Placed a Kroger pick up order as I have done before without any issues. This time when I got home I realized they put all 80 items in my trunk individually without putting them in bags. This included meat items not in a bag and leaking blood on my items and vehicle. They placed my hamburger buns at the bottom so they were completely flat and ruined. Then placed wrong items in the order instead of what I actually ordered. Requiring another trip to swap out the ruined hamburger buns and the correct items I ordered. The manager swapped the items out and admitted they were at fault. He also stated there was nothing else he could do and acted like he didn’t care. Was told to call the 1-800 krogers number if I wanted any credit. This is absolutely poor customer service, mistakes happen but the way they responded was unacceptable.

Be careful and look at expired dates. You might be surprised how many here right now and the fresh vegetables might be frozen. Pointed it out and the association had confused look in face when showing him the ice on the celery. Off to a different store hope they get the cooler fixed

One of the coolest grocery stores I've been to in a while. All the staff was friendly and no one even questioned me taking pictures for a Google review. You'll find everything you need here for your cooking needs for the family. This location is also very clean, and nothing seemed out of health standards.

The deli workers at this location are so rude! They roll their eyes at customers and act annoyed that you want cheese or deli meat. At least I know it isn’t personal because i see them treat everyone that way.

Seriously?! Self check out only store?! you have scan hundreds of dollars of groceries by yourself while the machine yells at you every other item and you have to keep waiting on an attendant to come by and allow you to continue. Wouldn’t have even walked in if we knew this were the case. Never coming back again. Pay your employees well and don’t milk self checkout, greedy Kroger.

I needed to get several scripts this morning and the last one was repeatedly not showing sent over. Your pharmacy employee Kristian understood I had a time sensitivity and went out of his way to help me get it resolved. Great employee, above and beyond!!

I have been disappointed at the quality of fruit that Kroger has been producing lately. All though this location appears to be the worst, the quality of fruit has been compared to Walmart. Previous buying fruit from Kroger meant mild to high quality for reasonable price. The strawberries been bad everywhere, grapes and all the melons been horrible. Complete waste of money. I hate to go to Publix or Wegmans just to buy fruit. The fruit has been consistently bad over the past several weeks.

Customer Service and communication from this location is piss poor, unreliable and unacceptable. Pickup order was cancelled 2 hours before pickup time and over 5 hours after order was placed.

Went inside Kroger Friday 10/6/23 and only had 1 cashier for check out and only the south side of self check out kiosks were open and several people in line.If Kroger is forcing the customers to self check out then please open more self check out kiosks. Also need more area to bag groceries after scanning.

A lady Lady in deli &bakery need to be fired no customer service skills at all acted as though I was bothering them didn't want to assist me as they souldve, politely with a positive attitude in the bakery I actually had to go get a manager to handle the situation that manager was really nice ,accommodating ,if employees don't want to have the right attitudes toward customers or don't want to be bothered&give good customer services they shouldn't be working there especially when it got the point that I had to get a manager involved to resolve the issue it's too nice if a store overall to have some employees that shouldn't be there

2 years in a row I've been burned. A year ago to the day I was writing another review about how upset I was with Kroger. Once again I'm trying to get a cake for my son's birthday and I've got nothing to show for it. I show up at my designated time and they tell me there is no cake, they didn't make it. We tried calling you ONE time. Damage control was giving me 2 1/4 sheet cakes when I ordered 1 1/2 sheet. AND I STILL HAD TO PAY! Kroger you've done this to me for the LAST time!

The store has become a disappointment, if you shop after 9:30 PM you are forced to checkout your own groceries. There are only self checkout lines after 9:30 PM. I was at the store tonight and got in the only lane open with a cashier (who was ringing up a customer) to be told "I am closed". I looked at the wrong light since she was by the self checkout that was on. She then told me " But I will take you" I said never mind I would do it myself. She repeated it again - but I decided not to bother her since she was closed. I went ahead and checked out my own groceries. The store prices have went up significantly over the last few months, some items (not meat mind you) over 40%, and you now are forced to ring up and bag your own groceries, what a shame. I assume they make accommodations for those you can not check out their own groceries - when there are only self check-outs. That is not my case, but makes me wonder what they do.I went into the store the Saturday before and had to navigate large pallets of groceries on the floor and overheard quite a few stockers complaining about everyone else they work with, while standing around (Instead of putting up stock).Rethinking my store choices, at least Food Lion always has cashiers to check you out, in fact, there are no self checkouts - I really appreciate that type of service.

