We had a major renovation project where we required 3 rooms to be re-sanded with one room having newly installed hardwood flooring and the other 2 requiring a 50 year old surface removal (re-sanding) and meshing the 3 areas into one large kitchen/dining area so they all looked the same! FCI put together 3 samples with different stains and provided us with the perfect stain (Expresso) that gave us the perfect look! The folks were great to work with and far exceeded our expectations! We would use them again without hesitation and highly recommend them!

Marie came out within a couple of days of us contacting FCI with samples for both flooring and tile samples for backsplash. We had plenty of both to consider but were able to find what we wanted very quickly. They were flexible in coming out the day after we had new counters installed and they did the flooring, then the backsplash. They look terrific and we felt the cost was very customer-friendly, and the work being the highest in quality. We highly recommend them.

4/20/24 - I am extremely pleased with my experience from beginning to end with Floor Coverings International (FCI) Midlothian. I was in search of a flooring company that carried eco-friendly flooring, particularly with no/low VOCs such as Marmoleum (a natural linoleum), and customer-friendly. FCI checked all of the boxes and then some! Several flooring companies I contacted did not know what Marmoleum was, never heard of it or did not carry it. I am holistic and have issues with allergies and sensitivity to fragrances. We decided on marmoleum for the bathroom and a high quality Revwood for the living room, hallway, and office. The personal service and attention-to-detail that the Mahoneys provide is priceless and rare. The contractors were great. Scheduling was easy and accommodating. We are extremely pleased with the new floors we received on March 29. We would not hesitate to contact FCI for other flooring projects. We highly recommend them.

This is the company you want to go with. The process from start to finish was perfect. Sauni, Max, Marie, and Carlos were all a pleasure to work with. I was nervous to selecting the flooring, but Sauni picked out the perfect wood and we couldn’t be happier. Max and Marie were on site on the first and last day. I appreciate all their communication and efforts during this process. We ran into a small hiccup (whoever built our house installed the baseboards in a weird way), but FIC-Midlo went above and beyond to make it work. They called in a guy who specializes in stairs from DC. They truly cared that the finish product was perfect. Carlos and his crew were awesome. Their attention to detail really shows in the how the floors were installed. I’m really glad I stumbled upon FIC-Midlo on Thumbtack. They are without a doubt the best around. I will definitely be using them again. Thank you guys! We love our floors.I used them again and of course they did an incredible job! Max and Marie are a pleasure to work with as always. We ran into a sub flooring issue and they were able to quickly problem solve. I love my hardwood floors and can’t wait to use them again to finish our downstairs bedrooms.

Marie and her team at FCI were phenomenal. Projects like this may not seem like a big deal to some people, but, for me, they can be nerve-wracking. I was only quoting for 1 room, and I ended up getting quotes for 2. The prices for both were better than what I was expecting. Having multiple payment options for them and being able to take advantage of getting both rooms completed made that decision easier. The floor for the den originally had gross Berber carpet. Underneath it was the red vinyl you see in the picture. I am so happy with the wood look luxury vinyl planks I chose for that room. I love that so much. It's been almost a year since that was installed and it's holding up so great. The kitchen floor had some problems after installation for a couple of reasons that I won't really mention here. Those details are irrelevant. What does matter is how Marie worked with myself and her crew to find the best solutions. I'm a patient guy and after a few months of trying different repair techniques, the best solution to resolve it was to replace it with a different flooring type. It really was the best outcome for me because I got the look I originally wanted for the kitchen, but, this style and manufacturer wasn't part of their inventory before. Since the installation of the replacement, I have had no issues and I love that floor now, too. It really brightens up the kitchen so much. Even though these projects took longer than expected, Marie was in constant communication. I never felt ignored or that any issues would not be taken care of. Everyone at FCI-Midlothian I encountered was very personable yet professional and I enjoyed interacting with everyone. So, thank you Marie, Omari (hope I spelled that right), Max, and the rest of the crew. When I'm ready to do more rooms, I will be contacting Marie and we'll do this all over again. :)

Marie's company, Floor Coverings International, has done numerous jobs for me. From replacing the carpet and redoing hardwood floors to replacing an old tile floor and replacing it with hardwood and carpeting the entire house. I had numerous quotes for replacing our bedroom and bath flooring with LVP. After numerous disappoinments, I was refered to Floor Coverings Internation - Midlothian by our bath remodeling contractor. Marie, the owner was very pleasant, professional and super helpful in meeting all of our needs. Her communication and accuracy was way above par compared to other flooring contractors we got quotes from. The installers were top notch. They worked fast and non-stop until the project was completed. Did an excellent job. This company does it all from helping to choose the right flooring within a budget using a well-stocked mobile showroom, moving furniture (other companies would not move furniture), repairing sub-flooring if needed and following up on the installation by the owner. Pricing was in-line with other quotes. Highly recommend Marie and her team!

Floor Coverings International-Midlothian is a amazing floor company. I had luxury vinyl tile installed in my kitchen and utility room and I am so pleased with the results. Love the fact they are a family owned business and it was so convenient they bring floor samples to your house so you can see what it will look like in your home. I got several quotes for flooring and took over a month deciding which company to go with and making sure I found the right floor for my home. Marie was there from start to finish (literally coming to do a walk through during and after installation was done. The care I saw from her during the initial consultation (and large part of why we chose to go wit Floor Coverings International) carried through the whole project. The crew was timely, courteous and efficient. If it hadn’t been for the fact that I had two rooms full of personal items that would have to be moved into the finished areas, they would have completed the whole house in one day! Marie even found a spot that needed attention and had it addressed instead of hoping we wouldn’t notice. I appreciated her and the team’s professionalism and work ethics. They had exactly the carpet that I was looking for and the finished product is perfect- exactly what I had in mind. I had them put in a runner in my hallway and stairs.
