we come in and Dr. Babb is so personal with our pets.They call to check up on each of our pets and answer our questions each time we call. If the vet can't talk to us immediately when we call with questions, we always get a call by the end of the day.Prices are reasonable for regular visits- not incredibly frugal nor extravagant. The surgical procedures do surprise us with the prices being reasonable though. We haven't used the pet boarding side but we definitely will continue using their veterinary side for everything. They love animals just as much as we do.