It has a decent selection of items, but tends to sell out of sale items quickly. In addition management has decided to replace their employees with self checkout machines. The self checkout machines are temperamental and will often not take cash. Last time I was here I had to wait for an employee to come back from break before I could pay and leave. The rows are also narrow at normal checkout and it makes it hard to remove items from your cart to put on the belt.

I rarely stop at this store any more for a few reasons. First, I question it’s cleanliness. The self checkout scanners are nothing short of gross. There is usually a layer of gunk on them. In the meantime, a store employee will be standing near them doing nothing. The other stores I shop at nearby keep their scanners clean by frequently cleaning them in between customer uses. When recently purchasing salads and plastic containers, there was food/oil on the outside of them. My hand was completely covered in oil. Service in the deli section is extremely slow. Even when they are not busy, I have had to wait and wait for the person behind the counter to serve me as they felt it more important to be slicing some product for the refrigerator or cleaning something. When there are other customers, the deli counter is usually understaffed. Walked away from the deli counter because it takes so long to get served. One of the few reasons I might go into the store is to buy Ukrop’s products. But often those products are decimated and they do not have what I want. The self checkout process is anything but smooth. The robotic voice is constantly telling me I have done something wrong, like putting something in the bag in the area when I haven’t. More hours in the night, I must wait for a store employee to help. Emphasis on the word wait, because here she is busy helping other customers who also cannot get through the self check out process by themselves through no fault of their own. Between waiting at the deli counter and trying to get through self check out (because the regular checkout lines are really, really long and slow), it is impossible to dash in and out of the store. For that reason, I am more than glad to shop at the competition a few blocks away where there is an emphasis on Customer Service. each time I go into this Kroger, I am sorry that I did.

It’s a grocery store. Meat department falls behind on stocking or ordering enough product. Seafood is the same way. Produce has been generally okay, but it’s like a puzzle every time I go in. Nothings in the same spot. Their rotations make no sense. As for the general merchandise/grocery sections, the layout needs a lot of work. I’m not a fan of having cooler sections in the middle of the store away from other cooler sections. And if you’re walking the center cross aisle, you hit a wall forcing you to walk to the front or back of the store to get to the frozen section. But, all that said, it’s a grocery store. Can’t expect perfection.

I used to love this Kroger for prices and selection but today was awful. All the prices are jacked up so that the card discount price is the same you would pay at competitor stores. I spent $40 more than I usually spend each week at Wegmans. Only 2 checkout lanes were open and to top it off you had to bag your own groceries. Sad to see it.

Sent my wife to Kroger to buy a pork picnic shoulder. She went to the meat department and the butcher sold her a boston butt and told her it was the same thing. He needs to be fired. Now I’m out $18. Went there the Friday before Easter at 6pm to pickup some items for Easter dinner. They were out of five basic items:- Whole carrots- Split chicken breasts- Kroger butter 1lb package- Whole buttermilk- Green Giant canned vegetables, corn and green beansMy last time shopping here.

Have shopped at the Midlothian store each week for two years and have been disappointed each time I have gone. It is a poorly run store with shortages of many desirable products. Today they had NO iceberg lettuce (??) and no more bakery bagels except plain and cinnamon raisin. Many of the shelves are disorganized and lacking product. It’s good for them that Food Lion is there only competition but even they are beginning to look good and are much more friendly. Now 3 weeks later, nothing has changed except yesterday when I went to check out there was one checker and no baggers. I was behind five customers with full baskets. I asked why and was directed to the self-scan line where I had to scan and bag. It was not an enjoyable visit but I am thinking that’s Kroger. Guess I may have to drive another 6 miles...

The pickup service has become awful. You get to the store at the beginning of your pickup window and wait 30+ minutes for someone to come to the car. Additionally, the pickers consistently miss items on your list that if you go into the store you find they actually DO have the items in stock. We will be looking at other options.

See my update below re: prices!!!Produce is good, and prices were previously their main strength. Kroger has responded to inflation by recently hiking their prices for canned goods and other pantry items significantly more than other stores. Now you've really got to watch their prices! You'll do much better for Many Items now at Food Lion or walmart.Even before covid, this store had many problems with stock-outs, and during covid more stock out problems than competitor grocery stores. And the checkout experience is its biggest weakness. They push self-checkout, with long lines for a full-service check out.

I come here because it’s usually a relatively pleasant shopping experience. 5 checkers open when we’re about to have a major snowstorm??!! EPIC FAIL to the management. I understand employees have to fill orders for mobile customers. What happened to the customer in front of you being important? Lines are 7-9 people deep. Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!

I am totally OVER this store. Insufficient number of check-out people. Today my small cart has a few items more than the 15 to use the "quick line", and although the check-out person working that line had no customers, he turned me away from it, taking time to walk over and talk to other store employees instead. TOTALLY crazy....They had one regular line open, with several people ahead of me with HUGE carts of stuff...and my cart was a small cart, not very full. When store employees aren't busy and can just walk around and talk instead of helping customers, I will take my business just a mile away...to Wegmans, where customer time and service are valued!

My husband and I stopped for gas at this Kroger’s this morning and got 15.00 in gas. We then proceed to go into the Kroger store for a few items. Our debit card kept getting denied! Luckily we had cash on us to pay for it. We then lo went to our car to check our bank account and found a 125.50 charge on our account from the Kroger gas we had just bought! We went to speak with the attendant and said a hold had been put on the account from Kroger for the gas and couldn’t tell us how long the hold would last and for us to go to our bank to see how long the hold would last! We then proceed to Travel to our bank to see what the problem was! Luckily the sweet lady who works at the bank knew right away what the problem was! She said Kroger puts a hold on your money till the gas amount clears.. so tell me why Kroger put that much hold on our account for a 15.00 charge for gas! Seriously! Plus the attendants need to be able to tell you why it was done and most importantly how long it will last! I didn’t see a single sign posted anywhere that Kroger does this! I’ve never experienced this before either that I’ve been aware of. Won’t be getting my gas at Kroger’s anymore!

One of your associates, Jalese, made my day today. It was Monday, and I had had a TERRIBLE day. I needed groceries and I was hungry and tired. When I got to the checkout, there were only 2 regular lanes open and lots of self checkouts, and long lines in both of the normal lanes. Jalese assessed the situation, took charge, and was able to temporarily open 2 or 3 extra lanes, which alleviated the open cashiers and relieved the guests (myself included). She personally took care of me, and her demeanor and candor were amazing. She was so friendly I left with a smile and was able to get home in a good mood. I’ve been in management my entire life, and I was impressed to see how well she adapted and stepped up to expedite the worst part of grocery shopping. I’ll be back for sure.

I love everything that Kroger offers but this location which is literally 2 minutes away from my house is disappointing. The staff isn't necessarily rude but they aren't welcoming and homey like I wish they would be. Also, every time I buy produce it's either not fresh or goes bad very very quickly. I stopped by there today and there was mold on the grapes which I turned into customer service.I wish management would make sure that everything in the store is fresh and give the employees an overview on what great customer service is. Shame that this store isn't all it could be.

I love shopping at Kroger. Wonderful selection of produce and meats. My one complaint is there is never anyone to bag the groceries so my husband will do it. We usually have a large order so if he didn't bag, things would really back up.

The store is awesome, but only 1 cashier open and no bagger, on a Friday @ 845 pm. No matter how great the store no one wants to be stuck in the line for 15 minutes before you can put your items on the belt. Then to move things along I helped bag my own groceries. Better check out would have gotten 2 more stars. 🌟🌟

Multiple times I have gone into this store to find they had one checkout open. Today the cashier closed after several of us had been waiting. When I went into line, there were three registers open. As several of us were waiting in line, two of the three registers closed. Even someone in the front of the line stated that we had been waiting for a while. The manager likes to claim that they can't find anyone to work but I find that excuse feeble as I can go into another Kroger or even a Food Lion and they ALWAYS have a minimum of three registers open. I'm thinking it's more of a management problem with the Kroger on Tim Price Way/Midlothian Turnpike than it is a hiring problem.
